Whats your favorite type of music? Mines is Rock. Also whats your favorite singers/bands. My favorite bands are Linkin Park, Nickelback, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, and System of a Down.

I like rock too! fave bands= the Who, Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, fleetwood mac and various other old rock bands (love 60s-80s rock despite age lol)

I personally love metal, everything from Lamb of God to Atreyu. However having said that my favorite band is Muse.

I like absolutely everything lol, and ShadeBlack, I have been known to listen to a bit of ambient too lolz. Some of my favourite bands would be Paramore, Social Distortion, Van Halen and DragonForce, and also Peter Gabriel. I like everything, from metal to pop, rock to trance/dance, but no rap.

Music is like sweets, you have to remove the rappers to enjoy it.

LOL That is so true. I however believe there is something worse than rappers… And that is people who sing into a computer so that their voice is in tune to the music. A good example of this is Enricky In-double-glazing.

my favourite genre is Rock, Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time, i also love Iron Maiden, The Doors, Black Sabbath, System Of A Down, The White Stripes, and more..… I dont like too much of that screaming stuff, but Lamb Of God is an exception (great guitar, crap singing)

oh and the best band is Peter's Denial.. lol

we're not gonna be friends then....actually i get your point , as i dont rate what has now been given the 'hip hop' label. namely bullshit r'n'b and bullshit rappers like 50 who have absolutely nothing to say , no finesse or no 2nd degree. so i've gone back to old school rap and definitely the funk & soul from when i was a kid . pretty much all rap made nowadays is crap, except some underground labels (def jux , stonesthrow…) , thats what industry does to you .

having said that , what are you into POkenny ? i mean , we know you're not into rap and enrique iglesias …

funny how just about all of the people on this site are into some form of rock. having said that , and if you read what i say above , 'hip hop' has turned to pop. so , in actual fact , hip hop is dead. lost its creativity somewhere around the mid 90s with overmediatisation. and , guys , look around you : iron maiden is as dead as eddie , musical creativity died when art turned to industry or , for just about any given artist , sometime after the record deal.

also , define rock. and consider it as a part of a chain that went from rythm'n'blues to soul and funk. it didnt just spawn from nowhere….

I like a lot of 80’s stuff like Tars for Fears and OMD (the electricty song kicks arse), other than that I am a metal head. Having said that, I love classical music becase it helps me relax, and I like random things like Enya and Enigma. I love 1 Drum and Base band, Pendulum… that is becasue they are a band rather than a DJ ruining perfectly good songs. I think the best way to describe my musical taste is, if they are orignal, play their own insterments and sound good then I like it. But if they sound good but sing a load of rubbish then they get nill points. IE the Ting Tings.

Fair enough to the old school rap, at least that was half good, these days all you get is stuff about Hoes and big dicks :/

I'm an alternative fan kind of. My favorite bands would have to be The Fray, Arctic Monkeys, The Fratellis, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, OneRepublic and Vampire Weekend. I guess that's kind of a mix…

But yeah, I'm not a big fan of country or modern rap/hip hop. lol. I can tolerate it, but you won't find any of that music on my iPod! Oh, and I agree with you kingawol about old school rap.
