Best Game Ever?

In your opinion, what was the best game ever. It doesn’t have to be PS1/2 or 3, it can be a sexbox game or a ghaybox 360 game, also it could be a PC game. If something was on all game consoles then put brackets by it to the better virsion of it. I.E. The Sims (PC). Not that I would ever choose The Sims myself…

Half Life 2 (PC) I enjoied the first one a lot but not as much as this. I personally think that this IS the best game thus far, simply becasue it was iconic for it’s time. It showed us what games could be like and it was one of the first ‘better’ FPS’s. The grapics were astonishing, and it was one of the first games to use the ‘rag doll’ effect when something was killed. Besides the story line was so awesome.

errm this is a tricky one… my best game would have to be the old Spryo games such as gateway to glimmer…

p.s. my school has half life 1 connected to about 500 computers so we can do massive LAN LINE matches…

nice. I wish my school did that… However, what is a LAN LINE?… I though it was called a LAN match, in the sence that it means Local Area Network. I used to be so good at the first one that my brother and his friend used to team up against me and I’d still win.

A LAN Match is what you play useing the LAN network on The LAN Line…

i have 3 best games of all time

1. COD4 (ps3) – simply bcoz it was amazin wasnt it?… ive explained this on lots of other forums so im not sayin it all agen

2. LMA Manager 2007 (ps2) – i spent hours on end nearly everyday on this footy manager game, i loved it! i found it different 2 other games

3. RE5 (ps3) – completely better than i thought it would be (goin off the demo) & i think all modes (story,mercs,versus) are top class

Metal Gear Solid 1. It took the bar, raised it up and said 'Jump it if you dare.' The only stealth games coming close to the first are the other Metal Gear Solid games.

I'd have to agree with the good Doctor.

This game took my expectations, toyed with them for a few hours then showed me what a “real” game should be like. No more Blue Hedgehogs for me!

My favorite game….That is a tough one. i cannot really pick a FAVORITE game since I've been gaming sooooo long. Also, my opinion changes constantly, and my favorite would just depend on my current mood. So, I will throw out a list of ten games that I consider to be great (in no particular order).

Games:

-Metal Gear Solid

-Super Metroid

-Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

-Super Mario World

-Chrono Trigger

-Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

-Tekken 3 (ps1)

-Street Fighter Alpha 3 (including Max and the PS1 version)

-Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PS1)

-Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (it was pretty, like the Gamecube version, and it included all the extras from the PS2 verion)

A few of the top of my head would be:

Any of the Sims series

Fallout 3

As for the retro ones, Pacman all the way.
