Yeah, I haven't come across a lot of glitches so far. There was one where we were running to an objective, then suddenly I got teleported about 100m backwards. That only happened once. And the one that's kind of annoying is if I try to give my friend something and he accepts the trade, but I accidentally reject it, the trade will end and the items will just disappear so no one has them anymore. That happened a couple of times. But as for the co-op itself, we never had any trouble. He joined without problems, I never had any lag, he mentioned some lag, and there was one time where his game froze.

I killed 150 zombies with analog controls – trophy DID NOT unlock but icon at bottom right in game said Trophy unlocked and logged it as complete.
I was playing story mode on my own as I have been able to get online but found it rarely tracks my progress even when we are in the same point in story. I completed several missions over the space of 2 hours on my own and noticed the save icon symbol so decided to have a break and turn it off (before turning off I also clicked load from last checkpoint and it went back to the last mission I had completed). When I turned it back on I had lost all that gameplay and it had gone back to its previous save file meaning I will have to repeat all those missions and lose all my progress.
October 9, 2011 at 3:02 am #70879Doc-BMemberSo the 'Bloodbath Arena' DLC has been delayed again
http://greyviper.com/7522/bloodbath-arena-dlc-delayed-dead-island.html
If the 'polishing' the Dev. team claim to be doing is up to scratch then the DLC might turn out to be pretty good…

Still spending most of my time playing this… So far I've still had no luck getting into a game with anyone from my friends list… But received several friend requests from random noobs So if anyone still wants to play his co-op give me a shout… It might take a few attempts though
—
On a side note I got my “All I need is one” trophy tonight It was the one trophy i though might be a headache to get, i was gonna try and get someone to help me online eventually but never thought i would've got it solo Removed one of the harder, IMO, trophies…
Going for the 250 kills with guns, it's taking ages thus far And I'm missing 4 areas of the map… But i hardly did any side quests first time round so that should come with time
Def. looking good for the Plat.
October 9, 2011 at 4:53 am #70881gr8jrfanMemberMy game was corrupted last night and I lost 25 hours of progress. If there is one game I wish I never bought, this is it.

Ouch!! Sorry to hear that man
It happened to me with Borderlands before, but to be fair i did have all the trophies… So it wasn't so much of a burn i guess But still, happens to the best of us

If you want someone to co-op it with I've a couple low level Char.?
Guess you wont be waiting for the DLC if you Plat. it before the release??
October 10, 2011 at 11:59 pm #70890Seibei4211MemberGosh, so up until last weekend, me and my friend have had pretty good luck with this game. We never had any problems getting into each other's games and stuff and we didn't get a lot of game-breaking glitches. But then last weekend we couldn't get in each other's games and it was weird. Like the only times we could get in, our mics wouldn't work. So basically now whenever we want to get into a game, we both have to go and delete our game data, reinstall it, and get in like that. And if one person freezes or otherwise leaves, we both have to go back and delete the data and repeat that process.
October 13, 2011 at 5:38 am #70897gr8jrfanMemberI warned you all of this monstosity. Thanks to my friend, I hopped onto his save and did the oleander glitch until I hit 44 as Logan. So I should be able to still be competent enough to join your games now 🙂
October 13, 2011 at 6:48 pm #70900Doc-BMemberSo after about 60 hours I've still only killed about 120 zombies with guns And only found 4/5 unique weapons from weapon chests, and I'm checking a sh!tload of chests
Aaaaand… I'm at the prison for the second time in my 'proper' game, done all the side quests I've came across whilst having a proper wonder about the areas removing all the green from the map I can… But I've only 69/72 found for the trophy Hmmm…
The third play will be a bit of a G-R-I-N-D…
October 18, 2011 at 9:16 am #70868tommyflopMemberWell I got platinum last nite. All I can say is what a great game. Early troubles and frustration, freezes while driving and a few glitchy graphics, nothing fallout 3 cant top. Truly enjoyable game. Went thru entire game with a mate which doubled the fun. Only advice i'd hive is use purna on your main game, she ranks up miles quicker with one of her skills getting her 150% more xp. Cant wait for the dlc. Monstrosity? Not at all. I even got a cameo appearance from doc-b, which was nice.

Had to show off my mad driving 'skillz', ha I'm just glad i got a game with someone from my friends list… Instead of playing with, and getting lots of blank invites, from random Noobs

Rough start for this game but i think it sorted its self out nice enough… I actually find myself looking forward to the DLC, whenever that might be released Hope to see some of you there??
You gonna be playing the DLC Mr. Flop??
October 19, 2011 at 9:59 am #70915tommyflopMemberTell you what doc, you sort yer headset out and well join up and slay the waves of naughty zombies together. As long as there's no driving involved. You gave me tummyache. Mid november innit? My mate will be on too. Bring your best wakizashi!

I was thinking about playing it through to get a Lvl50 'Zeds Demise' and adding an electricity mod or something… Presuming that you start with your main save game inventory intact??
And 30 waves at Lvl50 sounds like a Mini Moxxi Grindfest… Depending on how many zombies per wave and the difficulty increase of each prevailing round…
But with at least three pretty proficient players perhaps 30 rounds of Lvl50's will be just tough enough?? Or will the diff. Lvl with the numbers of players… And speaking of Moxxi I bet you could do the 30 rounds easy using the same tactic…
Plus the new patch… Although other than game stability I'm not sure what else there gonna patch?? Any mission glitch i came across could be sorted, pretty much, by joining an online game… The duplicating will be a priority I'm sure
I'll dust of my headset but I never really say anything
Catch you, and those naughty zombies, mid-november… If not before…
October 23, 2011 at 1:42 am #70930scotty243MemberI had rented Dead Island and i thought really fun but not worth the full price tag. and the leveling up was really dumb because you level up then the zombies level up with you.

I kinda get what your saying… But killing zombies is where you get your main XP later in the game. At the start you might only get 11-300XP depending on the zombie type, but when your Lvl 40+ and getting 150+XP for regular zombies mean that if your doing a quest for say 4500XP you can get another 4500XP just killing zombies while your actually doing the quest itself… And the beast weapons you get make it easier rather than the zombies becoming low level while you get higher…
It would take an epic amount of time to get to level 50 if the zombies didn't Lvl… I think it was roughly 300'000XP from Lvl49 to 50, don't fancy doing that at 11XP a zombie
Xain's rage in the right area later in the game can get near 9000XP a blast… Getting to Lvl 50 didn't seem like to much of a GRIND at all??
October 24, 2011 at 6:12 am #70939Seibei4211MemberI think what he means is that it's stupid that when you level up, the zombies level up at the same time as you, so you don't really get much of an edge on them. It makes doing sidequests and stuff more pointless. Like the whole point in levelling up in an RPG is to get stronger to take out tougher guys, but then you can go back and completely destroy the low-level guys without a sweat. Also, the amount of health you get per level doesn't really make up for the increase in damage from enemy attacks at higher levels.
