Everyone should really know about this…
For everyone doing the Gamesharing, the Terms of Service for Sony have changed. You can only have your account active on 3 PS3's at a time now instead of 5.
For everyone who has it active on more than 3 already, don't worry….you just can't activate your account on any new PS3's until you deactivate enough systems to get it below 3.
Well, this had to happen sooner or later. We all knew that some people were abusing the game sharing policy. Hopefully this change will make some people smarten up before Sony goes the way of Xbox and Nintendo and pulls the plug on game sharing all together.
BTW, heres the link so you can read it yourself

HAHAHAHA! Douchebags
November 25, 2009 at 2:20 am #50941I773D33MABL3MemberWhile I would agree with Sony trying to clamp down on gamesharing, further limiting accounts is a bit unfair on those of us with multiple consoles. I have three at the moment which means if one of those burns out beyond repair or gets corrupted somehow, I then can’t put my account onto a new one without getting Sony to reset the whole thing.
November 25, 2009 at 2:51 am #50945tridonMemberThis kinda sucks. I was gamesharing with my friend, my brother and my sister. Plus I was going to get another PS3 for my bedroom. It should still be 5. It's not like five is a lot. Not to mention that I paid for these games, so why can't I share them? It's the same as me lending my retail games out. Stupid.

November 25, 2009 at 3:11 am #50950The GeneralMemberI saw this earlier today, so I went searching through the TOS and didn't find anything. On some sites it says the UK playstation site, could it be UK only? Not Canada/US?
November 25, 2009 at 3:25 am #50953Ratchet525Memberyeah i think its only for UK cause i didnt find anything too.

When you lend one of your retail games out there’s still only one copy of the game, on the other hand if you download a PSN title onto several consoles then Sony would view that as making multiple copies. Not that I’m disagreeing with you entirely, I like to be able to play my games at my brother’s house without having to go to the hassle of bringing over one of my own PS3s.November 25, 2009 at 3:30 am #50955The GeneralMemberHopefully its only UK lol. I use a backup account for some sharing & would hate to have to figure a way to fix everything if anything happened to my 60GB fatboy lol…

Its not the same as lending a retail game out. When you lend a retail game out, you cannot play it. Technically, getting rid of game sharing completely will then put it MORE on par with a retail disc. You'd have to lend your profile out to someone while they play the game, and wait for them to give it back to you so you can play it again.
@I773D33MABL3 – Why even own so many ps3's? Even if you have all your games downloaded to each one, you'd still have to get a jumpdrive to carry around your save game data. In order to move from the living room to your bedroom you'd have to:
-Quit the game, put in jump drive, copy save data, sync trophies, turn off system, go to room, turn on system, insert jump drive, copy save data, sync trophies, then continue playing.
If I wanted to play my PS3 in multiple rooms, I'd just buy extra HDMI cables and power cords. You'd just have to leave the cables hooked to the TV's and quickly just carry the PS3 from one room to another. All you'd have to do then is:
-Turn off system, disconnect cords, carry ps3 to room, connect cords, turn on, play game
Way faster and cheaper. PLUS – Some games have copy protected saves so you may have no other choice to carry your system around anyways. RE5 was one off the top of my head.
November 25, 2009 at 12:52 pm #50971I773D33MABL3MemberI don't find it much hassle to just throw my save games on to a usb stick. And I tend not to be playing in one room and then suddenly decide I want to play in another. Plus, if my housemate is watching a movie, listening to music or playing a game then he mightn't be too impressed with me unplugging the console and marching off with it.
November 25, 2009 at 2:42 pm #50980Antony19MemberI dont do gamesharing beacause i dont by so much from Playstation store. The only thing that i buy from playstation Store is add-ons for Fallout 3 and COD
November 25, 2009 at 5:28 pm #50986BigWoopMagazineMemberI think you guys might find this very interesting:
