8 was far too boring, slow paced and the junctioning system did not match up to the materia system. squall is a deperessed retard.

10 and 10-2 shouldn't exist.

11 was nonsense; and

12 was really good, but not as good as 9.

i should try to find ff 9 i havent played that one but ff X was really cool to me and im still in love with ff 12

hated 8 (i got to the end and didn't bother finishing, just didn't feel motivated), only played part of 9, 10 was okay, but too linear, and 12 starts off well, and by the end of the game, all your characters actions are so automated that all you need to do is run the correct way, I can play it with just my left hand, so thats pretty damn boring. Of all of them, 7 has the most complicated and intriguing story line, with more compelling moments than any game I've ever played. Even playing it now I love everything about it, but the story is what really gets me. That said, I agree with gow2rules, that dirge of cerberus sucked. Considering what a cool character Vincent was, that game could have been waaaaaaay better… or just shouldn't have been done at all.

and speaking of vincent, anyone playing ff7 now and using him as a main guy? I tried to this time, hes got great phsyical and magic attack balance, but his limit breaks, while cool looking, always ruin it for me. A prime example is early in the game you fight a boss, Materia Keeper, when leaving the nebelheim mountains. Vincents level 1 Limit break heals this boss, because of a fire based attack… which sucks. So I'm done with him…

um.. i rather enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics on PSP…. is that a bad thing?

I never really got into any Final Fantasy games… im more of a MGS man.

But i really liked Final Fantasy Tactics.

OK, im on the last disc of FF7 again now, and im loving it as much as the other times ive played it over the years.

FF8 was good i thought, even though Squall is a bit of a douche, 9 is good but far too easy from what i remember. 10 was OK, but not great, 10-2 should never have been made. I played FF11 online for about 2 years, which unfortunately il never get back lol, i prob should have sold my character but i retired him instead – R.I.P Aelwyn the dark knight hehe

FF12 is a great game, and i cant wait for FF13, but tbh none since FF7 have matched up, the story and characters in that game are fantastic, even if the English translation is a little iffy. Oh yeah i also have tactics on psp, and thats a good game also.
