this whole cruelty thing does sometimes go a little too far in my opinion.
Now im not saying that cruelty to animals doesn't exist, I'm just saying that when there are several billion people demanding such large amounts of food, it's only natural that the superior being will start to harvest the lesser fortunate species.
this world is ugly – some poeple whine and complain and then demand food and not expect to see where it came frm, the way it's done, or the process of it all.
it's like people who eat burgers and then cower at the very site of a cow being slaughtered. my god people, that's just the way it is!
people complain about chickens and turkeys etc… but that's the same situation really. as with most other animals.
well, gee… if you don't wanna eat those because of they way they are harvested for YOUR consumption, then why not go eat something else? Try a snake? or insects maybe? They are very nutritious! But wait… WHAT? you don't want to eat those because they're 'icky'? Well, well, well… aren't we picky?
Vegetarians aren't much better… they think they're doing the wolrd a favour, when in fact they're just avoiding the situation by denying themselves something the human body actually NEEDS, and all the while thinking they're superior to everyone else. Pshh… You're just cowards who can't stomach the reality of our world and it's food.
Sorry if my rant there offended anyone, but that's just the way i feel about the whole subject.
In summurisation… there's cruelty, and there's reality. People now-a-days are too frail and sensitive to clearly define the two.

Your're agruments for eating meat are pretty weak. There are plenty of replacements for meat in a diet that actually taste great. And what in meat is it that's so good for the human body exactly? Meat is rich on iron and protine, which are crucial nutrients for us to survive. But there are LOADS of other ways to get your daily dose protine and iron. To me it sounds like you think that if you don't eat meat your body will get run down and you will suffer an early death. Thats not true at all!

Nope. actually i eat very little meat.
Animals eat Animals by NATURE.
yes there are other ways to get the protein and iron and such, but why bother when you can get it all from meat?
June 1, 2009 at 5:38 pm #27392r23drummerMemberi always thought that KFC were the lesser of 3 evils when it came to fast food, the others being McDonalds and burger King, guess i was wrong :/

You can't compare humans and animals when it comes to eating meat. For instance, a lion can't make himself a soyastake for dinner, humans can. And animals dont breed other animals to then sloughter them. They kill them because it's their instinct.
Why bother eating anything else with iron and protine? It's healthy, it's ethical, and no animals deserves to die just because I'm hungry.
June 1, 2009 at 7:45 pm #27401Ps3 FreakMemberIt is all animals instincts to eat other its “the way of life” (u gota love jungle book) except herbivores of course they have evolved along a different path… Its human nature to eat other animals (like sed by others previously) but if you wish not to eat meat then thats your concern, not ours…
Just know this all u vegetarians that you will single handedly bring the end of the earth, u want to why…? well us meat eaters eat beef which stops the farting cows getting over populated and releasing more farts…
my last paragraph was a joke…

Even tough you're not being serious, I would just like to inform you all that the meat industry is responsable for 18 procent of all greenhouse gas emission, while only 13.1% av all greenhouse gas emission comes from transport. So actually it's you thats responsable for the end the of the world
June 1, 2009 at 8:32 pm #27407Ps3 FreakMembercan u plz explain wht besides animal farting and the transport of the dead/alive animals releases greenhouse gases in the meat industry?

The billions of farmed animals crammed into factory farms produce enormous amounts of methane, both during digestion and from the acres of cesspools filled with feces that they excrete.
Also a large amout of Nitrous Oxide emission comes from manure and poultry droppings as well as the indirect emissions of N2O from atmospheric fallout of ammonia and nitrogen oxides and leaching of nitrogen compounds from manure.
June 1, 2009 at 9:41 pm #27426XeroTheGreatMemberOk AleksW, if an animal died of natural causes, would you eat it's meat? Yes, it is cruel killing animals, but at the end of the day, it's survival of the fittest.
What do you think of catching/eating fish then guys?
June 1, 2009 at 9:45 pm #27428monkeymoobsMembermeat tastes good i recently went carnivore for a week for a bet yay me got 20 pounds and i was good only down side was i gained about 6 pounds but thats because i only ate meat so dont say your reasons are weak for eating meat

stab a fish, it wont feel it. stab a chicken, try stabing yourself and see how much it hurts the chicken

I dont really care that they are serving chicken, and yes they obviously have to kill them. But ripping their heads off while they are alive? And its all the un-nesesary shit they do to the chicken.
