MemberOkay, so this is a bit of an obscure one so I'm not holding my breath that any of you will have played it but miracles can happen.
I grabbed it off Ebay a few months back but only got round to trying it out today. It's a (relatively) straight forward JRPG about a small girl trying to save her workshop by completing 'assignments' for the local ruler and of course a host of NPCs.
So far I've spent most of my time tapping X through text boxes but I did get to use the sticks for a few seconds here and there. The combat system seems typical enough but I've only had one fight against some “monsters” that looked like reject pokémon so it could get more complex further in.
The art style reminds me of Fire Emblam on the Gamecube but with a little Studio Ghibli thrown in. (I'm sure there's a far more accurate animé reference but I'm no expert) It's polished if not amazing.
Anyways, I'm only about two of the 80+ hours in so I haven't seen much yet but I said I'd start up a thread and see if anyone else had stumbled across it. I'll keep the thread updated as I play through it even if I do suspect I'll end up talking to myself…

MemberAre you laughing at the retarded plot or the fact that I accidentally made her sound like a hooker

MemberBoth I guess
Nothing is improbable in a JRPG… I def. got that hooker vibe though, i think it was the 'assignments' part
What kind of assignments are these that need quote/unquote exactly!?

Are there robots yet? Tell me there are robots!?

MemberAfraid that's a no on the robots so far Doc. But there have been references to “machines” so maybe…
Anyway, I've been handed my first assignment and it's just a slightly more complex version of the odd jobs I've been doing so far. Every task up to now has been a case of “Get me x amount of y” which means I have to go off to gathering areas and click on bushes with my fingers crossed, hoping that it'll have what I'm looking for.
The items needed for the main assignment can't be found in bushes though so I've to use my alchemy skills and “synthesise” with my foraged ingredients. There's a whole host of modifiers and variables that I haven't a notion of yet but I think I've got the basics down.
The gathering areas are where you have to fight enemies and these have varied between blue lumps with eyes to the odd green lump with eyes, but the last area I visited delivered a difficulty spike in the shape of wolves that had the same HP as my characters. I have now discovered you don't die in this game but are simply rendered unconscious…

MemberDid you find any 'old dubby half torn page from Readers Wives magazine' item in any of the bushes!?
