MemberMP works on some games and not others. I think any game can be made MP as long as it is programmed well and servers are well managed . It all boils down to the developers and the company that hosts the games for them. I wouldn't rule out an MP experience on any game until i have experienced it for myself, just my opinion.

MemberThe multiplayer on army of two the 40th day is awesome but not so good. The SP was much better. And also there are some games hat put MP on the top instead of the SP ( MW2, Section 8)
And there are some games that they are only stick the multiplayer like MAG.
And also i have to agree with Bigwoodmagazine RTS games only worth on PC.
I have Red alert 3 on the PC and is awesome. But i recenlty download the demo of red alert 3 on PS3 and i didnt like it at all. A big mistake Halo wars imagine that you are playing the game on PC. Strategy games shouls stick to the PC just like command and conquer 4 did

MemberYea… Keymapping is kinda a pain in the ass, but the nice thing is that every pc game comes with almost all the keys mapped you will ever need. Its more or less learning them. It really really helps though when you have that many keys for an RTS game. It really really helps when you can map a complicated manuever to one button for FPS. In Quake (1994?) I mapped a key that would switch to a rocket, aim straight down, jump, fire, and switch back to my original weapon, all in that order (I sorta metioned this earlier, just an easy example). Basically, I designed a rocket jump button. Kick ass! If you're really really into a game, its worth it. But yea money… thats killer. I need a new PC for StarCraft 2. I can't afford it, but I really want it, I've been waiting 10 years!

MemberCan you achieve full HD on a PC screen? I'm a PC No0b… One thing i love about controller over keyboard is the fact that i can be in almost any position and still have pretty much full control of what I'm doing… Wouldn't you need a solid base to use a keyboard, i mean you can't use a key board upside down (just an example)
Antony19 raises an interesting point kinda, what of more PC orientated MP games coming to the PS3… Do they work? I bought Civ. Rev. when it came out along with a friend, and quite frakly is sucked balls… Glitchy, jerky game-play with an online experience that made you weep, sealing my decision to leave the likes of alone. It seems that the games that are making the move to Ps3 are the sh!t ones… Prob something to do with the diff. computing power?
Half life is a strong game, yet it's almost forgotten… It's a crime it wasn't patched for trophies!! A 5-in-1 deal, superb… Team fortress was fun if a little basic on the looks… I don't think I've played anything like portal in any other game?
More from the PC in the form of battlefield 2142 and crysis… I'm not a RTS player but it sounds like thing's like C&C etc. should stick to the PC…
It's money and greed that all throughout, time have turned everything good into a steaming pile of money spinning crap… I yern for earlier times…
I still love my N64 and Snes, they rock out with there… Well, you know. And they have no online MP at all, the days when you needed real friends…

Memberlol yeah good point on the offline multiplayer “days when you needed real friends…” N64 Goldeneye is probably the most fun i have had in MP , ever! And yes Command and conquer is not suitable for consoles with controllers rather than keyboards, just my opinion, it for me becomes more irritating than anything else, We are able to use a USB mouse and keyboard with the PS3 so why not use it for games too! it would probably make it easier and more appealing to play RTS games.
Yes you can get a full HD resolution on a pc with the right TV(1920×1080) whether the PC can handle it and make the most of it is another story

MemberThe PC can probably support the HD Visuals of a console.. IF you are willing to spend a mass amount of money on a screen. Imo, PC gaming is not worth it.. Waayy to expensive for my liking.

Memberyeah i agree it is definitely not worth it. Now microsoft are introducing the pay to play online feature to PC games which has really pi$$ed of my housemate
He has a silver membership live account to play a windows live game Warhammer something… but MP access has been deactivated unless he purchases a gold membership account lol Microsoft are ruining the concept of gaming, but it is kind of funny to watch him fret over it!!!

It definitely can and you don't need to spend any extra money on a screen – most tv's come with a special port for hooking your pc into. I'm sure you want an alternate screen for using the computer while watching tv, but you could definitely get some epic gaming in on a big screen with a pc if you really wanted.
@Antony – agreed. Thats why the only Blizzard game that I've never played or owned is World of Warcraft. So far.

MemberSo what does everyone think about the Bioshock 2 MP player then? Do you think the game benefited from having two diff. teams work on the diff. parts of the game? Should this become a more permanent fixture of future games?
I've yet to try the AvP MP demo yet as i can never seem to get a game quick enough for me not to switch it off and play something else…
Do the M.A.G servers work? How is the game with lag, does it run smooth with a full game… Will there now be more “war-sims” that come on PS3 or is this the window to some MMORPG coming in 2011/2012?? Like Oblivion Online, or something to rival W.O.W? Not likely…
I still await more news of the DS2 MP, although a Left-4-Dead affair could work… As long as the trophies are kept sensible… And I've been reading in the Uncharted thread that a new DLC with some lovely grindfestish trophies… So all praise to them for having good MP trophies are lifted, and boo to them for feeling they need to drag this game out for a few extra pounds. I wonder now if the only reason i liked the Uncharted2 MP because i didn't have to play it to much
