Great performance from the Toons today getting them a well earned point. The back four were solid and made a mockery of Torres.
To be fair it doesn't take much to make Torres look ordinary these days.
Glad West Ham have sacked Grant. He's just got one of those faces that you wanna punch. Looks like a Mossad agent too!!
May 15, 2011 at 9:23 pm #69751KnoxieMemberS.Taylor for England! Getting back to his best he is, back 4 years ago he was predicted to be an England first teamer so hopefully he can fulfill that if he keeps up these performances! Then again, Newcastle has been overlooked this season internationals-wise (with the exception of Carroll), Barton would be in the England squad by now if he was at a top 6 club.
What a great day of football though! Unlucky for WHU, and sadly, I don't think they'll be to bounce back up straight away. I hope some of that £35m gets spent on a couple of West Hams players though, most notably Parker & Ba.

Should be interesting. Love winding up the guys in work when Cardiff fcuk it up at the last hurdle
When you're right you're right. 5th season in a row they've fcuked it up. Bottlers!!
May 19, 2011 at 6:03 pm #69782KnoxieMemberLooking forward to the final matchday of the season! Hope to see some dramatic turn of events and goals galore!
Also, I can't wait to see who ends victorious in our FPL!
May 22, 2011 at 4:59 pm #69790KnoxieMemberOnly 1 minute to go!
May 22, 2011 at 5:18 pm #69792iiDiNkStErRMemberMan I completely forgot to change my team this morning hopefully I'll still end strongly in the FPL though
Pretty excited for the football today too! Sham most of the games have been quiet so far…
May 22, 2011 at 6:56 pm #69793emdeepeeMemberPositive end to the season for Everton and the Dirty Reds miss out on Europe too
May 22, 2011 at 8:58 pm #69794KnoxieMemberGreat end to the season! Disappointed we couldn't hold a 3-0 lead which would've got us 9th place but nevermind.
No offence to any Brummies out there but I can't wait to see what they're like in Europe next season even though they'll be in the Champo. Same (I think) applies to Blackpool who have supposedly claimed a Europa League spot through fair play.
Also, some good news may be coming the toons way with the signing of an international centre-mid nearly completed whom hasn't been named yet!
May 23, 2011 at 6:57 pm #69803iiDiNkStErRMemberQuite incredible season really! All the ups and downs for every club involved, just proves how awesome it was Shame Fulham couldn't finish in 7th but any team who beats Chelsea with 10 men deserves it more in my eyes
The English participants in the Europa look awful for next year :L Spurs don't seem to care for it whereas Stoke and Brum won't exactly glamourise their opposition! Hopefully Blackpool or West Ham get the fair play spot ahead of us too, just to see them fail so badly! But if we did get it somehow I'd still love another crack at Europe and maybe go one step further this time But starting the season in June isn't ideal…
May 24, 2011 at 7:08 pm #69816Kieeeraaan. LMemberI'm actually looking forward to seeing spurs youngsters in the Europa League. I went to see them train and some of the youngsters were better than some of the other players in our squad. All of them could shoot better than Crouch, who scored 1 of his 10 shots in a shooting drill and recieved sarcastic cheers after it, and Bassong, who managed to hit the stands with most of his shots.
May 31, 2011 at 2:27 pm #69860KnoxieMemberSo what does the winner of the FPL get?

June 7, 2011 at 11:53 pm #69915tommyflopMemberyeah well done you geordie scumbag, lol inspired n'zogbia capt towards end of season. hopefully we'll drum up some more participants next campaign. and maybe a prize. i organize one at work so if everyone trusts me enough you could all send me a couple of quid (for the english among us) and i'll dish it out at the end.
June 8, 2011 at 6:02 pm #69929KnoxieMemberCheers you Rovers' binbag.
Lots of transfer rumours going round of late, eh? Not necessarily all rumours though, as it looks like P.Jones will be going to Man U and Henderson will be going to Liverpool. Also, Newcastle have agreed to sign Cabaye from Lille and are waiting on Taylor, Gervinho and Gameiro. Not a bad start to the transfer window!
