New Vegas trophy (achievment) list
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/111/1117065p1.html
looks like a pretty easy plat kinda like Fallout 3, but not looking forward to hardcore mode, I always had so much amo
August 31, 2010 at 9:37 pm #66093I773D33MABL3MemberIt asks a lot more than FO3 did. I like the list though. I'm always in favour of trophies that make me try out different aspects of a game rather than letting me settle into a style that works and using all the way through.
And I'm a little hesitant about HC mode myself. Could be an uncomfortable run-through to finish off the plat.
September 1, 2010 at 12:10 am #66098monkeymoobsMemberI wanted to get the GOTY of F3 but it's still really dear might get it after new vegas now
and hardcore actually sounds pretty cool but it will be a 2nd playthrough cos I want to make this game last like F3
September 1, 2010 at 1:16 am #66101Doc-BMemberI agree it's good to see them swap out the karma based trophies for the weapon ones… I couldn't have had more than ten fist fights in Fallout3, never mind 10,000 worth of damage.

Ya those trophies where bullsh!t
September 1, 2010 at 1:45 pm #66111monkeymoobsMemberI think it'll mix things up a bit I never used any of the melee or hand to hand combat weapons in F3 so the trohies will encourage me to try them never know I might like them
September 2, 2010 at 12:09 am #66122GHOST305MemberDefinately looking forward to this game. Trophy does seem pretty diverse although I hope hard mode isnt like Fallout 3, that would suck. But other than the hardcore trophy, its looks fair easy to platinum. Probably try two playthroughs. One for collecting and all the other trophies and the second playthrough stricly for that hardcore trophy.
September 2, 2010 at 1:36 am #65815Doc-BMemberThis might sound daft but I'm gonna do a 'quick' (lol) game in Hardcore mode just to get the trophy done… Then start a new game on the standard mode for my proper play.
Like Fallout3 the game isn't open ended so if i use my first game to do the story then i can spend my second collecting all the crap under the sun without having to worrying about my weight… Or if i need a glass of water and a wee lie down…
I love collecting crap That's why I'm getting the SE, lol… Has anyone a solid idea of how big the game will be?? As big as Fallout3?

Not sure exactlly how big it is, but it should be around the same size as Fallout 3. I also, might be stealing your idea to do the hardcore trophy first. But, you will also get the trophies for completing mission on the hardcore difficulty setting too.

lol, this is actually a pretty good idea, if u make a decision u dont like then it really doesnt matter cus u can just finish the playthrough and then have a fell for the game and choices for your “real” playthrough
September 2, 2010 at 2:06 am #66128GHOST305MemberMy only worry would be how tough are these enemies exactlly. b/c if it take a bunch of ammo to kill one enemy, this might not be worth the platinum. Oh who am I kidding, Im gonna do it anyway.

An optional Hardcore mode,[11]delivers more realism and intensity into the gaming environment. Gaming difficulty is increased, and encourages players to implement effective strategies, careful considerations in resource management, combat tactics, and high attention to the surrounding environment. The features that increase gaming difficulty are as follows:Healing over time rather than instant healing.[11]Healing of crippled limbs requires a high medicine skill and medical equipment.[11]Ammunition has weight.[11]Currency has weight Requirement of water consumption to avoid dehydration and eventual death.[11]Requirement of food consumption and sleeping to avoid starvation and sleep deprivation.
doesnt seem to bad
im unsure whether to get this as i hated fallout 3 and thought borderlands was 10X betterSeptember 2, 2010 at 2:24 pm #66138GHOST305MemberYeah, it doesn't seem bad after reading that. As long as they dont beef up the enemies I shouldn't have a problem. I'm good a resource management. Basically sounds like you need to carry around ammo, food, water, a few stimpaks and a gun.
September 10, 2010 at 8:28 pm #66350Doc-BMemberI think i read somewhere it does make the enemies slightly tougher, but not to what degree
A new skill has been added to the game; Survival
Used to create consumables, and gives stat. boosts for items used depending on level. I hope you can create water from dust That would be nice for hardcore
And that 'traits' have been brought back from F1, F2 and F:Tactics apparently? Never played them so i wouldn't really know anything about it… Although I've read they are optional and have both positive and negative results in the game.
A confirmed perk – Bachelor… A male version of F3 Black widow female perk
New Vegas is also putting effort into making the item creation part of the Fallout world… Instead of only workbenches, there will be 'a variety of locations' to create stuff. Different skills will let you create different items depending on the location you're in… And apparently there are “tons” of items to create… Sounds cool?!
**Example – You can use your new survival skill to create consumables and poisons depending on your skill level (Yes, poisons)
There is a new enemy called the 'Mutant Big Horner' and the super mutant Nightkin can turn invisable, much fun, LOL…
