Dante's Inferno Trophy Guide
(By Miiiitch)
Introduction:
Dante's Inferno will take gamers to the western world's most definitive view of the afterlife as created in the 13th century by the Italian poet Dante Alighieri in part one of his epic classic, “The Divine Comedy.”
You assume the role of Dante, who descends into Hell after returning home to find his beloved Beatrice murdered, with Lucifer seducing her soul into the underworld. The following 12 trophies are all collectible related, the collectibles in this game are relatively easy to find. As of writing this I am unable to find any vids on YouTube of the PS3 version but when I do I will post them, here is a link to the IGN walk through though which includes collectibles locations http://au.guides.ign.com/guide…..ge_17.html. The collectibles in the game include include:
- Shades of the Inferno (These are damned spirits that spend eternity in the circles of Hell you may choose to either absolve them for their sins or punish them)
- Virgil Commentaries (Virgil is a spirit who guides you on your journey, you come across him most of the time you are playing the game)
- Relics (Relics are equip-able items that you use to enhance your abilities, you will come across demon dogs and when you absolve them you will find a relic. Also some relics can be obtained by talking to Virgil and also from defeating certain bosses)
- Judas Coins (There are 30 Judas Coins to collect and you can get hem by opening the fountains which have orange liquid in them)
- Beatrice Stones (There are6 Beatrice Stones in the game, however you only need to collect a max of 3)
Precious (Find a Beatrice stone)
See “Power of the cross”
Power of the Cross (Find all 3 Beatrice stones)
The locations of the Beatrice Stones are as Follows:
1/3 – After getting off Charon, you will come to a hall with his head lodged in the wall, just past that is a Beatrice Stone. Also use this time to get the “Burning Eyes” trophy.
2/3 – In the maze of Gluttony you will see a orange fountain in the bottom right crner, there is a Beatrice Stone in that.
3/3 – After the mirror maze area, you'll climb down a wall with several fire spouts.
Upon reaching the bottom, you'll be in an area with purple and green fountains. Jump up to the alcove to the right. Then jump left across the gap. You'll see an item fountain behind you and one further ahead. You have to jump in an awkward way kind of around the wall to get to the one further along, which has the stone in it.Footsteps of a Traitor (Find 10 pieces of silver)
Betrayed with a Kiss (Find 20 pieces of silver)
Well Done, Judas (Find All 30 pieces of silver)
Relic Hunter (Find a relic)
Light Relics (Find all Holy relics)
Dark Relics (Find all Unholy relics)
Forbidden Love (Find and absolve both Francesca da Polenta and Paolo Malatesta)
You will come across both these Shades in Lust, you will come across Francesca first and Paolo towards the end of Lust.
Old Friend (Find and absolve Brunetto Latini)
You will find Brunetto while travelling through anger he is the first shade you will come across once entering the desert area, very hard to miss.
The Damned (Punish or absolve all 27 shades of The Inferno)
Depending on which path you chose to take be it Holy or Unholy, you should either absolve them for Holy experience or punish them for Unholy experience.
The Guide (Collect all Virgil commentaries)
Make sure you talk to him until he disappears.
Soul Reaper (Collect 60,000 Souls)
You don't have to be holding 60,000 you just have to collect that amount. This should come towards the end of the game. The higher the difficulty the more souls you will get.
Burning Eyes (Send Charon back into the abyss)
See “Power of the Cross”
Warming Up (Perform a 50 hit combo)
“See Poetry in Motion”
Masterpiece (Perform a 200 hit combo)
“See Poetry in Motion”
Poetry in Motion (Perform a 666 hit combo)
Really not as hard as it sounds, towards the end of the game you will travel to a place called Malebolge. Once there you will face a series of 10 challenges, one of the challenges requires you to stay in the air for 8 seconds instead just keep spamming cross attacks as the enemies will continuously re-spawn so it should take about 4 mins. If you don't have the 50 hit or 200 hit they will unlock in the process.
Holy Warrior (Kill 30 Minions)
These are the most common enemies in the game they are you generic bad guy and don't do much damage at all, this will be one of the first trophies you achieve.
Demon Slayer (Kill 30 Demons)
Demons are black in colour and taller then Dante, although they are common there are stronger variations you will face later in the game they also count for this trophy though.
Bad Nanny (Kill 20 Unbaptized Babies)
You will come across these in Limbo and also in Lust very easy to kill but they attack in packs so for those playing on a higher difficulty just try not to get overwhelmed.
Indigestion (Kill 5 Gluttons)
As the name suggests you will first confront one of these on your way to Gluttony, just avoid their vomit attack and they should go down easily.
Confessional (Kill 5 Heretics)
You'll see these guys while going through Heresy, pretty easy to kill just don't try and hit them when their down as their cross hovers around them and also watch for when they teleport.
Countermeasures (Kill 20 enemies using a counter move)
This is best attained if you buy an upgrade on the Unholy track to counter projectiles, once you have anytime you see the bats that spit fire just counter and send it back.
Superstition (Kill 20 enemies using magic)
Depending on the difficulty you choose you may have to soften the enemies up a little first.
Give Me Strength (Open 20 Health fountains)
Green fountains contain health.
Sorcerer's Apprentice (Open 20 Mana fountains)
Purple fountains contain mana
Light in the Dark (Reach Holy Level 7)
You get Holy experience for absolving enemies.
Death's Apprentice (Reach Unholy Level 7)
You get Unholy experience for punishing enemies.
Holy Man (Max out the Holy path)
After you finish the game you can choose to play through again with all your equipment unlocked. To max out both paths you'll need a lot of souls so on your second play-through up the difficulty as it'll be easier with all your unlocks.
Man of Evil (Max out the Unholy path)
“See Holy Man”
Gates of Hell (Defeat all enemy waves in the Gates of Hell Arena)
You will unlock this at the end of the game, you will face 50 waves of enemies and have a time limit. Depending what difficulty you finish the game on will determine how hard this is so if you play the game on easy this will be on easy.
Well that brings this guide to an end, all in all I'd say your best bet is to rent this game unless your like me and buy all your games in case of DLC. Any questions then feel free to post, constructive criticism is welcome but make sure you actually read the guide first and bear in mind this is a TROPHY guide and not a game guide. This guide is not to be used anywhere but http://www.allps3trophies.com without my permission, if you see it elsewhere please notify me.

February 15, 2010 at 2:26 pm #57865Doc-BMemberThere's a much quicker way to the 666 trophy – The first of the “challanges” require's you to kill all enemies with just magic, so put the diff. up to max and just keep spamming the “sins of my father cross attack” – i got about 597 combo on the normal mode so on hard you should get it easy… And in about a min…
This game is let down by easy trophies…

It's worth a rent but only due to how short it is, the platinum can be achieved in one sitting. Very good game though.

Yeah but that is a set amount of enemies, not everyone will play on the hardest difficulty when it's not needed for a trophy. So with mine they can play on easy or medium and the enemies actually respawn.
