PSM3 ran an article this month listing “20 trophies no gamer should attempt”. After looking through the list I have a grand total of ZERO. I think some of you have some of the trophies, but thought it'd be a bit of a challenge for gr8jrfan etc to attempt the whole lot
So here they are:
1. GOLD STANDARD – GT5
2. KNIGHTS HONOUR – Dark Souls
3. SQUAT THRUSTING – Fight Night Champion
4. MASTER OF EDEN – Child of Eden
5. ALL MISSIONS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED – Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
6. A GOD IS BORN – Catherine
7. TURNTABLE PERFECTION – DJ Hero
8. METICULOUS COLLECTOR – ICO Collection: SOTC
9. COMMITTED TIL THE END – Lost Planet 2
10. MY KUNG FU IS STRONGER – Mortal Kombat
11. HARD TO THE CORE – Dead Space 2
12. THE BLADDER OF STEEL – Rock Band 2
13. TRIAL ATHLETE – Super Street Fighter IV
14. VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE – MGS 2: Sons of Liberty
15. EXECUTIVE HONOUR – Warhawk
16. WANTED – GTA IV
17. CONQUEROR – El Shaddai
18. MASTER OF TASKS – Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
19. EXPERT OF WAR – Homefront
20. BEAT ZICO – Wipeout HD
May 18, 2012 at 5:40 pm #71774Seibei4211MemberI've got #8, #9, and #11. I'm glad they put Lost Planet 2 in the list. I'm surprised Star Ocean isn't in there though. Getting all the battle trophies in that game is the craziest.
May 18, 2012 at 6:50 pm #71775gr8jrfanMemberI've got #10 : D!!! I'm working on #6 in tandem with Max Payne 3, which should have a spot on the list! Check the New York Minute Hardcore requirements! Doesn't even seem possible! I think it's something like: Beat the game in under eight hours in one sitting on Hardcore mode with no Last Stand, no aim assist, and rare painkillers. Here's the worst part of it: NO DYING EITHER!! I am convinced Rockstar hates trophy hunters now.
May 18, 2012 at 9:46 pm #71776emdeepeeMemberThe list certainly seperates the whores from the hunters
I haven't even played most of the games, nevermind attempted these trophies. I can say though that the DJ Hero one is extremely difficult. I could barely keep up just watching the game nevermind actually performing the right moves!!
May 19, 2012 at 12:26 am #71778Seibei4211MemberYeah, GTA IV should've been a clue that Rockstar hates trophy hunters. Wanted? AWP? 200 pigeons? Pretty much the entire Max Payne 3 trophy list is a test of patience and skill. Only people who completely love that game would attempt to Plat it.
May 20, 2012 at 9:43 pm #71780scotty243MemberMax Payne 3's New York Minute Hardcore seems like a piece of cake as I've played through normal New York Minute and beat it and played the game on hard with free aim (which is pretty much hardcore). I'm not saying this won't take a few tries but it doesn't seem as hard as it looks. I managed to squeeze out 33/47 trophies in just two days so…. yeah, it doesn't seem so hard. My estimated difficulty 4-6 (depending on how you play and how 'good' you are)/10. And I'm not saying I'm the best Max Payne 3 player but this game to me was kinda easy. And that's coming from me so…..
May 21, 2012 at 12:12 am #71782I773D33MABL3MemberMy brother has the GT5 trophy but I haven't a single one. Warhawk and DS2 are the only ones I've properly played.

May 21, 2012 at 11:41 pm #71788emdeepeeMemberNine people on gamercards.net have got the NY Minute trophy but no-ones platted it yet!!

Uh… OK. Is that suppose to scare me away from it ?
The trophies on this game are fairly easy and maybe if I rent it again or buy it, I'll go for it. Plus, I hope you guys know you can abuse the shit out of Bullet-Dodge since all it does is take away from your Bullet-Time Meter (which is pointless IMO, I never used Bullet-Time…). Again, not trying to act like the best player but it seems fairly easy… since every cutscene is pretty much skipped and the missions are like 15-30 mins. of gameplay… so… If I were you guys, I'd be worried about that Multi-Player as MP will not last forever… plus I barely see people playing. Maybe because it's the first week of the game, IDK. I'll wait for a price drop on this title and go for it later… in my opinion, it's not worth that $59.99 price tag.
May 22, 2012 at 3:58 am #71794scottish_wonderboyMemberive platted both versions of dead space 2 so i have hard to the core x2 lol apart from that nothing else. im considering getting RB2 though
May 22, 2012 at 5:36 am #71795gr8jrfanMemberHow are you not scared off from it? If you die, you have to start the entire game over again. It's not chapter by chapter like MOH Tier 1 Mode. You have to beat the ENTIRE game on Hardcore without dying once. Forget the time pressure element or even difficulty. It's the no dying for 8 hours. It'd be pretty difficult to do easy without dying. Hard isn't bad, dude, I agree. But are you saying that you could easily go through without a single mistake on your first try? Not trying to offend but that looks like nothing short of total cockiness or just a lack of knowledge on the mode. I don't even really feel like playing the game for 6 hours straight, it's insane. I'm just going to wait for a while and see if R* change it somehow, because I'd be gutted if I saw a cheap death on Chapter 10 or whatever. It's obviously possible, I'll even give it a good few of attempts, but to call it a “piece of cake” is a bit much…
May 22, 2012 at 8:19 am #71796Seibei4211MemberYeah, even on Hard Core in Dead Space 2, you could take your time and at least get 3 save points to use at your discretion. And the damage and stuff wasn't even at Zealot difficulty. I don't think I would've ever gotten that if I had to go through Zealot without dying and under time pressure.
May 22, 2012 at 9:10 pm #71805scotty243Member@ gr8jrfan
I'm not scared of it because it's pretty easy. I played through the first mission on Hardcore to see what the difference was between that and normal and the only difference was that it was on Free-Aim as Hard you can change the aiming. And the 8 hrs is not a problem at all since I stated earlier that each mission is 15-30 mins of gameplay. Plus, if you thoroughly read the previous comment I stated that, “I'm not saying this won't take a few tries but it doesn't seem as hard as it looks,” meaning that it will maybe take me once or even more to complete. Along with that, it's my opinion that the mode will be easy, not everyones… so calling me cocky is pretty immature (if you're going that route). And I do agree, I cannot stand playing this for more than 6 hrs but for me it's because of the over-stylized cutscenes and all the commotion that is happening on screen. Can't explain it but I honestly got a headache whilst playing this title.
May 23, 2012 at 1:37 am #71807gr8jrfanMemberWell the intention of the message wasn't the cocky sentence. I'm not trying to antagonize you, rather warn you that this has potential to be a real bitch of a trophy and that there could be an exploit or something to make this even easier further down the road. I'm sorry if it came off that way. I can see you're pretty determined about it, don't let me discourage you. I can understand how one can not call it hard, but rather “cheap”, but still easy… And yeah, it's similar to Kane and Lynch 2, without being as bad as that camera stuff. I think at Chapter 11 when he was SUPER drunk, all the blur gave me a mild headache.
