C'mon the Spurs!!!!
If the likely result plays out and Chelsea win the League then at least I can console myself with the knowledge that neither City or the Pool will grab fourth.
Here's to being a bad loser
May 5, 2010 at 11:24 pm #61714emdeepeeMemberI've had a real beef with Man City this season over the way they handled the Joleon Lescott transfer so I was extremely happy to them get beat by Spurs
May 6, 2010 at 5:50 pm #61726KnoxieMemberhaha i was wrong! spurs have did it! (:
i only wanted to see city come 4th so it would be more interesting seeing what city get up to next season with champions league football 'nd all.
if spurs splash out some cash on some players in positions like CB (king cant play too many games in a short period of time & i dont think bassong is good enough, mind dawsons class!) and maybe a better CM and ST? if they do i can see them moving onto better things as well, as they already have quite a good strong squad.
May 6, 2010 at 7:04 pm #61735monkeymoobsMemberForest playing Blackpool in the playoffs this weekend hope they win cos if they do i'm going to Wembley to watch the playoff finals and i've never been before.
May 10, 2010 at 5:50 pm #61809KnoxieMembernot a bad end to the season eh!?!
looks like chelsea are gonna do the double if the wigan game is anything to go by.
May 10, 2010 at 5:55 pm #61811bubblefish67Memberthe teams going up from league 1 seem like they will do better than teams coming down from the prem. championship should be farely open next season imo
May 10, 2010 at 6:42 pm #61815gangadeenMembertottenahm need another cm!!! are u nuts?? we have palacios (class) huddlestone (getting there) modric ( amazing on the wing, great in a central role) and ofcourse that gem kranjcar ( got him £2.5 from portsmouth…they got robbed) and we have squad players who can fill in like jenas kaboul and maybe rose….well when i think of it maybe another strong attacking mid would do ( pienaar cough cough ) but thats asking alot. However…. cf robbie looks like he will be stying at celtic ( h8 him ever since he left for pool) gudjohnson aint all dat and pavalchenko ( if thats how you spell it ) is up and down, cant knock crouch coz he scores vital goals i.e. man city match and despite defo coming back from injury but still he needs to up his game cos i have been unimpressed with his game so yh a big quality striker would be needed (someone who can bring us to the next level like torres did for liverpool) and cb….dont knock bassong his done well for a first season and can partner almost any1, dawson yes is class and im sure his booked himself a seat on the plane to south africa alongside the impeckable ledley king whom i feel is just as gd as terry and rio just a bit more prone to injury coz of dat knee.In my eyes another are which needs looking at is in goal….. gomes is fine his in the top 4 keepers in the league easily but cover, dont get me started carlo cudicini looks finished after that crash and the guy in goal at burley ben alnwick wont be stayin much longer..so a good vet goalie will do fine or someone who can keep pressure on gomes.
May 11, 2010 at 6:49 pm #61854emdeepeeMemberSo Fabio has named his provisional squad and in all honesty I can't see England doing very much at the World Cup. Although the squad has some “very good” players, there seems to be a shortage of “world class” ones.
Goalkeepers look particularly weak. One from a team that got relegated, one from a team that was nearly relegated and one that spent the season at Birmingham with only one international cap to his name, doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
Getting Carragher out of retirement highlights how short they are of quality defenders (plus Ferdinand may be ruled out through injury). Midfield is strongest area but we know how much trouble Gerrard and Lampard have playing together.
Then Wayne Rooney as the only “world class” striker. Yes Defoe is very good, but world class? NO. Don't even get me started on Emile Heskey!!!
I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not. I've nothing against the English team, just the English press, who build them up for weeks on end then turn on them just as soon as they get knocked out!!
Edit: Brazil have left out Ronaldhino and Adriano from their squad. Obviously not good enough!!!!
May 14, 2010 at 9:05 pm #61917monkeymoobsMemberWell Blackpool beat Forest on Tuesday bloody arseholes but i suppose it's better to loose now than it is to lose in the finals

The atmosphere was amazing in there that night!!!
Fulham have got a great chance to win it now as Atletico may also have an eye on the Copa del rey final aswell. Liverpool going out was awesome an all, gotta love taking the mick out of pool fans!
Anyway…
Chelsea have surely won the title now, cant see Wigan getting as much as a touch there.
what? 23/24,000 there wasnt it? lol you definetly havent been to a bigger/more active stadium.
It's not often that Fulham play teams like Juve! Plus the atmosphere is one reason why it's so hard to win at Craven cottage
And no, I haven't been to a bigger stadium Although I'll go to Wembley if Swindon get to the play off final
May 15, 2010 at 12:50 am #61922pool96MemberI hope Spain win the World Cup, I think they have a good chance aswel, and I hope they beat France in the final in the most sickening way imaginable. I can imagine David Villa with a crazy handball to beat France in the final. I would love that.
May 15, 2010 at 1:12 pm #61936KnoxieMembershould try going to st.james' park then
yeah spurs have good CM's but i dont think they have a quality CM, like liverpool have gerrard and chelsea have lampard. i just think if theyre missing the inspiration of someone like them and thats what they need if they want into top 4 again imo.
gomes in top 4 prem GK's? given, reina, van der sar, hart, jaaskalinen, theres 5 ive named off the top of my head that are at least at a similar level, well, except given as i think hes probs the best in the prem (:
lol at the england squad:
Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green.
Defenders: Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock (what was he on while choosing him?).
Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner (im very happy he chose milner, world class now imo), Scott Parker (unexpected but good pick?), Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Forwards: Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey (oh god!), Wayne Rooney.

Man City are nothing without the money. Don't think they deserve 4th place.
Totally agreed! !
Nevertheless, they aren't winning anything with or without money…

HAHAHAHAHAHA at Brasil.They will suck.
As for England-I can't see them winning something.Too many oldies.
May 25, 2010 at 12:20 am #62119iiDiNkStErRMemberUh well my wembley dreams over st james park sounds good right now
I think Enlgand did pretty well tonight, pretty much everyone performed to high level, apart from Carrick, my god I hope he aint in the final 23.
The seven I reckon that should be omitted are; Warnock, Upson, Carrick, Wright-Phillips, Parker, Barry(only as I reckon he's injured) and Carragher/Dawson (Dawson's still to play but I'd much prefer him over Carragher)
