which 1 do i get??

both are awesome i like the drums, guitar and mic on guitar hero better

but rockband 2 gets new DLC like every week

gh:wt has create ur own song but i dont really care cuz i write REAL songs with my band

any help????

I bought Rock Band 2 and my bro bought GH:WT…..let me tell you this, I hate the Guitar Hero drums now that i've tried them. I'm not sure if it's the sensitivity or timing but whenever i hit the Red drum pad with another pad or crash, the red one just doesnt register, my Rock Band drums never do that.

there has been a recent discovery wherby the drumset in guitar hero world tour i shaving major sensitivity problems.

another factor here is if you're collecting trophies. I'm not sure if world tour has trophies but rockband 2 definitely does.

I'm still not sure which one i will go with myself to be honest.

I'd look at the track lists personally. See what songs/artist on each game and see if that helps. Whats the point of buying DLC if you can get it on the other game??

i like the setlist in rb2 better
the new gh guitar is awesome though

reports are coming in recently that the controls are NOT completely compatable with eachother.

but they say they might 'patch' it.

also does anyone know if the rockband 2 game will work with the GHIII guitar controller?

The songs are Rockband 2 are much better to my ears. I am use to Rockbands style of guitar and i find it's more easy to use. It also looks and feels more realistic. Going back to guitar hero controller the hand pains come back.
For the question Rockband 2 or GHWT? It's not the peripherals you should be looking at it should be the game and set list of songs.

I can confirm Guitar hero 3 controller working in Rockband 1.

BTW What really sucks is that the game luanches with DLC???
That's so bullshit,it would fit on the disc….. they just want more money,greedy basterds. That's why i use one acount with a few people and only get songs on one account and everyone leeches.

but what about the ghIII controller with rockband 2?

Also I don't know why people complain about wrist injuries, I never got them using the GHIII controller.

maybe I have crazy joints lol.

i personally find that the setlist for rock band 2 is FREAKING HORRIBLE 90% of the tracks suck ass 5% are pretty good and the other 5% are awesome. after playing this i really wonder how i survived amplitude lol at least that had some slipknot in it

I think rockband tries to be a bit more cultured rather than having just classic rock music. some like this, some don't.

I'm not sure where I stand with it yet lol.

half of this stuff isnt considered classic rock anymore now its considered freaking oldies. this is just my views on the game and i dont mean of offend anyone but this game is awefull. toss in some in flames, pantera, slipknot, more megadeth, more metallica, maybe a little mushroomhead and top it off with a bit of dethklok just for the fun of it lol

that's probably why they do dlc – so that people can customize their game to the way they want it.

lol i wish they had more varied dlc

the “metal” pack had foo fighters and all american rejects. WTF they are both good bands especially foo fighters but they are not metal.

they should have pantera man lol Dimebag RIP and some old skool metal
