lol torres played crap today, liverpool can chase top 4 i hope ( wishfull thinking) but we will try. saturday was mad watching sky sports news all these goals flying in.
any1 catch the old firm game? 10x better than chelsea vs liverpool, 7 yellows 2 reds 4 goals and a penalty WELCOME TO SCOTTISH FOOTBALL 🙂 LOLFebruary 7, 2011 at 5:50 pm #68968KnoxieMemberkranjcars goal was sublime man, and what perfect time to score! really glad for him, hes a cracking player! but i dont think anything had beaten tiotes goal this weekend, just the technique of him smashing it without letting the ball drop is unbelievable! not only that but he rarely ever scores!
manu were terrible outright! wolves defo deserved their win and they seem to always do well against the big teams somehow anyways, judging on di matteo going, i now think west brom, wigan and wolves are for the drop.
dont think capello has brung anyone in for gerrard yet :/ all i know is green and c.cole are in to replace foster and crouch! in my eyes barton is the most in-form english midfielder right now, but we know what capello is like, anyone with a bad history = no thank you! he was reluctant to take carroll last year!!!
great win for pool yday, after seeing the lineups i was honestly feeling the worst was to come for pool with 5 at the back, but it somehow worked! meireles is looking an outstanding signing now (even if he does bottle tackles) and im sure more is to come from pool when suarez and carroll form a deadly partnership!
@MDP – im sure everton will be safe! yous have a good team, and should be boosted by cahill coming back as well as the in-form saha! i honestly dont know how yous are down there with that team!
and yes i did watch the old firm, what a great match as always! flying tackles and cracking goals always make a good game and you could tell from the start it was on of them! i also watched GSS and phil thompson was fking great on it! :L loved how he screamed when we scored that final goal!

February 7, 2011 at 6:00 pm #68971pool96MemberActually it was 3 at the back for us on Sunday, Kenny done the same thing against Stoke and it's been working. It was Reina in goal, Carragher, Skrtel and Agger the 3 backs. Kelly and Johnson were wingers with Lucas and Gerrard in centre midfield. Meireles and Maxi played as inside forwards just behind Kuyt, well that's how they started anyways.
Martin Kelly has pulled out of the England U-21s squad after spraining his ankle yesterday and Martin Skrtel done some ligament damage in his groin I think, he took a painkiller and an injection at halftime to finish the game. With Joe Cole, Jay Spearing, and Andy Carroll still injured and Steven Gerrard, Martin Kelly, and Martin Skrtel all doubts for Saturday's game with Wigan this is probably the worst our injury list has been all year.
I suppose a push for Champions League qualification isn't completely off the wall, there's six points gap (Tottenham have a game in hand) but if we can keep our run going, beating Wigan and West Ham which takes us into March where the only Premier League games we have is at home to Manchester United and away to Sunderland we should be getting at least 4 points from them two, then April is a huge month with matches against Manchester City, Arsenal, West Brom and Newcastle. Tottenham at Anfield is the second last game of the season, might be a huge game yet.
February 8, 2011 at 5:49 pm #68981KnoxieMemberwerent kelly and johnson wingbacks? thats how they were set out to be on SS1 anyways, and wingbacks count as defenders! its all looking up for yous with kenny anyways, by next season im sure yous will be challengers again with him at the helm!
im hoping newcastle sign that ewerthon on a free sometime soon, we could do with him as he has proven to be a great striker in the past!
February 8, 2011 at 7:06 pm #68984pool96MemberSky always struggle with the Liverpool team haha, on the official webstie though it is lined out as a strict 3-4-2-1 but sure I don't mind if Carragher plays up front as long as it works.
If United lose to City this weekend and we beat them at Anfield, title race will be blown wide open (not for us though) I hope Arsenal or Manchester City win it although deep down I know United are going to win it even though it sickens me to bits.
February 9, 2011 at 1:27 pm #68987KnoxieMembercarra :L i hope you mean kuyt! if yous are gonna stick with that formation, once suarez is fully fit i would put him in for maxi (who imo is not good enough) and then drop kuyt behind suarez.
manu have some hard games coming up, and i do want them to lose to see a real title race, looking too easy for them atm! someone needs to take advantage of their 'not so good' away form (yes they mightve been unbeaten but nearly all draws!).
anyways i hope england win tonight, but i wouldnt be suprised if they made it hard for themselves, as per usual! im hoping they line-up like this:
Hart
Johnson Terry Dawson Baines
Walcott Wilshere Lampard Downing
Rooney Bent
obviously had to include the likes of terry, lampard, and rooney cos they are nearly certain to start. if im honest tho i'd rather see cahill in for terry, parker in for lamps, and young in for rooney! that would mean young plays off bent, walcott and downing become attacking wingers and wilshere and parker drop back to defensive mids.

haha I meant I don't care where people play as long as it works. I don't mind if Pepe plays as a striker if we're winning. I agree Maxi will probably lose his place he is a squad player. That miss was just cringeworthy.
I am really happy for Republic of Ireland's result last night. I know Wales aren't going through a good patch right now but we scored goals and that was important. New players got blooded like Seamus Coleman and Ciaran Clarke. I've seen a fair bit of Darren Gibson this season and I knew he was capable of those efforts, Damien Duff is playing well lately, I was impressed with his last game for Fulham. I think we should really start pushing Robbie Keane out the door now, he goes down too easily and it frustrates me. He certaintly shouldn't be captain. It should be Richard Dunne or Shay Given. Kevin Doyle doesn't score bucketloads but he works hard. Leon Best could be a good future prospect.
February 10, 2011 at 5:50 pm #68997KnoxieMemberi hope for the signing of ewerthon and who does pards bring in instead….. SHEFKI KUQI?! :L
anyways a good win for england after looking edgey within the opening 10 minutes! and aye coleman and clarke are looking terrific prospects for the future! even best is looking good atm!

ooo nice one! i was debating on whether to go actually, but in the end me mates cba :/ no win in 3 for yous innit? if we go anything like the way we did in the 2nd half v arsenal, yous are fked!
but im not too sure we'll win if im honest :L i reckon it'll be a 2-2 draw for some reason..
February 12, 2011 at 9:46 pm #69011Kieeeraaan. LMemberlol a little rivalry here. Btw what was the final score in that match? Anyway Kranjcar did it again!!! I haven't actually seen his goal yet (Ill see it later on match of the day.) but it must be amazing because its a volley and its Kranjcar.

it was 0-0 :/ glad we got the clean sheet but so disappointed we didnt win considering we totally bossed the game! burn had 1 clear chance and it hit the post. why lovenkrands tried a chip (which hit the bar) instead of just squaring it to best for an open goal i do not know! enrique rightly motm, he was the best player on the pitch by miles and ran rings round salgado! you got away with it tommy!
another great goal by kranjcar! but i dont think anything beats rooneys! i still hope tiote gets goal of the month tho :L
February 13, 2011 at 2:59 pm #69017Kieeeraaan. LMemberRooney's goal was amazing. I was watching the match and when he did that I was like OMG did that just happen???
February 13, 2011 at 10:19 pm #69019tommyflopMemberYeah we were shocking. Worst game i've seen in a while.
