Okay, so it might have taken a little longer than originally thought, but in the end we all managed to get 'Fire Controller' in MoH and a good chunk of XP.
So a successful boost was had!!
Now what?
Bioshock 2 seems to be a relatively easy boost as there's a game mode that has a min/max number of 6 people. I have three copies alone and Kris has two so even had we times when not everyone could show up we'd be able to fill the room with empty consoles running in circles. (eg. VaeVictas in MoH).
Ghost Recon is another game that with enough players (eight I think) and a shitload of sub-accounts (for creating easy friend challenges) we could easily grind out.
AC: Brotherhood is one I know a few people never got around to finishing because of the MP.
And Red Dead Redemption had a few pissy MP trophies that would be doable considering most of us now have the game thanks to PS+.
So, anyone up for any of the above or have a wish list of their own?
March 10, 2013 at 4:57 am #73030scotty243MemberEm and I were recently having a discussion of possibly doing Black Ops Zombies with your guys' help? I figured it'd be pretty cool since you guys did enjoy the experience Em also stated in a message that he was “da best in da game” so I figured, why not?
To get back on topic, Bioshock 2 sounds quite interesting since Infinite is hittin' the scene quite soon and also it was a good game…
AC: Brotherhood is something I'd be quite interested in getting done since I absolutely loved the experience of that title. That'd probably be a priority amongst others.
Ghost Recon sounds quite the ride since I'd be eager to hop back into it (and PSN is distributing that game for $50 with the season pass! ) as well as I couldn't help but enjoy the game alot.
Please, just no, Red Dead? Does Cockstar even do Triple XP for that game anymore? After Max Payne 3's level 50 (at this moment, 5 levels left!! ) GRIND, I don't think I could swallow the amount of bullshit they've got in that game. With all that, I wouldn't mind doing it however I wouldn't want to do that now. Jack, I seriously think you need to reevaluate yourself and assess yourself because I don't think you fully comprehend what's at stake here, especially with Rockstar
I wouldn't mind finishing Battlefield 3 since all the DLC is available plus we could get our own server, but I don't know if you have to pay or something. Some guy I know (he's not on my friends list though) actually bought a server strictly for boosting.
Uncharted 3, perhaps? I've a few guys on my friends list that want me to do co-op with this summer (which supposedly takes the longest) but the other multiplayer stuff could be boosted among us? With that though, I don't think this is for the faint of heart so this'll be double or perhaps triple the amount of time that we put into MoH? Hm…
Also, I saw you've got Killzone 3 not 100%ed, would you like to grab that? I could help you nab the rest of the DLC since I've the multiplayer still installed? If not, I'd just need to re-download it.
March 10, 2013 at 8:08 am #73031emdeepeeMemberAny of those would suit me, especially RDR. If Scotty doesn't want to help with that one I'll send him over my copy EA Sports Active as my sources tell me his breakfast diet of 711 slurpies is starting to take its toll
March 11, 2013 at 10:21 am #73032emdeepeeMemberAny chance I could throw Resi 5 DLC into the mix?
March 11, 2013 at 3:00 pm #73033I773D33MABL3MemberWhat's involved in the Resi 5 stuff?
March 11, 2013 at 6:24 pm #73034Seibei4211MemberResi 5 just requires 4 people and an immunity to boredom. 30 wins in each of the 4 modes. The 2 Survivor modes each take 5 minutes for their rounds and the two Slayer modes are 3 minutes each. The Survivor and Slayer stuff can be done with 2 people, but the Team stuff needs 4. The team stuff by itself would take 4 hours, but you'd get the trophies for two people. The 2 player stuff takes 4 hours, but only one person can get the trophy at one time. 4 people could play, but there's only one winner. There's also a number of easy, miscellaneous trophies that you can get while you're griding.
March 11, 2013 at 6:34 pm #73035emdeepeeMemberWhat seibei said
i was looking more at the easy miscellaneous trophies but will be happy to grind out the others if need be.
March 13, 2013 at 3:58 pm #73038KriggsMemberWow quite a few ideas put up here, where to start….
RE:5— I'll help out with that if necessary, I have a both disc and digital copies of the game and a housemate willing to help if plied with enough cookies and milk.
Uncharted:3— I would definately be up for a grind in that game , I haven't even touched the sp campaign but if there's room for me in that boost scotty I'm in. I've heard it can take over 200 hours in some incredibly unlucky cases though….
Battlefield:3— Count me in
Bioshock:2— I'd want to make sure I get all the online trophies for this if we end up doing it. I've never played any of the Bio franchise but I can see myself playing through this one. If it's as easy as I've been told it is then I think this should be priority 1 so we get it out of the way before Infinite is up and running.
RDR— Well I absolutely loved this game but I never actually finished it
I would love to get the platinum but I can see this one taking a while to boost. If memory serves me correctly it was an absolute pain in the ass online.
AC:Brotherhood— I really wanna get this one finished. I've been waiting for this one to be boosted for quite a while, should be pretty easy.
Ghost Recon— I actually don't have the game yet so maybe put this one on the backburner for a bit. Please and thank you
…There's one I'd like some help with if anyone's willing to help. I need to finish off MW3, all I need is half the spec ops missions and then survival and then it's done.
March 14, 2013 at 10:17 pm #73054gr8jrfanMemberI'd help you out, but you better get the DLC. That's where the real fun begins!
The only game that I can think of that hasn't been thrown out there yet was AC Revelations. We could get that stuff done in like 12 hours tops for the core game and the DLC. The boosting method is perfectly set up for a team our size and it's super easy to do. Of course, I could understand if people want to get Brotherhood done first, which I'd pick up a second rate copy to help out in if I'm needed.
Other than that, it looks like we share a lot of priorities for boosting. Bioshock 2 is a pretty fun boost and it's by far one of the easiest and best set up for boosting that I can remember. There are like 3 turrets and six of us. Two go to a turret and take turns smashing it and repairing it. Easy peasy
Red Dead Redemption is a pretty fun online MP game. Getting to level 50 doesn't require any organization and it doesn't take nearly as long as Max Payne 3. It's a pretty nifty 100% to have, too.
Resident Evil 5 Versus is a pretty big priority for me because the Versus trophies are the only ones I need for the game still. I'd be willing to help out everyone get what they need from Versus as well. The 2 player stuff won't be as bad because we can divide and conquer that shit without worrying about organizing a time where we can all play it.
I'm up for GRFS still because that sounds like it's going to be a blast. I'd consider doing Uncharted 3 before I actually go hard into it. Don't want another BIGBOSSxSEB or BigDickBrendo situation again…
I'll toss up Grand Theft Auto 4 and Army of Two: The 40th Day and not expect any “yes”es. Patrick and I need to get that shit done. I also only need the online grinding portion of Mortal Kombat Vita left… It actually goes by pretty quickly if we're doing it right, but it's still dull as all hell.
March 15, 2013 at 9:43 am #73057emdeepeeMemberOkay, so it looks like we have a list of titles. Any ideas as to when you want to start tackling these and in which order?
March 16, 2013 at 1:04 am #73058KriggsMemberI'm gonna work out completion times during next week for all of the above and the best way for gaining xp and whatnot in the ones that require it. I'll also make a least of which ones to get through in what order.
There's no point organising anything for this weekend but what days are people usually free to boost, taking into account time zones aswell it'd be great to have some real nice organisation for these.
March 16, 2013 at 9:22 pm #73062scotty243MemberI would've mentioned RE5, but I'm not so sure about wanting to boost that game. As much as I'd like to possibly plat it, that multiplayer stuff doesn't sound appealing and after hearing numerous friends claim how terrible the experience was, I'm not sure.
As for the other stuff, Brotherhood does sound good, Revelations as well. I'm wondering though, do you guys know if the Ezio Trilogy comes with all the DLC or just the Assassin's Creed II “expansion” packs? I haven't platted any of those games and might as well catch 'em all
As for Uncharted 3, the guy who wants me to join him wants to start it sometime in the summer time, since he's the most free there. So there's time to think it through however the co-op stuff is only limited to 3 players, so we'll have to arrange stuff like that in the near future. Saying that though, everyone will get what they need.
What's the easiest to boost on the list? I'd personally like something nice and easy, nothing too hard and meaty
March 16, 2013 at 11:00 pm #73063emdeepeeMember@scotty
The mp trophies are DLC so wouldn't affect the plat.
March 17, 2013 at 12:10 am #73065I773D33MABL3MemberMyself and Jesus were discussing this today and worked out a rough order for the various boosts. I'll leave himself to post the full info but to give a quick answer to Scotty and emdeepee, we're thinking Bioshock 2 as the first. It looks the easiest and fastest to get out of the way and I think almost everyone has it.
March 17, 2013 at 12:46 am #73067KriggsMemberHere's a preliminary list of what order I think we should do this in:
I've only looked into Bioshock 2 at the moment but I'll look into the rest in due course
1:Bioshock 2 (max 6 players and pretty simple to get all the trophies in it, 11 in core 3 in dlc)
2:Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (10 trophies)
3:Assassins Creed: Revelations (10 trophies)
4:Resident Evil 5 (15 trophies in dlc)
5:Ghost Recon (tbc)
6:Killzone 3 (tbc)
7:Red Dead Redemption (tbc)Again this is only preliminary so let me know what you guys think and hopefully we'll get it started within the next week. I have looked into a boosting method for Bioshock so thats good to go.
