MemberI recently bought the God of War Collection and I'm stuck on the beginning of the game. The link to the video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhVfJfxqm2o&feature=player_embedded
and I need help on where 3:30 starts when you have to beat the dragon (I think it's a dragon). I am pressing the Circle button, but nothing works! I read the comments, and it said you have to do it very fast and I'm trying to do it (On easy) and I still can not do it!
DO you have any tips for me on how to do this? Thanks to all who help!

Memberoh the hydra, well how are you stuck. I remember from play GoW1 on ps2 there was nothing wrong.

Thank you for the reply. As to where I am stuck, the “boss” of the 3 dragons is where I am stuck. When I hit him and when he's down it says to keep pressing the Circle Button. So I do, but nothing happens. I saw the Youtube comments on the video and it said keep pressing the button fast. So I'm playing it on easy and I still can't do it. I am asking for tips and help on how to do this. I know what I have to do, but doing it is what I need help on.

Memberhm.. Can you do it any faster? Or are you doing it as fast as possible? Trying to think here..

Hey man i remember this aswell , are you in sync with the button mash ? Alot of games require you to actually press the button when it tells you too instead of randomly mashing if you get what i mean .

You have to kill tthe two heads on the bottom first, then move the larger one atr the crows nest of the ship. As for the button sequences, the only part that i know of where you have to repeatedly pressed the circle button is when you have the hydra by the eyes and you are slamming him against the pole at the top of the ship…is this where you are stuck?
November 29, 2009 at 11:58 pm #51355MemberGreat news (for me..lol)! I beat that part of the game. It took me 2 hrs and I finally did it! I learned that it's not how fast you do it, it's how consistent you do it. You can press the O button 13 times per second, but you have to keep doing it consistantly. You have to do it in a steady pace and it's very easy. Unfortunately I'm having trouble on yet another part in the game.
The link to my problem is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE059hCwczo&feature=related and it starts on 2:28. I know what I have to do, but it seems as though the controls have changed or something. I have to:
Hold down L2 to aim Medusa's gaze while the SQUARE button to fire.
So I'm doing this, but nothing happens! All that's happening is that I have lightning powers and I'm striking the opponent with lightning.
Does anyone have a better explanation of what to do? Thank you!
November 30, 2009 at 12:02 am #51357MemberIf your striking the opponent with lightning everytime you use the square button…your using the wrong power…your using zeus' power you need to switch the using the D-pad to the symbol of a head. Then hold L2 and hold down square in order to freeze your opponents.

How do I switch the D-pad?
EDIT: Better yet, what the heck is a D-pad? lol, sorry

Oh ok. Thank you! Do you remember what direction of the pad it was for this part of the game?
