Another choc-o-bloc guide brought to you by everyone’s favourite (idiot): kingofgames73.
    Hey guys, gals and gays this is my shot at a burnout paradise trophy  guide with a bit of my (crappy) humour! No internet for this guide as with my 1st attempt (fallout 3) but I have got a handy book with a few trophy lists in it that came free with my ps3 mag (saves the copying and pasting with those annoying images/trophy icons). I have got a platinum trophy on this game (the only plat I have…) and I got it easily in 4 days could have got it in 1 day if it weren’t for school…..anyways enjoy sit back and enjoy the guide….although most of these trophies are too easy…!
The trophy guide
Bronze
Repair your car-drive  through any of the auto repairs
Easy, drive through an auto repair shop (well duh) NOTE: if you cant get this trophy within 10 minutes on playing the game (not counting the 20 minute intro from every ones favourite guy to hate (Dj.Atomica and his 2 pence prostitute)) then this game is definitely NOT for you…..better move on to the next trophy. 60 odd words to describe this trophy tells me I could be here for a long while.

Set a time road rule on any road-beat at least one time road rule
Get a fast car (the hunter cavalry will do just fine) and keep racing up and down on the small roads east of the south bay bridge.
Set a showtime road rule on any road-Beat at least one showtime road rule
Get a big bad car hit R1+L1 (I think havet played the game for ages…..it could be R2+L2) and go smash some cars, if you don’t think you have a big enough car go into an online lobby by yourself, make it private and get out the hunter Olympus (even a blind man could get this trophy with that car).
Win a race-Ok look I'm on the fourth trophy now and I'm already sick of typing out obvious trophy descriptions, so I'm not gonna bother with writing the description of some trophies that are plain obvious eg `Win a race` instead I'm going to write an essay or a cheap joke eg `read last 4 lines`
Win a race Note, Kog73`s handy tip: to win race you must be in 1st place (all the other cars should be behind you) and you must maintain that position until you cross the finish line (unlike Lewis Hamilton).
Smash 3 burnout billboards + Smash 30 burnout billboards- Read previous trophy description
Smash through 30 of those flashy yellow billbo….oh wait Criterion changed the colour because they wanted to look like they were doing something other than delaying big surf island…ill start over. Smash through 30 of those Red NOT Yellow billboards whilst driving….
Drive through ten sets of yellow gates smash gates + Smash through 50 sets of yellow smash gates-Zzzzzzzz
Smash gates are the things that block the shortcuts, so they usually come in pairs, it shouldn’t be too hard to find 50. But if your really stuck search google images for those handy pictures of maps with all the locations of gates, jumps, billboards and the car park locations. I have these pics on my ps3 hdd so if anyone wants one please ask.
Shutdown the nakumura SI-7+Inferno van
You’ll unlock these cars when your trying to get your burnout licence, so no problems here then…
score a X3 multiplier in Showtime-earn a X3 multiplier by smashing busesS
Just smash/blow up 2 buses (Taliban style) whilst in showtime to earn this trophy. If you do a lot of exploring you’ll have came across two parked buses in the mountain area of paradise city (west side of the lake if I remember correctly….) just smash those two
Perform 3 takedowns=boring
Just smash up 3 cars, you can probably just do this online with a m8, easy trophy

Drive through a repair shop during a road rage
Just start a road rage and nail it to the nearest repair shop
Perform a 180 flat spin
Go up to the ramp on a super jump e.g. mine quarry, accelerate to it, press square. Simples.
Successfully land your 1st super jump
Do I need to explain this? Oh all right I will. not as if I'm on holiday having a nice time…….perform a jump off a ramp with the yellow flash…oh wait criterion changed the colour of that as well…..perform a jump off a ramp with blue flashing lights and land the jump (preferably on all four wheels, for some reason you don’t get the trophy for landing on your roof which I think is unfair after all I think its successful enough).
Score a boost chain of X2
Get a speed car, fill up boost meter, press X, don’t crash!
Win a stunt run event
Meh easy again, get a stunt car preferably, head to the mine quarry and just keep pulling off triple barrel rolls and flat spins.
Power Park your car
Power parking is actually not that well known. Not many of my m8s knew how to do it for some reason heck I needed a friend to explain it to me. Get a car that you can handle well, find 2 cars parked with a reasonable gap between them, drive on the road and when your parallel with the empty space between the two cars hit square and try to park on the line as neat as possible. You can also power park in-between two online friends as long as they are in a line, parked and not moving.
Set 10 showtime/time road rules
Just keep driving around all the small roads near the south bay bridge in a fast car, also activate showtime on those roads and head towards the I-88 (smaller highscores needed)
Complete 5 burning routes
Whenever you unlock a new car and have shut it down always do the burning route for it asap, so when you get your burnout licence it’ll be a lot easier to get the elite licence
Drive on the wrong side of the road for 547 yards
Easy trophy but if your actually finding it hard do a race online and turn the traffic off
Successfully land ten super jumps-Wheeee I can see my house from up here
Just land the jumps, easy. Just like this here game
Land a barrel roll
F**K landing a X1 barrel roll try beating my X15 barrel roll record, don’t believe me? Ask for a pic…no glitches where involved.
Find all events in paradise city
You can get a map off the internet to show the locations if your really stuck but seriously its easier to just keep driving around the city, mainly the crossroads but don’t forget the toll booths on the I-88 though…

Visit all car parks in paradise city
1ce again search the web 4 piccies of the locations

Invite a friend to join you in paradise city
I'm not gonna explain this…
Complete a freeburn challenge
1ce again a easy trophy, just like all these trophies when you think about it.
Visit a gas station during a race, visit a paint shop
Do what the trophy says simple
Enter a road rage in the carson inferno van
Unlock the van and enter a road rage, man criterion surely could have been a bit more original
Visit the airfield/Quarry, jump over dead mans edge
Go to where the trophy says, cept with dead mans chest, you have to do the super jump there…
Jump over another players car
Get a friend online wait till he needs to have a crap and jump over his’s/her’s/it’s car, or you could just ask him/her/it politely to allow you to jump over their car.
Eight players meet in the wildcats baseball stadium
Awkward one to do coz you always get some wanka who thinks he’s so high and mighty that he doesn’t have to be in the stadium. Best way I found is to join a 7 player lobby thus you shall be the eighth player there, and message the host politely asking if he can do the challenge where all 8 players have got to meet in the wildcats baseball stadium
Send a mugshot or smugshot-taking the piss, £25 for a trophy?
Everyone hates this trophy. You need an eyetoy or playstation eye to get it and the trophy is required for a platinum. If you don’t have an eyetoy or ps eye your best bet is to buy a cheap eyetoy of e-bay or amazon. Also try asking one of your m8s if you borrow their eyetoy/ps eye. And if it comes down to it ask a trustworthy friend to go onto your account to get the trophy for you. Note only do this if your desperate or you know the guy personally (bit like when you gameshare) but seriously I wouldn’t bother using this method a trophy just isn’t all that satisfying if someone else got it for you
Silver
Smash through 200 smash gates,
Don’t forget those handy images of the interweb….
Earn your D,C,B,A licence
Make sure you always do the burning route when you get a new car, itll help a lot when you want the elite licence.
Score a X5 multiplayer in showtime
Start a showtime in one of the small roads near the southbay bridge and head towards the I-88 for the buses.
Score a boost chain of X4-Vrooooom
If your finding this hard start a online race and turn the traffic off
Score over 50,000 in a stunt run
Hang around in the quarry a bit getting a couple of points and Xs then do the split ramp on the cliff and head over southbay bridge flat spinning like hell
Drive 750 miles
You’ll probably get this trophy when trying to get your burnout licence, no worries there then
Complete ten freeburn challenges
Get a few friends online together and just do a few challenges
Gold
Smash 60 burnout billboards
Don’t forget the pictures on the web, no not porno the pictures of paradise city map with locations
Earn your burnout licence
Not too hard, getting elite is harder but if you listened to my tip bout doing all burning routes when you get them it shouldn’t be too hard.
Platinum
Burnout Paradise elite-collect every over trophy
Best tip I can think of for this one is to re-read my guide….or get some more brain cells

Epilogue
Ok the guide isn’t quite complete, I haven’t covered the dlc trophies which I did plan n doing I know but anyone can feel free and carry on where I have ended. I’ve ended it because its 10:45pm, 31st of august tomorrow I’ll be back at home on the ps3. So yh sorry but at least I’ve covered all the trophies needed for platinum, even though most of the trophies were just plain obvious but hey I had fun writing it, anyways till the next guide good-bye I’m now off to swear at my guitar because the G chord sounds nothing but shit
