Game of the Year : MY final decision .

Getting to the end of games ill be racking in for this Holiday season , i must say its been one hell of a ride . Starting off with Uncharted 2 and possibly ending with Assassins Creed II , i cant believe all of the fun ive had this year . Just to share my own feelings about what i think should win this prestigious award and what some of the following games are ; im curious to see what you guys think aswell . Lets just start off with the games themselves and then ill write a small explanation for the final decision and runner up .

MY GAME OF THE YEAR : (budabudabudabudabuda) <-- Drum roll fail ?

Assassins Creed 2 .

RUNNER UPS : ( In order )

BorderLands

Modern Warfare 2

Uncharted 2 : Among thieves

Yes , maybe my final decision was a bit shocking , but only necessary . I cant explain the feelings i had when i started up Assassins Creed II . Maybe a bit slow in the beginning , but it would only be a matter of time till i would be blown away . The game has much to offer , great in depth plot , awesome character design , AMAZING job on recreating some cities themselves , and not to mention the gameplay in general . I cant keep off it , and although it may be strange it was able to pass Modern Warfare 2 , i think this game should win it all . Ofcourse i cant and dont want to go to far in plot , but you can tell they ve gone pretty far into research to make this game top – notch . Im sure many of you can agree with me aswell .

BorderLands was my runner up for many reasons , and even though it passed Modern Warfare 2 by maybe a tick on the meter , it made my first RPG experience an unforgettable one . Face it , the game has humour , infinite possibilities , and sweet coop action . Though there may be some bugs (online mic issues , random lag and falling out of maps) this too gave me hours and hours of non stop play and personally cant wait for upcoming DLC and possibly a sequel in the making . I hope you guys can have some common sense instead of bashing my oppinions , but we ll just see about that 😉

You should be commended for not going for the obvious choice.

I think people had high expectations for U2 and MW2 and although both these games met these expectations its always nice to be taken by surprise which is what AC2 seems to have done.

The only problem now is that I'm going into AC2 with high expectations too. D'oh!!!

Well I playd only U2 and new R&C so it will be hard for me to do any Game of the Year ranking.

For me it's U2 – bigger and better then the first part.

Special prize goes to: LOCO ROCO 2 – I know it was released in 2007 but I still play it. SAme as my wife and kid so there is smth in this game 😀

OMG WHY DIDN'T YOU CHOOSE MW2 NICK! I HATE YOU NOW.

I kid. Brilliant choices there, I should have Borderlands at Christmas. And AC2. Then I will make a verdict. I love MW2 but it's just online that has blown me away. COD nerds like a friend of mine have been telling me the story is better then U2 (WTF seriously.) and it is at least 10 times the game. U2 had a brilliant story but was slightly let down by the online; it didn't get me hooked. And MW2 has done the same but vice versa. Online is amazing, story is meh. Out of those two though, MW2 comes out on top. Why? Well, it just has the same magic that COD4 had when I first played it. It gave me a tingly feeling when I put it in the disc slot. I smile still when I get a good kill, and the social side of it is endless. I could talk about COD all day and not get bored. Playing with friends and shooting up froggies online just can't be beat. The only thing that let me down; no co-op story mode and (dun dun daaaaa) Spec ops. I hate Spec Ops I'm sorry. It's just a waste IMO. Crappy little missions with only 2 player co-op. And are mostly beaten easily with a good partner. Sorry IW, try again.

wow great list for november 2009 , im guessing games like Killzone 2 ,Infamous and Resident evil 5 never came to mind.

Nope . Killzone did nothing for me , while inFamous and Resident Evil 5 were fun , i just think of them as any other games , they surely werent breathtaking .

My GotY is definitely Uncharted 2. Brilliant game.

Runner Ups In Order:

1. Assassins Creed 2

2. InFamous

3. MW2

And some others as well..

but Uncharted 2 is the definite GotY choice for me.

My GOtY would have to be Uncharted 2 because of the breathtaking graphics and overall great storyline and game play.

Runner Ups (in order):

1. AC2

2. Killzone 2

what exactly did Dizzel do? He said that he doesnt understand how you can like Borderlands, and then he clearly says: Well, everyone has there opinions..

so why the need to insult him? He didn't really say anything, just giving his opinion..

Parnakas – Your deal is ? Thats twice you ve pratically bashed my oppinion on noobs and pratically saying i suck ( MW2 ) and now this . Maybe i took his post differently then you did simple as that .

ok.. my deal is that i don't get why you attacked him.. not saying your opinion is bad, im just curious to know what he did, because i didn't see anything wrong with his post.. sorry if im pissing you off.. but idk.. just didn't make any sense to me.

Im not even going to respond . Usually i dont like to have these sort of private converstations on here ( ahem Ratchet and Cory ) but its only necessary . Id rather just leave it at that then risk our friendship . I also hate going off topic which is what we ve both done now .
