January 13, 2010 at 11:04 pm #55352xxKnightmarExxMemberSorry to hear it man, I'm dreading the day I get YLOD, provided I ever do.
January 13, 2010 at 11:11 pm #55355gow2rulesMemberbad luck about that sorry to hear it
January 13, 2010 at 11:27 pm #55359edge4eva32MemberSorry to hear that man. That truely blows. Have you tried to find at home methods on how to fix the YLOD? I know there are several different ways of doing it. I mean, what do you have to lose? It is already out of warranty anyways.
January 14, 2010 at 12:14 am #55362W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberIts not the end . Man up and get a job , save up , whatever . Trading in those useless games that collect dust can go a long way . I recently invested in the 250Gb PS3 Slim , lost all my saves , but no regrets .

January 14, 2010 at 1:07 am #55371ecurryMemberHey danny-boii, sorry for your loss but don’t do anyhting too drastic i have fixed 5 YLOD’s so far and all are working flawlessly now – be it 40/80 GB model or 60GB model. So if you can bear with me i can help you out i have been editing a video i made before Christmas and will be posting on my site later this week!
It can take a while to get it done, 3 hours for your first time, but it works i have not done this and not been able to get it to work and it can cost you as little as £30! So bear with me I am working on it!
I773D33MAB13 can vouch for me on this too!January 14, 2010 at 1:09 am #55372Ratchet525MemberSorry to hear man. But don't end your ps3 gaming days. Save up for a new one.
January 14, 2010 at 2:06 am #55377CoryAllenMemberok dude i can't believe you would do something as dumb as deleting everything! things can be fixed. hang in there!

My thoughts exactly. The YLOD is the most fixable fault with the PS3 so why put yourself in a position where there's no going back.
January 14, 2010 at 7:27 pm #55395CoryAllenMemberexactly. you could've at least listened to reason before just deleting everything. now you probably are better off just selling the ps3 because it'd suck having to start over lol
January 15, 2010 at 2:59 am #55427tdsoil2Memberman… selling a ps3 with the ylod on it would kind of be brutal to whoever bought it unless they could fix it lol. anyway sorry about your problems danny-boii. the ps3 is only 299 now you could save for a couple of months and get one. keep your head up and find a way!
January 18, 2010 at 9:57 pm #55702emdeepeeMemberLooks like my launch 60gb has finally succumbed to YLOD
Managed to rescue my AC2 disc that was in there, so thats something, but I was only 3 trophies short of plat!!!!! Gutted I've lost my game saves though. Back to square one.
Will see if I can get a friend to fix it, but looks like I'll have to start saving again.
January 18, 2010 at 11:35 pm #55706Domba_carMemberTo everyone who had/has YLOD: Did the back of your PS3 start blowing hot air? Mine never did that untill now.
January 19, 2010 at 12:17 am #55707NinjacatMemberI have never got it. And I pray to god, if he exists, that I never do.
