just got mine at midnight. I watched a guy playing in the store while waiting to get mine. i saw the fight with bane.Graphics look insane. I had to stop watching him play cause i didnt want to have anyof the game prematurely shown to me lol. I havent played it yet.its late and i am going to bed now,but from what i saw you all will definitly not be disapointed.

Ouch, sucks to be australian right now… hah, at work right now waiting for lunch break to go downtown and get mine. Will probably post tomorrow thoughts/comments

played it today for quite a while and my first impressions are that the game looks great graphics wise.I personally think that the crazy amount of things/collectables to find definitly slows down the game a bit to much for me =\. As far as trophies go, most of the story ones are fairly easy to get and you dont have to go to far out of your way if at all to get them.However some of these trophies i am finding out are going to be really really tough to get. Especially the 40hit combo one and the get gold on all challenges.I have only managed to get a 22 hit combo 1 time.I havnt been able to do it again.I also have been able to beat the challenge rooms top score yet either.They give you way to little time to keep combos goings it seems.You only have like 1maybe 2 seconds to get another hit or your combo is over.I have yet to unlock all the challenge maps so far and i am hoping there will be a good one to try and get the 40 hit combo one on.This game is also turning out to be pretty long.as i said i played for a long time today and only have like 18% or so story mode done.I started playing on normal to get a feel for it and even on normal some parts seem pretty tough.Hard difficulty trophy doesnt look like it will be a cakewalk.What sucks it i kinda wish i started the game on hard as i will have to do all the collecting again as that stuff also gives xp to upgrade your stuff.Sadly i dont think it will be possible to get all your upgrades just by knocking out guys as there doesnt seem to be alot of fighting(well so far anyways)Just alot of walking around so far =\.

Got Batman.

Great game. Definitely one of the best games released on the PS3 this far in the year.

Great graphics, im finding the controls weird at some points, but thats really not a problem. I love stealth games, so i am really liking the stealth sequences in the game. The story so far is awesome, i wont spoil it. Game is a little slow-paced, but still awesome. The action is more puzzle and thinking then actual fighting. If you plan your attack well, you will succeed easily. If you just go in and beat the crap out of guys, you will succeed as well. There are sections were the Joker just releases like 6 – 10 guys on you, and you just have to fight them in the “free flow combat”.

The combat, is very slow-paced im finding.. its pretty much one button so far. The finishers you perform are awesome, but you just do them randomly, you cant really choose which one you want to do. There is a neat upgrade system, and a lot of challenges. I mean A LOT. I havent got a chance to try out any challenge rooms, so i cant comment on them.

The missions, are a lot of “Find this person”. You can actually search for people by tracing the alcohol on their breath.. which is pretty cool. So the missions are pretty repetitive at this point, but i have hopes that they will change it up.

Overall, i think Batman is a great game. If you liked the demo, then it is a must-buy. I think it is one of the best licensed games ever. Cant wait to see what the happens in the story.

Well, we all have it better than people in New Zealand. They get there's on September 3rd as well but usually they would get there games up to 2 weeks after us!

I can't wait for this, I have it preordered from play.com and they have just sent me an email stating that it is in the post! I will hopefully get it tomorrow (A day before it is released). However if it doesn't come tomorrow, then I will be playing Star Wars as the trophy patch also comes out tomorrow for everyone… I would rather play Batman to be fair!

Agreed! on all points, spot on. The combat will mix up more, EVENTUALLY. its mostly square square square, and the counter w/triangle. you can get through it button tapping but once you get a certain upgrade, timing your hits really counts. Eventually you will face knife wielding enemies, you have to hit circle to stun them. Eventually you face shock baton wielding enemies, you have to double tap x to jump over them, and hit from behind. When you have a mix of normals, knives, and batons, and guns it gets a little crazy trying to tap the correct buttons at the right time, and its more fun. Since I'm only maybe half way thru, there may be more variations coming…

yea i got to those guys, but im still only using Square and Triangle most of the time..

and still, all of the missions have been FIND THIS and FIND THAT.

Its a fun game, Is in second place for GotY so far imo, InFamous in first.. SO FAR.

.EDIT: i have now completed the game.. The ending was pretty damn predictable.

Fantastic game. Time flew by when i was playing this. Which is a good thing.

Now i found some disappointments.

You cant re-play a second playthrough with all your current upgrades, you need to start from scratch. Kind of a pain.. If your planning on finding ALL the riddler trophies and secrets, you need to do it all in ONE playthrough. I picked up a few, and said: “i'll get the rest latter, when i go do other trophies”. But thats not happening.

Combat didnt “evolve” like i thought it would. I still only pressed Square and Triangle the whole time.

Your grapple hook.. what is up with it? You cant grab on to certain objects at one second, then the next, you can. Its annoying when your trying to get out of intense situations. And the aiming on it is kind of sloppy.

Overall though, i will be re-playing Batman a few times, try to plat, and so on.

A brilliant game.
