Just to let everyone know, this is my first guide so any criticism will help.
Total Trophies: 51
Bronze: 38
Silver: 10
Gold: 2
Platinum: 1
The following are all main story line trophies. The only way you can miss them is if you don't follow the story line in the order their given or if you talk your way out of it. Some of these you can simply skip. Galaxy News Radio can be skipped with a high enough skip skill. (I think I had around 50 when I did it. Rescue from Paradise can also be skipped if you have the Child at Heart perk. This convinces MacCready to let the player into Little Lamplight. Both of these quests can then be completed as a side quest any time you want by going back to the place where they are given. If you want, you can skip all the quests up to Tranquility Lane by finding and entering Vault 112. (*Note – Their have been reports of glitches happening if this is done.)
Main Story Line:
Vault 101 Citizenship Award (Bronze)
Got the Pip-Boy 3000
-This is done at your 10th birthday party. It can't be missed.
The G.O.A.T. Whisperer (Bronze)
Took the G.O.A.T.
-This usually can't be missed. On my 1st play through of the game, I missed it because I talked to the teacher before the test happened. The test doesn't have any real effect on your game. It just gives you a job your supposed to get. This doesn't matter though, due to the fact that you will escape the vault anyway.
Escape! (Bronze)
Completed “Escape!”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed.
Following in His Footsteps (Bronze)
Completed “Following in His Footsteps”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed unless you skip to Vault 87.
Galaxy News Radio (Bronze)
Completed “Galaxy News Radio”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed unless you skip to Vault 87.
Scientific Pursuits (Bronze)
Completed “Scientific Pursuits”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed unless you skip to Vault 87.
Tranquility Lane (Bronze)
Completed “Tranquility Lane”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
The Waters of Life (Bronze)
Completed “The Waters of Life”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
Picking up the Trail (Bronze)
Completed “Picking up the Trail”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
Rescue from Paradise (Bronze)
Completed “Rescue from Paradise”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
Finding the Garden of Eden (Bronze)
Completed “Finding the Garden of Eden”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
The American Dream (Bronze)
Completed “The American Dream”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
Take it Back! (Silver)
Completed “Take it Back!”
-Main story line trophy. Can't be Missed. Just follow the quests as they are given.
All right, the following are side quest trophies. Meaning, these can easily be missed and are not required to beat the main story line.
Side Quests:
Big Trouble in Big Town (Bronze)
Completed “Big Trouble in Big Town”
-Just go to Big Town and right away someone will talk to you and the quest will be added. All you have to do is head directly north, kill super mutants, and rescue the girl. If you have 100 lockpick, you can use the door downstairs and find her right away. This is the quickest way to finish the quest. If you dont, just go upstairs and start clearing the place out. Theres about 10-15 super mutants in total. For me, only about 5 of them had guns. After you get the key from one of the mutants, unlock the gate that Red is in and escort her back to Big Town. I just used quick travel to save time. If you want to complete the optional objective, then go down to the kitchen and save the other guy. Theres another super mutant down there. Kill him quick and save shorty.
The Superhuman Gambit (Bronze)
Completed “The Superhuman Gambit”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..man_Gambit for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
The Wasteland Survival Guide
Completed “The Wasteland Survival Guide”
-This is probably the longest quest in the game. Theres 3 chapters with 3 sections in each chapter. If you have the right perks, high enough skills, and wait about a day on some objectives, you can lie through about half of them. You can convince her to not write the book, but you wont get the trophy.
Those! (Bronze)
Completed “Those!”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Those! for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
The Nuka-Cola Challenge (Bronze)
Completed “The Nuka-Cola Challenge”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/….._Challenge for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
Head of State (Bronze)
Completed “Head of State”

The Replicated Man (Bronze)

Blood Ties (Bronze)
Completed “Blood Ties”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Ties for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
Oasis (Bronze)
Completed “Oasis”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..is_(quest) for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
The Power of the Atom (Bronze)
Completed “The Power of the Atom”
-This is one of the easiest quests. Just blow up Megaton and have a room at Tenpenny Tower or dont blow the town up and get a house at Megaton.
Tenpenny Tower (Bronze)
Completed “Tenpenny Tower”
-For this one you can either convince the people in the hotel to let the ghouls live with the people, kill the ghouls, or help the ghouls brake in and kill the people. If you choose to convince the people or kill them, you get a nice ghoul mask which will make all ghouls, feral or not, not be hostile towards you.
Strictly Business (Bronze)
Completed “Strictly Business”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..y_Business for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
You Gotta Shoot ‘Em in the Head
Completed “You Gotta Shoot ‘Em in the Head”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..n_the_Head for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
Stealing Independence (Bronze)
Completed “Stealing Independence”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..dependence for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
Trouble on the Homefront (Bronze)
Completed “Trouble on the Homefront”
-Just listen to Vault 101 distress call, go back to the vault and either convince Amata to follow the overseer or convince or kill the overseer. Either way, they won't want you to stay at vault 101.
Agatha’s Song (Bronze)
Completed Agatha’s Song”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..#39;s_Song for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
Reilly’s Rangers (Bronze)
Completed “Reilly’s Rangers”
-Please refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..rs_(quest) for full detailed description on how to finish this quest.
The following are trophies you get for leveling with certain karma. I recommend making a save right before you level at 8, 14, and 20. This way you can work on getting the bad, neutral, and good karma before you level. This is a fast way of getting all 9 trophies with out having to make a new game and level all the way up again.
Reaver (Bronze)
Reached Level 8 with Bad Karma
-Look above for description.
Mercenary (Bronze)
Reached Level 8 with Neutral Karma
-Look above for description.
Protector (Bronze)
Reached Level 8 with Good Karma
-Look above for description.
Harbinger of War (Bronze)
Reached Level 14 with Bad Karma
-Look above for description.
Pinnacle of Survival (Bronze)
Reached Level 14 with Neutral Karma
-Look above for description.
Ambassador of Peace (Bronze)
Reached Level 14 with Good Karma
-Look above for description.
Scourge of Humanity (Silver)
Reached Level 20 with Bad Karma
-Look above for description.
Paradigm of Humanity (Silver)
Reached Level 20 with Neutral Karma
-Look above for description.
Last, Best Hope of Humanity (Silver)
Reached Level 20 with Good Karma
-Look above for description.
The rest of these trophy don't really have I category I can put them in. So I'll just list them and tell you how to beat them.
Weaponsmith (Silver)
Made one of every custom weapon
-You have to make one of each of the folling weapons:
Bottlecap mine
Dart gun
Deathclaw gauntlet
Nuka grenade
Railway rifle
Rock-It launcher
Shishkebab
Refer to http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/…..3_crafting for a complete guide on what you will need to build the weapons and where to find the schematics for each weapon.
Doesn’t Play Well with Others (Bronze)
Killed 300 people
-This is granted for killing 300 people, these can be humans or non-feral ghouls. You can check your progress with your Pip-Boy under Stats, then General. The easiest way to do this is to make a save, then go on a large killing spree. Good places to visit are: Megaton, Tenpenny Tower, Rivet City, Underworld, Republic of Dave, Big Town, Citadel etc. You'll lose a lot of karma, but that is what the save is for since you only have to hit 300 human kills. You can then reload your previous save, and you will still have your achievement/trophy. If your working on the evil karma trophies, this is a good way to get it. You get bad karma and you get a certain amount of experience for each kill.
Slayer of Beasts (Bronze)
Killed 300 creatures
-A creature is basically anything living that isn't human, or isn't an NPC. You really don't have to go out of your way for this one. Simply following the main story line you will get this. You will encounter tons of creature when walking to new places. Just be sure to stock up on ammo and stimpacks when traveling.
Silver-Tongued Devil (Silver)
Won 50 Speech Challenges
-You will get a good start on this just be speech checks through the main quests. Just get your speech to 100 and you'll be set. Just select the option of speech when it comes up when talking to people.
Data Miner (Silver)
Hacked 50 terminals
-Go to places with terminals in them. Rivet City and Megaton are good places to start because almost all shop owners and people rooms have terminals.
Keys are for Cowards (Silver)
Picked 50 locks
-I recommend that you go into big cities like Megaton and Rivet city. Just go door by door seeing if their locked or not. I would also suggest having your lockpick 100 so you don't have to skip any locks. Also, i think after a day or so, the lock reset. So just pick all the locks, go outside the town and wait a day.
One-Man Scouting Party (Silver)
Discovered 100 locations
-I recommend getting to level 20 and getting the Explorer perk. It puts all of the locations on the map. Then just go to each location until you get the trophy. You will discover about 20-30 of them just by doing most of the quests.
Psychotic Prankster (Bronze)
Placed a grenade or mine while pickpocketing
-You can get this very easily in Megaton. Simply have or buy a grenade or mine, pickpocket someone while you are hidden, and place the grenade or mine in their inventory. It is recommended to make a save before doing this if you are in Megaton a lot, because all the residents will become hostile towards you.
The Bigger They Are… (Gold)
Kill all the Super Mutant Behemoths
Yes, I Play with Dolls (Silver)
Collected 10 Vault-Tec Bobbleheads
-Please see, Vault-Tec C.E.O.
Vault-Tec C.E.O. (Gold)
Collected 20 Vault-Tec Bobbleheads
-Complete list of the bobbleheads:
Strength
Perception
Endurance
Charisma
Intelligence
Agility
Luck
Barter
Big Gun
Energy Weapons
Explosives
Lockpick
Medicine
Melee Weapons
Repair
Science
Small Guns
Sneak
Speech
Unarmed

Couple of things to note are The Bobblehead – Strength in Megaton becomes inaccessible if you decide to detonate the bomb. The Bobblehead – Energy Weapons in Raven Rock is only accessible during The American Dream; you cannot return once you leave. The Bobblehead – Medicine in Vault 101 can only be retrieved either at the beginning of the game or during the Trouble on the Homefront quest.
Platinum Trophy (Platinum)
Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy
-Self explanatory. Just get the other trophies.
Note:
A lot of this guide, I have to give credit to The Fallout Wiki. They have tons of information about all the games in the series. If you need help on anything, refer to this site and you will get your solution.
October 15, 2010 at 9:31 pm #67344Doc-BMemberHi, welcome to the site… I'm glad you opened the floor to criticism…
- http://www.allps3trophies.com/forum/retail-games-guides/fallout-3-trophy-guide
- This is pretty much a page of links, almost as bad as posting someone else's guide as your own…
- A guide should have a personal feel to it as it should be written based on your own experience and knowledge of the game, sure use things and give credit where permitted. But the bulk of the writing should be your own work.
- It's a little late and lazy.
I'd give 2/10 (2 for effort)
Hope you don't think i'm being harsh? I image some would be less kind as to what they write, lol
October 15, 2010 at 10:21 pm #67345tommyflopMemberWhat can i say? 2 years late and EVERYONE has platinumed this game, the ones who haven't aren't interested, the new one's out next week, like Doc-B says it's mostly links, the one redeeming feature is the comment you put after the Vault-tec C.E.O trophy (gold) you call them BOOBLEHEADS. QUALITY!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
October 16, 2010 at 3:52 am #67340DeadThugMemberthanks for the feedback. i know the guide is kind of late, but i didnt like the other guide and how it was made so i tried making my own.
i took out some of the links and filled my own words in. ill do the quests descriptions later though.
