i just saw them in concert and they are still the best heavy metal band ever. Their comeback album, Brave New World, is the best metal album of the new generation, and A Matter Of Life And Death from 2007, was amazing. Iron Maiden is the Farthest thing from dead.
I think we both agree that 90% of new music SUCKS..its all about getting money, not the music anymore.

, what i meant is they were once (late 80s) over hyped in media (hell, def leppard were on tv then…) , and now have somewhat gone back to the confidentiality of ' connaisseurs ' of a genre. hence my cheap eddie image…lolthe reason i love Iron Maiden is that they do not give a shit how much money they make, but they care about the quality of their music, which every band should do. And that they are Incredible in concert. But Led Zep is absolutely the best in concert no doubt
.oh and old skool rap is decent, the rappers actually had some interesting things to say.

Led Zeppelin is THE MOST TALENTED band of all time. Greatest guitar player, drummer, bassist, and singer. If you disagree, please feel free to say something, so i can prove this

thats the thing , there are rap bands that still do care about quality of music , but now they're even more under ground than 15 years ago. music industry+very bad rap = death of hip hop. honestly if i was a teen today i wouldnt be into hip hop i dont think. unless i discovered what i like , but chances are minimal.
and rappers like KRS one , Onyx , Public Enemy were sooooo huge in concert.
ps. when i was really young there was a maiden song i quite liked called 'run to the hills' i think , must have been like 7 at the time….lol

oh and IMO , the best band ever was Motown's studio band. The Funk Brothers. but then its not REALLY a band.but it did have the Godfather of Bass , james jamerson. feel free to prove me wrong , i'll still disagree. you know what they say about opinions and i have been called an a….. before …
