if ht is the real deal, then fw3.00 should be wat everyone is hoping for. i doubt it though

“Cross-game [voice] chat is in the works as part of Firmware 3.0. It wont be out during the summer, but assuming all goes well, it will be out well before the holidays. Current timeframe places it around September, but it’s still very much a WIP(Work In Progress). If there are any major delays, that will slip and if there are very few delays at all, it might even arrive earlier, but don’t bank on it as it is a lot more complicated than you might imagine. At this point, it’s working quite well in the labs and supports several players at once. It’s targeted to work with all past and future games that support ingame XMB, much like text chat.”

Thats what that guy who states he is working at Sony in the hardware department said about the Voice Chat thing.

maybe your right. but wouldn’t it have been the headline of fw3.00. or maybe sony are gonna treat us.

Yep, and this guy was right about firmware 2.8 back in June, and he was also right about the PS3 Slim.

ya remember wen they had that video about fw3.00, they neva showed the friends section. which i found strange cos they said they made improvements. if there is cross game chat, then it would have been in the friends list too
