@knoxie splinter cells overall rank is 86/100. Thats good but Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time have higher scores 😉

I barely bothered with the online in MW2 so I can't comment on the novelty wearing off but claiming that people are only playing it because it's a recent release is fairly ridiculous.

There has been a stack of massive releases to distract people since MW2 came out. I can't keep up with all of the games I've bought recently. Several of the guys on my friends list are still on MW2 despite also picking up quite a few newer games. When you consider the lack of trophies for the online mode I can only assume they're still playing the game because they (like Knoxie) think it's quality and feel it has longevity.

And I don't think there is any merit in quoting what scores various games got. If working with the public has taught me anything it's that most people are unforgivably thick. I couldn't imagine letting some stranger's review affect my attitude to a game. I might listen to a friend or someone I know possesses a shred of intelligence but never some number on a web-page.

And don't get me started on that “true gamer” comment. That actually made me wince.

ok.. Uncharted 2 has a metacritic score of 96 (That is freaking HIGH!!!) 

And MGS4 has a 94 (Also high, only dragged down by one review..)

And Knox, sorry to say it, but a lot of people are now saying MW2 is crap. Read most of the posts here..

see Uncharted 2 and MGS4 are class. And the only reason why I brought up R&C is because I remember you saying it wasn't “class” in a chat. Now, you say SC:C is class but R&C has a higher metacritic ranking.

a lot of people here. there are also a lot of people here who love it, off this page i think iruleu and monkeymoobs do. do you think 300,000 (30x of who did play U2 MP) people play the MP coz they dont like it? maybe they dont love it, but still they must have some interest.

i do not solely believe that a good review on a game means the game is good, i was just using it to back up my point, because ive played SC:C demo and it is really good. i also can remember people from this site who dont like U2/ or as much as U:DF, e.g tridon and coryallen (sorry if ive got wrong person).

ratchet, the only reason i would have said that is because its not my type of game, and why didnt you give a reply to I773D33MABL3?

lol yea i still love it. but yea it does still piss me off when im close to a KS and i get killed either by a camper or heartbeat. i wanted to play farcry 2 last night but i realized i lost it.

Then why put something like that in your original comment if you were not trying to imply that because it really didn't help prove your point whatsoever.

And how do you know anything about the MW2 community at large?  It was one of the biggest selling games ever, I think every guy on my friend's list has it and they're a pretty varied bunch.
