So… I guess my time is up. I'm leaving APT for good and I don't think I'll even come back to look at the trophy lists. Even though I ended up coming late with only about 15 people posting it was still a blast seeing some faces here but this place has become an empty wasteland. Only 3 (?) people still post on here including myself, gr8jrfan, and Emdeepee (I think that's it) and the admin doesn't seem to really care anymore. I honestly don't think I'll go for plats that are difficult and are a wreck to play *cough* Battlefield 3 *cough* and instead play games I enjoy such as Mass Effect 2 or Batman. But anyways since the people I know on here are on my friends list, I can just keep up with them on there. So…. I guess my time is up. Goodbye, APT.
January 29, 2012 at 10:10 am #71471emdeepeeMemberThis place has been slowly dying for the last couple of years. Its a shame cause when I signed up it was massively popular but I guess like anything else people just lose interest, including admin apparently!! The fact he has close to 800 posts shows how often he used to contribute to the forums but he's probably only made half a dozen posts in the last 12 months!! He hasn't even bothered to remove the 'Linking my webpage…….' thread. (For those who haven't checked Level_producers website, its worth a look if your into the whole 'I Love Jesus' thing )
I don't really care much for the trophy lists, I just liked the banter in the forums (even the bitching could be quite amusing at times). I'll keep my eye on the site but I can't be arsed to go over to another site now.
January 29, 2012 at 6:26 pm #71474gr8jrfanMemberThis site has and always will be the highlight of my gaming career. Not so much the website, but the interaction outside the forum and the people who are members. This site is where I have become the type of gamer I am. I still play with the guys from here and you all rule, but that's it, really. This site is basically a few people making small talk, and we can just do that on PSN. I have created a text chat, “The APT Brotherhood”, and I and a couple individuals regularly join it. It's time to move on, and if you're interested, migrate to the chat. Thanks for the memories. Goodbye, APT.
January 29, 2012 at 6:51 pm #71475emdeepeeMemberI think the most frustrating thing is that there are nearly 8000 members, but most of those have never bothered to jump into the forums. At the end of the day this site is for trophy lists (there's usually anywhere between 10-30 guests visiting the site most times of the day, I'm guessing that again they're looking at the trophy lists NOT the forums). The forums were probably just something that got added as an afterthought and then took on a life of their own.
I know a lot of the older members left because of all the bitching, but with the exception of the aftermath of the trophy competition there hasn't really been much of that on here for a while.
January 29, 2012 at 8:02 pm #71476kingofgames73MemberI'm more of a reader, than a constant poster (if anyone remembers me!), however when i come on to read the threads here, most of its the same `boring` threads that offer no real discussion, but simply a straight up answer to the title of the thread.
Also been extremely occupied since mum was rushed to hospital, and the had major operation, she was on life support for a week and still in hospital atm, making very slow progess.
January 30, 2012 at 5:08 am #71477HardAndSloppyMemberIt is quite sad. I wish it could last longer but we all know it is the end. We have all had some good times, bitching at each other, arguing etc. Hopefully we can all play some games together sometime on psn, and keep the memory alive. I think I'm gonna stop going on here as well. It is only threads about what games we are playing and its becoming very bland. This is the end, and I wish you all the best. See you on PSN
March 24, 2012 at 3:38 pm #71515I773D33MABL3MemberBAH!!
What the pox is with all this fatalism?!
This is a group of guys that have probably re-started the same time-trial five hundred times to get a trophy, spent days finding the 184613447981 collectables in a game and ground their teeth to dust beating all their games on Insanecore mode! You ended up here because you NEVER give up on anything!!
I'm going to abuse the lot of you on PSN until you start posting again!!!
March 25, 2012 at 10:11 am #71521emdeepeeMemberGoodl luck pal
I did consider creating some new threads for new games like Mass Effect 3 (anyone want to discuss the ending that has caused such a shit storm?) and Journey etc but I haven't seen anyone on here for weeks so it seemed a bit pointless.
Maybe, just maybe…………………….
September 2, 2012 at 10:19 pm #72248emdeepeeMemberThis is kind of converse to the thread title but didn't seem much point creating a new one, however, it seems that the site passed 10,000 members today. A landmark to be sure but I just wonder how the site can have so many members but still only have a handful of regular posters.

Exactly. I don't really see the need (or the point) in joining as a member unless you're going to contribute to the forums (let's be honest the trophy comment section is a bit wank) as you don't need to be a member just to view the trophy lists.
September 3, 2012 at 1:49 am #72252scotty243MemberI also find it to be quite bullshit on how we have that many members but none even try to post or say something. I still see Machietti (?) post in those comments for the games, lol.
To actually be on topic with this thread, I don't plan on leaving this site and to tell you the truth Em, I actually checked out the site after I “left” every few days or so…
September 3, 2012 at 1:58 am #72253I773D33MABL3MemberIt's a good figure though as that means we have a nice rounded 10,000 innactive members. But you do have to wonder how so few of them bother to interact with the site. And the odd “new member” that does crop up in the forums usually says hello, gifts us with a handful of random posts in old threads, and disappears.
I'd understand if we only discussed specific titles and ignored everything else but most of the ongoing threads (Watching, Listening to, Playing etc) are as general as possible and even the most casual gamer can join in the chat.
September 3, 2012 at 2:13 am #72256scotty243MemberMight as well post here than make a new thread but have any of you guys received friend requests from people that are “on” APT? I've received a few and I've never see them as a member before…
September 3, 2012 at 2:57 am #72257I773D33MABL3MemberNever, I recognise evryone that's ever sent me a request from here. Who did you get them from?
