So me and Doc have laid our cards on the table. Anyone else getting this? If you still need convincing, this trailer ought to do it.

July 12, 2011 at 7:08 pm #70224I773D33MABL3MemberI've had the Collector's edition on order since it was available. The original game for the PC was awesome (if a little clumsy at times) so I can't wait to try it out on a console. The story sounds like it's going to be class.
July 12, 2011 at 7:08 pm #70225gr8jrfanMemberI’m getting this one, too. Seems like people are in 2 camps. They think this is going to be one of the best RPGs of the year or they think it’s going to be downright stupid.

No way… That's ridiculous… Or rather they are.

Gameplay Trailer- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-DwoCkpBFA&NR=1
'Action' gameplay – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BySw2wLH5Ns&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
The 'action' reminds me of Mass Effect 2, that's not a bad thing… The upgrades kinda remind me of Alpha Protocol, although on a much grander scale, and i played that a few times… The 'feel' of the game reminds me of Blade Runner, voted best Sci-Fi film a while back, all round awesome film…
The only reason i can see some one not buying this game is if they don't understand what its actually about… Or don't like sci-fi, RPG and quality games
July 12, 2011 at 8:30 pm #70229emdeepeeMemberThere's a few interesting editions coming out, but I've just gone for Zavvi's pre-order edition which comes with one extra mission pack.
Collectors edition looks good, but £100 is a bit much for me!!

July 12, 2011 at 11:04 pm #70230I773D33MABL3MemberThe price tag is a bit of a balls. But every year they seem to creep higher. It'll be interesting to see how much this year's Prestige edition is going to be. That usually tops everything else.
July 13, 2011 at 12:44 am #70231Doc-BMemberThe 'Augmented Edition' seems to have the best of both worlds… All the useful in game content but non of the bulky other stuff at a decent price… The sniper rifle is a must
I'm not sure if anyone uses ShopTo.Net (UK), but they normally have pretty decent prices on everything and free next day P&P… I get most my games from them, there delivery is pretty spot on… Everything on a Thursday…

Regular – £36.85
Augmented Edition – £44.86
Collectors – £84.85
July 13, 2011 at 5:37 am #70232gr8jrfanMemberYeah, my friends in real life are stupid about games. They only play Call of Duty, call every other game gay. I’m sure you know the type. How weird that this forum is the only one that has genuine hype for it though… I never buy CE’s. The only exception was the God of War Pandora Box Edition 🙂
July 13, 2011 at 7:55 am #70235emdeepeeMemberI managed to get it for £32 with zavvi and being a tight fcuker didn't think the extra content was worth £13
July 13, 2011 at 7:54 pm #70243emdeepeeMemberHalf hour of gameplay for those of you with the time to spare!!

September 4, 2011 at 7:12 pm #70658Shadiest187MemberThis is probably a better place to talk about Deus Ex rather than filling up the 'What are you playing' thread…
So I'm halfway through the game, and after my little experience with the unconscious guards suddenly becoming dead guards I did a little googling & then read that there's a chance I won't get 'Foxiest of the Hounds' because I didn't sneak into the police station at the start, not a happy bunny
That got me thinking though, I mean surely the fact that I talked my way in & in turn there was NO alarms raised surely I should get it…? As much as I love this game, not getting those two trophies at the end is going to p!ss me right off
September 4, 2011 at 11:51 pm #70659Doc-BMemberI finished my first play the other day… And managed to get the two golds in the process
—
Other than the bosses i found the game pretty easy overall, mostly due to using stealth… I would've prob. used stealth quite a lot anyway, but the fact that there were trophies made doing anything else kinda pointless…
The story was pretty engaging whilst the boss battles were pretty unimaginative… Not to worried about NG+ having played it once, got plenty of praxis during the game… Keeping them until needed making almost any 'problem' i encountered minimal at most
Had a look at the hidden trophies, a couple of which I'd never have guessed, using a guide for the e-books and cracking on with my hard playthrough… Not looking forward to the bosses And i though there were only two ending but i read there are four But, for people who know what I'm talking about, there was only one switch available to press I must have missed something??

Unlucky bout that tranq. gun sh!t man I used it a couple of times but not much… You could leave those trophies for your hard run if you need… It makes sense to stealth it up then anyway. Still, sucks balls big time…
I also jumped over the fence at the side and checked out the 'evidence storage' at the police station first before going in through the roof during the 'Motherly Ties' side mission so i don't know if going in the front counts against you?? Fingers crossed, eh?

****Tiny Spoiler*****
Instead of pressing the switch you could walk out the room, there was a hallway to the right
September 5, 2011 at 8:16 am #70665emdeepeeMemberSome DLC confirmed for the game.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/317684/deus-ex-human-revolution-dlc-confirmed/
I actually forgot to install the 'explosive mission' pack before I started my first playthrough so I've still got that to look forward to once I finish
