I have to agree with Parnakas on this one. This guide just says what you have to do for each trophy and is not exactly a guide for some of the trophies. For example a decent guide on how to get through veteran mode would be useful for quite a lot of people, but if you only have 30% of the trophies you may not be able to give a good guide on something like that!
November 16, 2009 at 1:05 am #50129hemphcakeMemberI have to say this 'guide' is lacking to say the least!
some tips of my own:-
VETERAN
This is 100% easier than COD:W@W
Take your time, use cover and let your team do some of the dirty work! Grenade spam has stopped so holding back is an option.
SPEC OPS
Still working on these myself but really not to tasking, play with a friend to make matters easier!
RANDOM TROPHIES
Desperado
Real easy in spec ops or 'The Gulag'. Knives and grenades DO NOT count as a weapon but also note that these DO NOT break your streak!
Pit Boss
This will take patience and routine!
- section 1:- kill left to right (3 shots total)
- section 2:- right to left (2 shots total)
- section 3:- bottom left, bottom middle (1 shot 2 enemies), top left then top right (4 shots total)
- section 4:- left the right (2 shots total)
This is when i would have to change weapon to the pistol! You should be lookinG to reach this in about 18 seconds.
- section 5:- knife (top of stairs), pistol kill left to right (3 shots total)
- section 6:- shoot the first enemy while also hitting the distant far left enemy (1 shot), sprint forward and line up the next 2 enemies (1 shot, be careful of the civilian), then take out the last 2 easilly (3-4 shots total)
November 16, 2009 at 1:14 am #50131The GeneralMemberI think anyone who posts a guide should have 100% (for psn titles) and/or the Platinum, because then you have actually gone through it and have received the trophy, its not just guess work or what you read off another site.
Thats just my 2 cents…

Ok 70% is enough. But 30%, not enough indeed.
I think we should be thanking Scott for his time instead of questioning his reasons . He contributed to this site , and many of us should be thanking him . The trophies are straight forward , so you dont need to know rocket science that beating the game on Veteran is beating the game on Veteran . I ve made one guide for a Psn game , and found writers block can make things difficult , especially when your trying to write a guide to a trophy you dont have . Scott doubled that to about 50 trophies to props to him , besides , your one to judge , wheres your guide ?

To me it just doesn't seem right. OK Thanks Scott for making a guide but the game has been out for about a week, you don't need to rush. Its not going anywhere. Exmp. I think it would be better to give tips or Youtube videos about Veteran instead of just saying whats in the Trophy Description.
November 17, 2009 at 3:01 pm #50288BigWoopMagazineMemberTwo things:
1) Is anything that Scott stated in this guide incorrect? Not as far as I can tell. Sure, it may not be entirely comprehensive, but that doesn't mean its wrong.
2) At what point is it a trophy guide, and not a full on game guide? You want a walkthrough for veteran mode? Go find it. Thats a game guide. But seriously, where do you draw the line on that? Most games have trophies that involve completing almost everything there is to do in said game, and so a full write up is easily a full on game guide. If you need someone to hold your hand through the obvious stuff, you need more than what a trophy guide is going to tell you. Otherwise, it makes sense to be straight forward about the straight forward trophies.
November 17, 2009 at 7:45 pm #50294r23drummerMemberi think everyones just jealous that he got a guide out first lol
but seriously, it is a bit lacking in deatail
November 17, 2009 at 11:05 pm #50303W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberDomba – Rushing ? No , i was able to go 60 % on this game in less then 2 days , so as you can see , its pretty damn easy . I bet you Scott is just taking his time , playing more Multiplayer then Story mode , as most of the community does .
November 18, 2009 at 8:05 pm #50371ScottSummers1MemberI've completed the story mode on regular and have just started playin it on Veteran. I haven't put a lot of time into this game but have spent most of my time on multiplayer.

look guys.. you dont need 100% to make a guide, hell, you dont even need the game.
But if you would like to make a good guide, you should have at least 70 – 100%.
Sorry to be a downer, but this guide pretty much just re-states the trophy description, your not really giving any tips or anything.
Im no expert in guide making, but i do know a good guide from a bad one..
you just completly contradicted yourself there. if you dont have the game then you cant have 70%…
ill admit some of his points just restated what the trophy description said. but some were good. you just need more practice at this and you will be fine. i think you just have to beat the game and finish most of the spec ops and your good.
November 18, 2009 at 11:08 pm #50390W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberOnce my platinum is achieved , il be making my own guide with Intel Locations and in depth Spec Ops help from moi . Might take a while but look out for it .
November 18, 2009 at 11:38 pm #50392xxKnightmarExxMemberOverall it's a good guide, I'm stuck at a difficult decision at the moment, I have enough money to buy either Borderlands, Assassin's Creed 2 or R&C: ACIT on the weekend, or I can wait another week when I'll have enough to buy MW2, anyone wanna help? Im swaying more towards Assassin's Creed 2 right now…

well, obviously the choice is yours, you should get which ever game you think you will be interested in the most.
Assassins Creed 2 is fantastic, once you get into the game, the beginning is slow, but its really well done.
I dont have Borderlands, but i have heard that it is amazing..
If your a fan of the previous R&C games, then get ACiT, because i heard that is one of the best in the series.
If you want replay value, then go for MW2 because of online, or Borderlands, heard theres a lot of great co-op stuff happening there.
