thanks guys. message me if yall need any help. i know w4r sure did on this lol.
btw knightmare.. yeah about 2 hours. about 1&1/2 for gow2 but it's a lot easier really lol
Also very important!!
i messed up on the guide. you have to get all the orbs in 1 run through. there is no bonus play on gow1. so save b4 the final battle with ares in a new save slot so you have 2 copies of the same save. after you beat the game load up the 2nd save so that you're back at the final battle with ares and do the ares glitch mentioned in the guide. thanks w4r for finding this error for me
also admin i would like to replace this guide if your available to switch them anytime

December 30, 2009 at 5:56 pm #54156W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberFor any of you guys hesitating about this ” Speed of Jason McDonald ” Trophy , dont . You may think its a joke , but its more of a joke on your end once you beat it . I never played the God of Wars before and with a little help with Cory and Gr8jfan i was able to finish the game with a total of 2 hours and 45 min . I would say the best thing to do would be to tackle the Challenge of the Gods first ( You have to do it either way ) and then unlock your Dairy Bastard costume , which enables infinite magic . Fully upgrade your Poseidons rage and your pretty much set , spam the rage when needed to get pass locked areas, and ditch the enemies when a battle isnt necessary. Note that reload checkpoint helps ALOT , so when having trouble on the spiked columns or you get lost , just reload checkpoint and take your time finding the exit , reloading checkpoint will take you back to the original time from the previous checkpoint . Hope this helps .

Hey, Cory.
I tried to do what you say here, but it won't work for me. I made an extra save before the Ares fight, but when I go back to that save after completing the game, I have the same amount of orbs that I had before as well as the same upgrades. Any suggestions?
December 31, 2009 at 5:08 pm #54222Domba_carMemberI finaly got my plat! My first plat, it took me 1 year and 6 days to get a plat. My last trophy was Speed of Jason McDonald, I did it in about 4 hours but I had to do Seeing Red too.
You have to fight Ares untill his life bar is almost gone, then a O will appear over him, you have to press O and keep pressing O and then the next button (triangle I think) then you will climb on him and another button will apper, You DON'T press it. He will throw you away and you will get some Red Orbs, then hit him again and O will appear again, press it and the next button,…
Hope I helped Tridon.
December 31, 2009 at 6:44 pm #54244CoryAllenMemberthanks domba for explaining that and congrats man! on to the gow2 plat
about what w4r says: it is a joke if you are getting all the trophies in 2 playthroughs. but if you are doing everything at once you have to rush. but like w4r said if you do a 2nd playthrough just avoid stuff and if you have to reload checkpoints. and i hope none of yall panic like w4r did trying to get this plat lol
and thanks admin i'll post the parts to edit in

Thanks, Domba. So, basically, when I get to the end of the first part of the final battle with Ares, and the button combo pops on to screen, push the first button they say to push, but not the second. Is that correct? I'll have to give that a shot later. I doubt I'll do the Speed of Jason McDonald trophy, though. The puzzles in the first game frusterate the life out of me. I don't think I can play through those again with losing my marbles. LOL.
I love the second game, though. Just have to finish the challenges in that game (or at least attempt to), and I'll be 100% complete. BTW, congrats on your platinum!
January 4, 2010 at 10:53 pm #54556BigWoopMagazineMemberAnother way to get “seeing red” – this is easy, but time consuming, and kinda boring. I like this method because its in the very beginning of the game, so you can play the entire game with huge upgrades, making progress in the harder modes much, much easier. Too bad theres no trophies for completing harder modes. Anyways:
Do not upgrade anything until you do this. If you upgrade something, it should be one level of Poseiden's Rage, to increase range. The third level is too powerful and will kill the enemies too quickly. After completing the first level you will be in the city of Athens. Progress until the room where you acquire the freeze gaze. Instead of freezing and killing the minotaurs, switch to poseiden's rage. Your magic bar constantly regenerates in this room. All you need to do is activate Poseiden's Rage near enemies to build your combo meter, roll twice, and fire it again, roll twice, fire again, etc, until the combo bar is at 1000 (you can roll up to 3 times before the combo will end, rolling helps give time for magic to regenerate). This should earn you ~7 or 8 full experience bars, since each increment of combo earns extra exp. If you earn enough exp to fully upgrade your blades before leaving this room, the game will be a total breeze, and you should have no problem upgrading the rest of your stuff. Its a time consuming pain in the butt, whos only advantage is that its in the beginning instead of the end. Just throwing it out there for more choices. Don't do this for Jason's run, clearly.
January 4, 2010 at 11:06 pm #54560CoryAllenMemberi didn't mention that one because it's terribly boring lol. but that would be great for you people new to the game. helps to master the controls when you start with beefed up weapons lol

Geesh. This is boring like hell.I tried it way back on the ps2,but got bored after 10 minutes or so.
Still, for those of you with good nerves, try it.
January 5, 2010 at 7:02 pm #54579Domba_carMemberYup, if it dosen't work press the first and second button. It's easy to beat the game under 5h, I did it with the buisness skin cause I had to get the Seeing Red trophy too. It's easier with the cow skin cause you get more Health and Magic.
Thanks!
