A bit of 'too little too late' perhaps?

The fact that only a few threads are popular and no members, for whatever reason, seem to be willing to make new threads contribute to the fact that you post less, what i would call, rubbish…

Call it coincidence but, IMO, it was around when you first arrived that slowly over time less and less 'familiar faces', for whatever reason, stopped posting as regularly as perhaps they once did…

You do realise that a forum is about the exchange of ideas and continuation of conversations 'aka' threads, do you? The question begs… Why post if you have no thoughts about anything? Thoughts as in what you think… You must think 'things' right? Other than 1-3 word sentences, or is that how you live in real life? Ever thought about just thinking 'yes' or 'no' etc. instead of posting it?

“I think this because of this ” – Simple really… Anything anyone has said about you, is because of you. Not because of them… It's my belief that if you'd still be 'trolling' if there was more to post about and more people to annoy.

If you were a 'good guy' people would have no ammunition to 'attack'(lol) you with? You said yourself you 'stopped'… Stopped what exactly? To tell me you have become less of a douche out of choice is, for me, hard to believe…

2 b fair 2 gas he really hasnt posted any “trolling” posts 4 a while (except this last 1) n he has contributed with the prediction thread wich IMO is a very good n fun thread.

Yea I did, and IMO its never 2 late 2 stop being a “troll”, and i might b wrong here but I havnt seen 2 many ppl leave (except 4 ratchet n W4R, but they were jerks anyways) and even if there were others u cant blame 1 person 4 that. And nobody else joins this site cus evry time theres a new face he gets called out (YOMEGAS)

Maybe I just needed to let off some steam IDK. These forums do kinda suck but other forums are too damn big and i feel that i dont have a real 'voice' to be heard. At least i can get a mental image of someones personality and character here. And thats where my problem with gas is. As The Good Doc pointed out, he is completely devoid of personality and character. And i Also agree with him that the Admin kinda sucks. Its obvious to me hes kinda turned this thing into a proverbial 'cash cow'. how often do we here that voice being like “WE HAVE A MYSTERY GIFT THAT CAN BE YOURS.” This site, despite the lack of forum depth, gets alot of hits. IF you googe “ps3 trophies” its the fifth adress that pops up, and the other 4 are all the same site. And i know that im not the only person thats clicked those by accident, making our lame-o Admin money. Speaking of ps3trophies.com, (the site before this one) I think and feel that that site would be perfect for gas. noone would care that you are an idiot there, bc noone will notice you.

So theres my rant

It's pretty obvious to me you have no idea what you're talking about when you talk about this site and it's advertisements. Ads are needed to cover the costs of running this site, that's very simple to understand. But the ads barely cover hosting costs so calling this a “cash cow” is so far from the truth I laughed really hard when I read that.

You should get some insight into what you're talking about before sitting around here and calling someone lame.

I do this on my spare time and started this website because once I thought it was fun to collect trophies. I still think it's fun but I rarely have the time anymore which is a bummer.

I kept wanting to post in this thread in reply to Gas, but it's not really my place to say anything. And I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said.

Jenkem, I can see where you're coming from, but Admin is probably right about the ads just covering the cost of hosting. Admin, you're a great guy and I'm sure nobody on this site actually has a problem with you as a person, it is however, your activity on the site. Or, lack of it, as it may seem. The 'veterans' have held the site up, keeping it a great place to be, but others have swapped to rival sites, reducing the amount of half decent members drastically. Though, us basic members can only do so much. We need someone who is around all the time, someone who isavailable at least once a day to keep things completely under control. Right now it's not entirely needed, but given time, the site is going to slowly deteriorate. The site has already become more of a football(=fail) fans site than a gaming/trophy collecting community. I'm pretty sure most of the people in the football threads don't give a rats about trophies or games that aren't Fifa, PES or CoD. However that might be pretty stereotypical.

I understand the average age of this site is probably about 15, but when I was 15 I had some half decent inputs in several forums, and I became a valued member of them. Probably half the members of this site don't have much to say in regard to new releases, Playstation news, upcoming titles or trophy guides. I know I'm not 25 years old with an extensive game library and a wealth of gaming experience, and I know I haven't written a trophy guide, but I share what I can, whether it be news or anything interesting. I'm also aware I'm not around much anymore, but that's not because I don't want to be. I've been bogged down with sixth form work, but now I'm settled, I should be on every evening. The site's great, and has always been one of my favourite places on the internet, but it's true, it's becoming less and less wonderful.

I agree with you Ninja, the site is slowly dying and i think that it was dying before i ever started posting here. like i said before i feel kinda stuck in a rut bc i feel i have no voice in a place with thousands of people online at once. But on the other hand there is a serious lack of discussion here, which is the whole point of a forum

There's a report function on this website, it's there for a reason… if anyone wants something moderated feel free to use it. I see some people complain ALOT, but still you don't use the report function!?

Instead of writing meaningless posts complaining you could spend a few seconds reporting in what you want moderated instead and it'll get looked into.

I'd have to say your wrong about the 'cash cow' comments… I have no problems with adverts, i don't even know how clicking an advert could directly cost me money anyway? Just put on your Firewall, 'pop up blocker' etc. If you get a load of 'pop ups' that's not really Admins fault…

I've been an active member since January 1st this year pretty much and a lot has changed, believe me… Even the people still here have changed in a way, just because of everything else that's been happening with the site. I remember when threads were longer than a few posts, when people had a laugh within the threads and even the 'so-called' trolls were included in the conversations. When new threads were popping up on a regular basis, with proper conversations and community

I'd also add i only complain(these days) about new members who are ridiculous. We don't need that.

@Doc it doesnt cost us money, every time a banner is clicked someone else pays him
