Overview
+ Estimated trophy difficulty: 2.5/10
+ Offline: 14
+ Online: 0
+ Approximate time: 3-6 hours
+ Minimum number of play throughs needed: 1
+ Missable trophies: Each stage is short, and re-doable, so no big deal.
+ Glitched trophies: Yes, see install info, next paragraph in this post
+ Cheats: No cheatsInstall infomation
1. (I do not know how to make this glitch happen, sorry.) For some installs, when you complete the credits, you may get Beauty, Vegetarian, Peace and Giant trophies instead of Gaia and Gratitude. Some of those four are hard to get, so you are lucky if it works. You will then need to DELETE the game, re-download it and re-install it. Your save file will load fine, and you can now get Gaia and Gratitude.
2. If you buy the game and run it, it will patch. It will then NOT allow you to install the expansion (it is an 'older version'). To install the 'bundle', you need to install the game first (do not run the game yet), then install the expansion. Now run it, it will patch, and you can run the whole thing properly.About the game
flOw is one of the most unique games on the PS3. If you’ve played Flower, you know what to expect. This is arguably the most relaxing and calming games you will ever play on your PS3. The concept is that you’re going through a body of water as some fish-like organism, calmly trying to survive down to the deepest part of the sea. As you eat each food and other creatures you grow in size. You start out as one organism, and as you get to the end of each level, you will have one more organism's to choose from. How to play the game
You will see a circle with a red minus (-) sign on it ~ this is what takes you DOWN to a deeper layer of the sea {the (+) will take you back up a layer}. What you will find are:
a) Free-floating food (these are the white colored cell-like things all over the place, some have more strings than others) – eat these to increase your spine length.
b) Other organisms – eat the colored spine portion of their body to kill them, which will release food and gems. Advanced organisms are likely the ones that attack you without being provoked. The non-advanced organism's are passive.
c) Gems – eat these to decorate the empty circles in your spine (add empty circles by by eating food).
d) (+) (-) on each layer of the sea, which take you up or down layers.
You use only the SIXAXIS motion sensor to control which direction you go, and ANY button will give you a burst of speed, and lastly the start button will take you to a temporary safe spot for a breather (thou your organism may still bump into the (+) or (-) symbols putting you back in 'danger'). You’ll need at least one play through (it is actually possible), but you can always go back to each of the organism levels (even the credits)The unique organisms list (names are made up)
Original – This is the organism you start with. Hitting any key will make it swim faster.
Hellraiser (face w/ hooks) – Hitting any key will make you spin into a whirlpool, pulling nearby objects towards you.
The Dolphin – Hitting a button will make you shoot forward, and the more food/gems you eat, the more you can do so in succession. Each use will also deplete one of your 'tails'.
Capt. Yellow Hook – Unique ability is you can hit any key to turn yellow for a few seconds. While in this mode, if you touch any other organism, you will paralyze it, and you can then easily munch on it to kill it. Also, while yellow, you will not eat anything other than paralyzed enemies. In addition, hitting any button while white will scare away anything directly in front of you. Lastly, if you hold down any button, you will move slowly and also turn invisible to opponents ~ thus you can flOw in their direction and surprise attack them!
Red Phoenix – Hitting any button will have you shoot directly at an organism to eat it. If there is no advanced creature in sight, you will just turn red.
Bubble Boy (requires expansion pack) – Hitting any button will have you pull in a protective bubble and make you feel all safe and protected from the scary world. Also can bu used to bounce objects away from you.
Credits Snake – This is the organism that does the credits stage. You can at any time redo credits by going to this organism.Road Map
Phase one: (about ten minutes if you run through it)
You will start with your first organism, tilt your SIXAXIS in different directions and you will quickly get the hang of the movement. Now swim into the (-) sign. You just got the Adventure trophy and most of the others come just as easily. In this first portion, don't worry so much about how much food or creatures or whatever you eat, just look for the (-) symbols and make it to the bottom, where you will find an egg in the center. That takes you back to the starting screen, with a new organism unlocked. Most of the other organisms are somewhat similiar, and you need to get to the bottom layer and get into the egg.Phase two: (35 minutes)
Once you finish all the creatures, you will unlock the last creature ~ which actually takes you to the credits. Eat each food pellet within each credit name, and once that layer is done, move to the next by eating the next (-). At any point put down the controller for thirty minutes and don't touch it for Zen. When you finish this level, if you ate all the pellets, it will also give you: Gaia and Gratitude.
NOTE: If you had the game and expansion installed in advance, like me, then ran it (forcing the patch to install), you may instead get these trophies: Beauty, Vegetarian, Peace and Giant. (I do not know how to force this to happen, sorry.) Also, you will NOT be able to use the expansion organism, nor obtain the DLC trophies, such as Memory. You will need to DELETE your game, re-download and install if you want to get Gaia and Gratitude and the DLC trophiy (memory).Phase three:
Wrap up any trophies you didn't get yet.The trophy list
Adventure (Bronze)
Start the first campaign after installing
This will unlock as soon as you begin the game.Friendship (Bronze)
Complete any campaign with 4 players
You can this with one controller. Using any creature, swim to the deepest part of the sea (with the egg in the middle). Now hold down the PS button and re-assign the controller to another port (port 2), then tilt the SIXAXIS, and you will see the new player appear. Repeat for port 3 and port 4. When all four 'players' are present, eat the egg to finish the stage and unlock the trophy. Good teamwork!Giant (Bronze)
Complete any campaign with a creature of 25 segments or longer
For some older installs, this will come easy when you complete the credits.
The easiest way to do this is using the red phoenix creature. Kill everything on each layer, then go to the next using (-). When you get to the deepest layer, with the egg in the center, eat all creatures and food surrounding it. Unlike most other trophies that you are awarded upon arriving to the deepest level, this one require you to eat the egg.Fashion (Bronze)
Decorate your creature with more than 10 alternating segments
(credit to p3-eR-nuLL and shamrock54)
First of all, the alternating segments are the segments that um alternate, hehe. Meaning, for the red guy, it is the WINGS that alternate out of the side.
While we aren't sure exactly what food grows your segments, and what grows wings, etc, here is how to do this: Use the guy that turns red when you click a button. Go down most of the levels, killing each advanced creature you find. Then when you get to the egg, swim back up eating everything, and you will earn your ten red wings (and the trophy).
(credit to p3-eR-nuLL and shamrock54)Vegetarian (Bronze)
Eat all foods in a campaign without killing any advanced creature
For some older installs, this will come easy when you complete the credits.
Easiest with the yellow guy. In addition to the tips below, you can hit any button to temp hide while yellow whenever an advanced creature attacks.
a) When you get to the layer where they enjoy eating the (-), relax.
What you need to do is stay in the area, and as they go running around eating them the (-) will re-spawn. Soon enough one (-) will spawn right next to you, jump in it quickly!
b) The advanced creatures like to also eat and guard the (-). The trick here is to go down to this layer when you are just above the (-) beneath you. You will also have a moment to maneuver while going to the lower layer of the sea, and you need to use that to ensure you do not eat or get eaten, but go directly to the (-).
c) There are some levels with “sleeper” creatures. These guys just float around, doing nothing at first glance ~ but they actually create food every few seconds. You will need to chill on any layer with these guys eating all the things they pop out until their supply of food is depleted. If you move on before they are done, you will not get the trophy. Just be patient on these layers, as tempting as it is to kill them!Cannibalism (Bronze)
Eat all advanced creatures in a campaign without eating any food
This is without a doubt the hardest trophy of this game.
This is tricky, as there is food everywhere. Do it with the yellow guy. Pressing a button will scare away everything, from creatures to food to (+) and (-). If you are holding any button to stay yellow and you hit food with the hook, it will infect the food and turn it yellow. If the other creature eats the food while it is infected, it will get paralyzed for you to kill. If you use your two yellow hooks to infect food, you will no longer be yellow and WILL eat food by mistake, so be careful even with this guy. You CAN eat red gems (the ones with red in the center and three strings coming out of it), and doing so will now only allow you to paralyze with 4 or 6 hooks (instead of 2), and you will also withstand more hits without being sent up a layer. You CAN take hits, the most important thing is just not to eat food. One good strategy is to hit any button (I like R1) and then while in yellow creep up on a guy, paralyze it, and then eat it's highlighted segments. Also, try to eat the head first, and finish with it's tail, as you have less chance of eating food by mistake. As soon as you finish creatures, hit any key to turn yellow fast and avoid eating the food it drops. What you also need to do is see what is on the layer beneath you while swimming into the (-) (or if you get eaten, turn blue and pop up a level). You will have a moment to maneuver while going to another layer of the sea, and you can also to hit a button to turn yellow during transit, ensuring you do not hit some food. I got the trophy shortly after arriving on the egg layer (likely it took a moment after I finished all the red creatures on layer 15). This trophy will pop on layer 16, the one with the egg ~ you do not need to kill all the guys around the egg, I had just started eating them when the trophy popped.
(Credit to Vakido for suggesting the yellow guy doesn't eat food while a button is pressed.)
(Credit to Triple-X for finding you can eat red gems and still get the trophy.)Gratitude (Bronze)
Consume all credit foods
The last creature you unlock actually takes you to the credits. Eat each food pellet by each credit name, and once that layer is done, move to the next by eating the next (-). After you eat all the pellets, then the egg, you will get both Gaia and Gratitude trophies.Devious (Bronze)
Paralyze the same creature 5 times without killing it
Using Capt. Yellow Hook, hold down any key and touch a creature to paralyze it, then move away. Do NOT eat it ~ let it recover and repeat four more times.Memory (Bronze)
Take more than 10 screenshots
(You need to purchase the Expansion OR Bundle to get this)
There are randomly, throughout each stage, special symbols that look like SOS (see trophy image). After eating this symbol, a yellow light will trail down your spine, moving all the way to the end of your creature, then it will look like your system crashed, but it is just taking a picture (you can find the picture in the photo section on your XMB). Get ten of these (can be multiple stages), and the trophy is yours.
(credit to Deadaim357 and kaipa)Beauty (Silver)
Complete any campaign without being hurt
Don't get damaged, this is especially easy with the red guy. On each layer, try jumping into (-) after (-), ignoring the creatures as much as possible. You can also see where you will end up on the lower layer, so use that to your advantage!Peace (Silver)
Complete any campaign without eating anything
For some older installs, this will come easy when you complete the credits.
Kind of tricky, what you need to do is see what is on the layer beneath you while swimming into the (-). You will have a moment to maneuver while going to the lower layer of the sea, and you need to use that to ensure you do not hit some food. This is especially true when you arrive at the final layer, as the egg is surrounded by food. If you find yourself outside the center of the egg, take the (+) back up, then swim into (-) when it is near the center.Swift (Silver)
Complete any campaign within 120 seconds
Swim quickly through a level, grabbing all the (-), then the egg at the end.
This is pretty easy to get, I did it with the original organism.Gaia (Bronze) [hidden]
Eat every level complete egg
See “Gratitude”.Zen (Gold) [hidden]
Leave game on idle in the end of credits for 30 minutes
The last creature you unlock actually takes you to the credits. At any point in the credits put down the controller for thirty minutes and don't touch it for Zen. I strongly suggest you hit the PS button so your XMB is up, this way just in case you hit a button by mistake, the game won't know. Yes, I tested it and got the trophy, in fact the trophy will pop while you are still in XMB so you can check the flOw trophy rate every few minutes if you like.October 14, 2009 at 6:11 pm #46183kingofgames73Membergood guide but im assuming your the original owner of http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/flow/25677-trophy-list-road-map.html and if you are, well nice guide! anyone know when the trophy patch is coming to the uk?

October 14, 2009 at 8:18 pm #46206monkeymoobsMembershadeblack isn't happy you made it before he did
October 14, 2009 at 8:20 pm #46208shadeblackParticipantlol – although i found that funny, the truth of the matter is someone else has already made a flow guide – i don't have enough time to make guides anymore due to my new job, and it's clearly stated in the rules that plagerism is not allowed.
October 14, 2009 at 8:24 pm #46210monkeymoobsMemberi know i should put lol at the end was intended as a joke naughty tigerlust for copying that btw whats ur job now
October 14, 2009 at 8:27 pm #46212shadeblackParticipantI.T Technician, but it's not really the right thread to talk about that.
doesn't really matter though since this will be deleted anywayz.
October 15, 2009 at 8:24 am #46295TigerLustMemberPlagiarism?!? Why? Because I posted my guide to both sites, so therefore I am plagiarising my own guide? Good thing shady got transferred to IT…
October 16, 2009 at 7:47 pm #46500shadeblackParticipanthow do we know it's your guide though.
the rules are very clear.
I'll gladly welcome you here to the forums, but you can't do this.
October 17, 2009 at 6:19 am #46585TigerLustMemberCan you link to the rules? Also since you mention you want to welcome me to the forums, kindly copy the portion of that post that specifis how one proves it is his own guide. Because it IS mine. And frankly, the fact that you are so avidly trying to stop the users of this site from seeing it is baffling.
October 17, 2009 at 8:18 am #46588kingofgames73Memberit may be your guide but anyone can could have created an account with TigerLust as an id, copy and paste the guide, andd say it is theirs, perhaps you could proof it with your psn id? after all the guy on the other website displays his trophy card…but i think another thing is that you r not allowed to copy another trophy guide off another website despite owning it or not, yet im not all too sure…anyways heres the link to rules

Well, I am not sure how to prove that it is my PSN ID, as anyone could technically link up my trophy card or mention my PSN ID (which is my username). So I thought about how to lay all doubt to rest. I have posted something to the bottom of the guide on the other site (it is at the very bottom of post #2) saying explicitely that I am posting the guide to this site. Glad we are finally done with that mess.
Thanks for the initial post to this thread with your kind words about the guide. The other site allows posts to be edited, but I guess the one on this end can't be updated with the new info we find.
Anyhow to your original Q: It usually take around two weeks to a month for the EU division to catch up with NA patches and publishes, but no definitive date yet. (It also takes the same time fram from EU to NA, as evident with Trine and SingStar.) Here is the developer's statement:
