Good news about the games, maybe less so with the film, D.J. Caruso isn't exactly the best director in the world.

July 27, 2009 at 2:17 pm #33473MiiiitchMemberA dead space movie could work but they'd have to use the key elements from the game that made it good, the one thing that a majority of fans liked (myself included) was the sounds of the game and the fact you never knew what would happen(on your 1st playthrough).

hmmmmm a movie? Game to movie crossovers never make me feel good but with the right people behind it it might be great!!

I'd definitely recommend it. I wasn't that struck when I played the demo but got the game anyway. Awesome game that definitely lived up to its promise.
July 27, 2009 at 4:27 pm #33480shadeblackParticipantyeah as long as they keep the atmosphere of the game, it'll do well.
but i doubt they will do it right.

Super Mario Bros
Street Fighter
Mortal Kombat
Tomb Raider
Resident Evil
Doom
Bloodrayne
Silent Hill
Dead or Alive
Hitman
Max Payne
The odds of it being any good are probably slim but surely someone's got to break the cycle of shit at some point.

Mortal Kombat and DOA were great movies. I have DOA saved on my PVR. Great action movie with hot women.

July 28, 2009 at 10:51 pm #33760XeroTheGreatMemberThe minute I saw the storyline of Dead Space, I immediately thought it'd be good as a film. Still, it'd take one hell of a director to pull off a good movie. I wonder what the story will be in the sequels…
July 28, 2009 at 10:54 pm #33763pool96MemberI think a nazi zombies movie would be good where the backstory gets explained a lot better and we follow Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Rochtofer through their quest to find a cure!
It would be like a more gun-ho version of Resident Evil
July 29, 2009 at 2:14 am #33882CoryAllenMemberwow i agree. that'd be really cool! wow that's brilliant!

Again, I think it'd have to have a brilliant story so it doesn't sound far-fetched.
