Agreed! on all points, spot on. The combat will mix up more, EVENTUALLY. its mostly square square square, and the counter w/triangle. you can get through it button tapping but once you get a certain upgrade, timing your hits really counts. Eventually you will face knife wielding enemies, you have to hit circle to stun them. Eventually you face shock baton wielding enemies, you have to double tap x to jump over them, and hit from behind. When you have a mix of normals, knives, and batons, and guns it gets a little crazy trying to tap the correct buttons at the right time, and its more fun. Since I'm only maybe half way thru, there may be more variations coming…

yea i got to those guys, but im still only using Square and Triangle most of the time..

and still, all of the missions have been FIND THIS and FIND THAT.

Its a fun game, Is in second place for GotY so far imo, InFamous in first.. SO FAR.

.EDIT: i have now completed the game.. The ending was pretty damn predictable.

Fantastic game. Time flew by when i was playing this. Which is a good thing.

Now i found some disappointments.

You cant re-play a second playthrough with all your current upgrades, you need to start from scratch. Kind of a pain.. If your planning on finding ALL the riddler trophies and secrets, you need to do it all in ONE playthrough. I picked up a few, and said: “i'll get the rest latter, when i go do other trophies”. But thats not happening.

Combat didnt “evolve” like i thought it would. I still only pressed Square and Triangle the whole time.

Your grapple hook.. what is up with it? You cant grab on to certain objects at one second, then the next, you can. Its annoying when your trying to get out of intense situations. And the aiming on it is kind of sloppy.

Overall though, i will be re-playing Batman a few times, try to plat, and so on.

A brilliant game.

You can go back , so just reload your save lol .

I didnt see an option for a new game, so i figured you had to make a new profile, and start a new game on that… how do you do it?

Just Continue Story and you'll be back on the island post-boss fight with no objectives.

Finished this last night… my only real dissapointment was the length of the game. It wasn't rediculously short, but it wasn't really long either,,, I beat it a lot faster than I expected, especially considering the amount of time I spent looking around for riddler puzzles etc. Hopefully the challenges will make up for that, especially considering the sneaking parts were my favorites. A note to anyone still playing through,,, do the riddler trophies as you go, don't wait till the end. While you can continue after the ending and look around to do them still, theres virtually no enemies, no background music, and it makes it kinda boring.

BigWoop – everything you sid was spot on.

I was disappointed with the length, i was expecting a really long game, and its not that long..

and im doing the riddler trophies now, after i have completed.. No background music is boring as hell, so i just blast Zeppelin on my surround sound to keep me occupied!

Yea just reload your save im pretty sure , i know its a fact to go back because my friends didnt get them all on his run so he got them after and i doubt he would restart lol .

Is anyone else having trouble unlocking trophies for the challenge rooms? I can't get the Invisible Predator trophy despite only using silent takedowns. I've done it 3 times now and no trophy

Did you complete all challenges specified to get 3 bats in the challenge ? Example : Glide into an enemy then silent ground takedown them ?

thats not how you get the invisible predator trophy. All takedowns have to be silent from creeping up behind the enemy. I also have a funny feeling that you should try not to get caught at all. The goons finding the bodies is ok but dont let them see you!

I think one the guards fired a few rounds at me just as I took him down. Perhaps thats the problem then, will try again tonight. Thanks

You think getting the invisible preditor trophy is hard?

Just wait till you start trying to earn '3 batterang' rating on each challenge!

As far as the combat goes there is lots of variation. Sure you can just batterang people and then R2 Triangle them to smash them out but you have to be creative to have fun.

Try haning off a ledge and then smash their head against the railing when they walk by. Try getting them to 'terrified' state so you can scare the hell out of them. Try dropping though glass or laying that c4 spray down as a trap. Lure them with that sonic batterang and then jump out of a grate and take them down. Lure them onto a walk way and then use your bathook and drag them off to their deaths!

Going through the challenge rooms will give you some great ideas. 🙂

NinjaMidgitRyan has posted a really great guide on this site, check it out, especially helpful for the challenges. Specifically though, the invisible predator is all silent takedowns, AND you cannot be seen!!! I know cause I did it three times before I finally tried without being seen, and then it worked. Good luck!

Just platinumed it last night. Don't know why I was crying about it, it was easy really 😉
