MemberCOD6:MW2 by a long shot imo, but i hope a different game gets it like FIFA 10, they hardly ever take more notice at sports games which are my fav.

MemberI think FIFA 10 should be the last FIFA on disc then release updated squads and stuff by patches or DLC.

I don't think FIFA or PES will win GOTY's or any sports game. Don't know why tho.

FIFA 10 sounds absolutely brill this year with all the new stuff they've updated and included. FIFA beats PES anyways and i think it deserves a look at.
@redbren, no, that wouldnt work because what would they call it? and anyways, they update it with lots of good extras and as you know more realistic football. and anyways, keep patching it would be ALOT of the time so no point really.

I think that quote is directed at me not monkeymoobs. I just don't think they update enough things each year to pay 60 euros on.

Memberi think it will end up being modern warfare 2 because of the amount of people that will buy it and continue using it but i hope for uncharted 2 to win it as it looks brilliant and co-op now.

MemberI have to agree with Monkeymoobs, there will come a point when sports games like fifa and madden will have run their course in how far they can go. The best thing that EA can do at that point is just constantly update it with new team rosters, new modes etc.
And I cant believe people who say Fallout is a GOTY contender. Yeah its a solid game and theres lots to talk about in it but wandering around washington got very samey. There are some open world games that must die, and some developers need to learn that a bigger area isn't always best. They should take notes from bioshock, dead space, batman. Those games payed attention to every area in the game and there was a real sense of atmosphere around them. Plus does anyone not get bored of walking around a huge open world to find some stupid can opener so you can go 40 minutes back the way you came to complete your objective. Yeah sure you can fast travel, but inFamous had a real fun way which you could traverse the atmospheric world it had.
I say we move on to the games that add tension and atmosphere to every level or to games that tell a great story the entire way through, or realistic games. Or we could think about the games that are just downright fun! I'm talking about Uncharted (fun and great storytelling), inFamous (fun and great setting, fun way to traverse the open world), Killzone (whilst lacking in the way they told an epic storyline it had realistic controls and original set pieces), Batman (all of the above, plus Mark Hamill!). I think it's a great time for computer games, we can see instant classics like Heavy Rain and GOW3 coming and will soon be able to enjoy Ratchet And Clank, Uncharted and for racing fans Gran Tourismo 5!
In essence what I'm saying is, stop preaching on about how Fallout 3 better than sliced bread!
Apologies for the essay!!!

MemberIs it possible for Burnout Paradise to get GOTY just for the DLC? Not saying it would just think it would be funny.

MemberI think that Modern Warfare 2(not COD 6) will win in sales(on PS3) but it's a really hard choice for me to name my fav for GOTY as there are so many great titles coming this year.

Member@ ninjamidget fallout 3 was the best thing since sliced bread lol

Memberwow monkey likes Bethesda games.
Bethesda ftw!September 6, 2009 at 7:27 pm #42294NinjaMidget
Memberlol, I think Oblivion was better than Fallout but thats because I prefer stabbing people than shooting people. But I still got bored of Oblivion. I'm not saying that their bad games, on the contrary their quite good, but what I'm saying is that Fallout never deserved to get GOTY.
I think Bethesda's new game Brink will be the one that defines how good a company they are!! You havn't really given me any reasons why Fallout should be GOTY either, no reasons that prove what I said wrong anyway!

MemberI'd never heard of Brink but i just checked it out and i must say i'm impressed.
