Here's a link we should all have a look at so we know what's going on in the boost:
March 19, 2013 at 2:37 am #73072gr8jrfanMemberEverybody should get the DLC. If not everybody, then we can fill the room with 3 other people. So I need at least 3 other people to buy the DLC. I can't get the DLC trophies without your guys' help and here's why: The way the DLC maps work is incredibly strange. In order to get onto the map, all 4 people in the lobby must own the DLC. Worse still, there is no seperate playlist for the DLC maps, they're just presented for voting in regular lobbies. On the bright side, the DLC trophies are not hard at all. There are only two that we have to worry about:
1: Territorial (Silver)
Won a non-private match in each of the 6 new maps
2: Reincarnation (Gold)
Use Rebirth to start again!
For Territorial, once we get into a map, all we gotta do is get into an Adam Grab and not grab the Little Sister. Then we'll all have a score of 0 and we all earn 1st place in a tie. Reincarnation requires us to get to level 50, which takes 66,000 ADAM from Rank 40, then hit the “Prestige” or “Reset Everything” button in the MP Menu. Reincarnation will obviously have to be the last trophy that we all earn.
So yeah, DLC's actually not the worst. It'll take a few sessions to get to Level 40, and that'll give you all enough time to save up for the $10 USD for Rapture Metro and snag all the Multiplayer trophies for good. I've already got the platinum so I'd appreciate it if we get the DLC so I can also get something out of this, too. If everything's still saved onto my online profile, I should have the Speedy Hacker tonic to help the boost go more efficiently.
Just call me Big Daddy …
March 19, 2013 at 4:20 am #73075KriggsMemberSounds good, I'll probably pick up the dlc if it's that easy. Might be fun too.
March 19, 2013 at 7:54 am #73078emdeepeeMemberAw man, looking back (a whole month ago) i wish I'd bought the value pack now instead of just Minervas Den on its own
March 20, 2013 at 2:20 pm #73079I773D33MABL3MemberI have the DLC so I've no problem helping out with that.
A quick slightly off topic question: What's Bioshock 1 like to plat? I had the 1000g on the Xbox but the PS3 version added in a few extra trophies for completeing the game on hard without dying and on survival mode without dying. Are these head-wrecking?
March 22, 2013 at 1:56 am #73087gr8jrfanMemberSo the first order of business is to obviously get the game and get it installed if you haven't already. Once you have it, do the updates and then shift over into the Multiplayer tab because the first time you do MP, you have it install that for around an hour, give or take. Once that's done, post back here and say you did and then we'll start working out time and dates and stuff.
Weirdly enough, when I went to go retrieve the digital version of Bio2 from the new shitty store layout (trying to find it in my download list would be overly tedious) and then I found that the Ultimate Edition had the “Puchased” bag right next to it. Then I remembered it was one of those days were I had somewhat of a completion shopping list and I bought that but totally forgot about it. Sweet! Free DLC packs from wasteful spending!!
EDIT: Ok, I just got this installed in addition to all the DLC so I'm ready to rumble. Oddly enough, I didn't have to do that really long install for the first time you go on to the servers but that's probably because it wasn't my very first time. If that's the case and it somehow remembers installs, Jack and Denzel get to salvage another hour of their time from pointless bullshit. I checked the leaderboards in the “apartment” and I got all of the core stuff done in 15 hours with over 1000 ADAM per game. The time spent is probably a couple hours heavy because I did some regular play before I decided to quickly boost it and I helped out A LOT of people in the group I was in after I was done. I still have my sweet loadout with all the turret tonics and perks to make us go at 100% efficiency, so I'm super hyped!!!
I'd also keep an eye out for this weird, poorly phrased message that popped up when I first got into the MP. It said something among the lines of, “You don't have any DLC installed yet. If you choose to continue, the settings will be modified accordingly.” That freaked me out so I hit “No” and I went back to get Rapture Metro and the message went away. I'm sure it just means you won't be able to play DLC matches without DLC but if you want to be safe, you might want to have Metro installed beforehand…

I can't remember it being to difficult… I think you can manually save at any time you like?? So it's a case of carefully killing a few splicers, keeping your health as high as possible and saving your game often… It becomes a bit more of a tactical stealth game really, plasmid choice becomes more important… Upgraded weapons a must for Big Daddys
It's not so much you can't die, it's just you can't use vita chambers as spawn points if you do… Just save your game often and reload if you die, the 'head-wreck' will depend on how often you need to reload… Slow and steady wins the race…—
I've got a copy of Bioshock 2 I've been meaning to play… I'd be up for helping with this if it means getting the MP out of the way, I imagine it's pretty dead?
Would starting at level 0 be a problem though?
March 23, 2013 at 6:42 pm #73101gr8jrfanMemberYou joining in sounds fine to me. It doesn't matter that you haven't done any of the MP yet but once you hit Level 24, the XP goes by quicker. Do you plan on getting the DLC?

Yeah, I'll get the DLC…
April 5, 2013 at 9:46 pm #73149scotty243MemberBeen trying to avoid this thread like the plague due to whether or not if I personally felt and wanted to boost this game however I guess you guys might as well count me out of doing BioShit 2 (I actually like this game, don't get it wrong!!) boosting. I'm sorry guys but honestly, I'm in absolutely no mood nor do I have any motive whatsoever to boost this game. A handful of trophies for a game that was decent and fun for a day isn't much motivation for me. Yeah, the plat is nice to have, I guess? However, I honestly don't feel like picking up this game again and whatnot. Also, I refuse to spend however much the DLC costs for simply 2 or so trophies and a handful of maps I'll never use again.
Anywho, sorry again for disappoint you guys. I'd rather let you guys do you're own thing instead of (assuming) you guys waiting on me. As for right now, I'm avoiding any and all multiplayer stuff (except for whenever triple xp comes for Max Payne 3 ) since it's a waste of my time and money. If there's a game with co-op that we all have on our list that requires us to play on the hardest difficulty or something, I'll do that however I will not do any competitive “bang bang” multiplayer as of now.
April 7, 2013 at 8:02 am #73154I773D33MABL3MemberNo worries Scotty, cheers for the heads-up anyway.
So that makes us a group of five (Myself, Kriggs, gr8jrfan, Doc-b and emdeepee). That's fine as I have spare copies and can fill up the vacant spot.
How are we all fixed for starting? The Manchester derby is on tomorrow evening and there's Champions League on Tue/Wed so how do we all feel about Thursday evening? Is that okay or would anyone need us to wait until the weekend?
*edit*
Did we always have that dashboard at the top of the site?! Is it an automatic update or is admin actually making changes?!
April 7, 2013 at 8:18 am #73155emdeepeeMemberCan't believe you'd put Ho's before Bro's Scotty, but if you really want that Hannah Montana plat good luck to ya!
April 9, 2013 at 10:01 pm #73159KriggsMemberI'm free to play on thursday if it suits. Can't imagine we'd get a lot done but will probably get to grips with how it all works.
April 10, 2013 at 3:10 am #73162gr8jrfanMemberI have the ACT on Saturday, which is a big test that you need to take in America to even be looked at for any respectable college. I'll be studying for that for a majority of my free time throughout the week so Thursday's not good for me. If it's any consolation, I'll be practically yours after Saturday and you only need 4 people to get into a lobby. You guys could maybe get some practice in or get to grips with the boosting process on Thursday if you guys were still hyped for that date or something. Sorry…
April 10, 2013 at 3:38 pm #73165I773D33MABL3MemberNo wories Nathan, I just threw it out as a possibility. We'll sort something out for next week.
