February 19, 2011 at 9:18 pm #69067I773D33MABL3MemberWell the United v Crawley game was a disgrace. Half the United players were asleep and Rooney made even them look dangerous when he came on. €250,000 a week to lose the ball every second touch? What a joke.
I was looking forward to the game since it was announced and now I just want to forget it.

Well as a Liverpool fan I loved the game, Crawley played United off the park and really deserved a draw, I mean even Sir Alex conceded that, I was getting so excited when that header hit the crossbar I was hopping up and down I thought it was in.
I remember a few years ago we were nearly embarassed in the FA Cup by Havant and Waterlooville. We aswell just slipt past them without any real justification from our performance to go through.
Wayne Rooney didn't play well after he came on but he wasn't particulary bad compared to the rest of the players. He showed his nasty side of the game when he kicked that Crawley town player. It's alright to be frustrated, I would've been frustrated in his position, but if he's getting paid the money he is you think he owes it to find a different way of venting his frustration.
February 20, 2011 at 12:50 pm #69077trophyhunterMemberi never saw the match…………..,wa was the score ?????????????????????
February 20, 2011 at 2:09 pm #69078NinjacatMember1-0 to United.
I'm not into football at all, but Crawley is my home town, and even I know they deserved a win.
February 20, 2011 at 3:29 pm #69081KnoxieMemberglad to hear gutierrez has said hes going nowhere after lazio have been rumoured to be planning an £8m bid! and red they were 2 pretty good games! if you want, the next time you're on fifa give me a game and we can do the good ol' newcastle v liverpool
baines, what a player! to do that in the final moments of ET when the pressure is on is magical! soo glad everton are through, it just puts more pressure onto carlo! chelsea will be lucky to get into the champions league next year nvm win it this year!
you dont know how much i wanted the underdogs to win… if only that header had crept in, forcing manu to go to crawleys congested pitch wouldve been unreal! bebe has to be the worst signing of the season tho :L around £5.5m for that piece of sh*t is tragic! him and obertan have no future at the club at all in my eyes. fergie has made some amazing signings over the years (ronaldo, nani, vidic, evra etc) but he does make some stupid ones as well!
city v notts is heating up now! cant believe county hit the post from a lovely effort :/ thought it was going in! dzeko – who is he???
February 23, 2011 at 11:22 am #69122pool96MemberI guess Chelsea are through so, you can't see Copenhagen pulling anything off at the Bridge, which is fine with me I hope it distracts them from 4th spot. If I want Torres to score any goal for Chelsea how about a couple against Manchester United.
Blackpool great result last night, although Tottenham are still 8 points ahead of us with a game in hand, but you never know. It's been a very odd season so far.
February 23, 2011 at 2:51 pm #69123KnoxieMemberany new transfer talk then?
pardews planning a £10m summer bid for c.cole supposedly, while looking into the possibility of crouch or wickham instead! :/ also been linked with a move for cisse should he be a free agent next month as well as a £6m move for odemwingie! :L wouldnt mind either of those 2 but i reckon we should go for perotti as he is only valued at £6m too!
we have pretty kind upcoming fixtures so hopefully we'll get into europe for next season. a top 10 finish is key but im not ruling out 6th or 7th place as we're not that far off!
February 23, 2011 at 7:36 pm #69126Kieeeraaan. LMemberI am really hoping tottenham will buy a new striker and new full backs in the summer. We need a proper goalscorer. Defoe has been quite disappointing this season. Crouch sets up a lot of goals but rarely ever scores. 2 goals in 27 prem games is not good enough for a striker. Pavyluchenko is ok, probably more of a sub than a first team player. I think our strikers have a total of 7 goals combined this season. Pretty poor. Our full backs usually seem to be involved in every goal we concede, so i'm hoping we could get at least 1 quality full back.
February 23, 2011 at 8:03 pm #69128trophyhunterMemberi would love 2 see Forlan come 2 de Prem……he is unreal.
if he does go 2 the Prem he should go 2 Chelsea cause Drogba is gettin old nd his form is poor………that would be an unbelievable strike force… Anelka…Forlan…Torres…nd then Kalou on de bench
February 24, 2011 at 12:51 am #69131pool96MemberLiverpool being heavily linked with Celtic's Emilio Izzaguire and Barcelona's Ibrahim Afellay.
I heard a story about Djibril Cisse claiming he was leaving Panathinaikos because fans in the Greek league were extremely racist towards him. Cisse struggled when he was with Liverpool, but he is very, very fast.
Tottenham were reported to have tried to buy every striker going in Spain on deadline day in January, Fernando Llorente, Alvaro Negredo, Sergio Aguero and I cant remember the other one.
Another incredibly boring Champions League game involving Manchester United tonight, you would think they will go through at Old Trafford though. Looks like Inter are out though, late away goal from Mario Gomes, have him in my manager mode team
Arsenal grinded out a win tonight but at a cost it seems, both Francesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott were forced off with injuries. Robin Van Persie wasn't even in the squad because of injury aswell so Barcelona must be counting their chickens.
Europa league tomorrow, Liverpool V Sparta Prague (0-0) Daniel Agger and Jay Spearing are both fit, Steven Gerrard a doubt. Luis Suarez is ineligible, Andy Carroll and Jonjo Shelvey both out injured. Fabio Aurelio went off injured during the game in Prague but I couldn't tell you if he'll be fit or not. My proposed team:
25. Reina
23. Carragher 37. Skrtel 5. Agger
34. Kelly 21. Lucas 26. Spearing 2. Johnson
4. Meireles 12. Pacheco
18. Kuyt
It's important we start quick and don't let Sparta get an early jammy away goal.
Manchester City are also at home against Aris Thessalonika much the same situation as the Liverpool tie it's 0-0 City SHOULD go through but you just never know.
Rangers have on paper the most difficult job, they go to Portugal to play Sporting Lisbon and Lisbon have an away goal it's 1-1 after the game at Ibrox.
I think Liverpool and Manchester City will go through but I really doubt Ranger's chances. They must have been knocked a bit by the 3-0 defeat to Celtic where they were really outplayed.
EDIT: Just found out Theo Walcott will definately miss the Carling Cup final against Birmingham on Sunday.
February 24, 2011 at 9:17 pm #69134scottish_wonderboyMemberlove the pundits and some off you guys dismissing rangers chances lol we have no money we had 3 teenagers on the bench but still got past sporting lisbon WOOOOOOOOOO. as for liverpool another not great game but who cares last 16 here we come
hope city get knocked out lol but if not one of my teams will draw them in the last 8 and knock then out xDFebruary 24, 2011 at 10:25 pm #69135pool96MemberThe Liverpool game was better than last week, but another poor game from Ngog. I was getting very nervous before Kuyt got the goal.
Fairplay to Rangers I didn't think they would get through but that shows how much I know about them, must've been a cracking game 2-2 and two late goals.
Daniel Agger went off injured it seems it was his calf again, that's been a proble most of the year for him. I hope he's not out for long he was really playing well.
Manchester City are 2-0 up as of now. Two Edin Dzeko goals, he loves every competition except the Premier League it seems. Now way back for Aris I would say.
Fabregas is definately out of the Carling Cup final on Sunday, along with Theo Walcott and Thomas Vermalaen. Robin Van Persie and Abou Diaby are both doubts. It will be an excellent chance for Birmingham to nick it. Arsenal wont be holding anything back despite the Barcelona game coming up Arsene Wenger knows how important it is for Arsenal to get that first trophy in 6 years.
The Ibrahim Afellay transfer to Liverpool for the Summer seems to be gathering pace, reports in Spain claiming Barcelona would be willing to sell him.

wow i have not been on this site for timee……… newcastle getting c.cole = terrible signing, if newcastle have anythink near the £35 mill from the andy carroll deal ( doubt it due to their weird chairman) then newcastle can really put the past behide them of relegation and focus on getting back into there rightful european postion, i like newcastle as a team and feel with there there current squad they should secure 12th-9th, all newcastle really need to do in the summer is buy a good PROVEN striker(leon best OK along with ameobi, nile ranger does the job and the dannish one….dont get m started 1-2 squad players and focus on keeping the like of enrique,nolan,barton(h8 him but his good) and i feel we have a good chance of challanging for europa league football ( allthough they would be competing with vill, sunderland, and bolton plus one of the top 5 drop outs which could be city, pool, spurs and even Chelsea) and
February 25, 2011 at 3:37 pm #69143KnoxieMemberpardew has said about 10 times he is going to have the £35m and spend it wisely, but i still am a little skeptical on whether that will happen! c.cole would be alright as long as we got another striker for him to link up with, and nod the ball onto, but £10m is waaay too much, £5m is a better amount. glad you like us tho :L the bolton game is vital to determine whether we will push for that europa league spot! win the next 2 games (bolton, everton) and i reckon we've got a big chance looking at our upcoming fixtures! we definitely do need a proven striker tho, wouldnt mind lisandro lopez if im honest! tiote signed a new 6 and half year contract today so hopefully that will provide a catalyst for others to sign new deals such as colo, enrique and barton! we keep these players in the summer and buy a few players along the way including a world class striker and without a doubt we should be challenging for a champions cup spot next year! over and out.
