wow… are people actually saying fallout is hard?
it's the easiest RPG i've ever played! the quests are NOT entirely free roaming – you get told where to get with added marker points on your map. you get tonnes of experience points to level up with. (i'm glad they are thinking of raising the level cap to 30).
Seriously, this game is easy and the trophies are very straightforward and don't take much effort at all. However, they DO take some time to do. if you're patient enough to play it, then you haven't a clue what the hell an RPG is! why don't you guys go back to snes, where RPGs took hundreds of hours to complete!
Seikendensetsu for instance is probably my favourite and one of THE BEST RPGs out there. I'm only angry that fallout 3 doesn't have ENOUGH to do. it's too short!
One last comment, this topic went way off track.

I agree with J.Bowles all of a sudden there are all these stupid free roaming games like fallout and farcry 2. it's like a whole new era of gaming, i prefer games like Dead Space and Bioshock to be honest, not complicated, not long winded and enjoyable, u people must have serious patience if you can actually play this game through. What is happening to gaming these days.
Thank God for Killzone 2
if you don't like fallout 3 , thats cool , but why do you want the trophies ? if you prefer dead space and bioshock , cool , if you havent got the patience , cool , i dont have enough patience to do bioshock without the vita-chambers , but if you dont like fallout , i just dont see why you care about the trophies , theres other games that have trophy support that you'll like…. (chill …. :D)
January 21, 2009 at 8:08 pm #20547edge4eva32MemberI agree with Shadeblack. RPG's rule!!! That is just the simple truth. I grew up on the final fantasy series, and many others. However, with that being said, I must say that Fallout 3 has been rather disappointing due to graphics, glitches, and gameplay. I am also not a fan of the story that is in fallout 3. Now, FarCry 2……well that games just blows, lol. Again, I agree with Shadeblack regarding the old RPGs that took hundreds of hours to complete. Those type of games were the best and you got more than your money worth out of those games.
January 21, 2009 at 8:15 pm #20549kingawolMemberwhat other game did i get 140 hours out of ? RPG's rule , as do rocket-propelled grenades …..
January 21, 2009 at 10:40 pm #20553parnakasMembera good fps should give you 100+ hours with online, look at cod4 i must have spent 200+ hours on that

yeah, and i've got nothing against it really… but it's the same thing over and over… with and old-school RPG, it'd be something different all the time really.
Yeah you'd have to do loads of battles, but the development of the characters and new moves and such keep those characters and battles alive and different.
FPS is indeed pretty awesome and online even better… Well, that's questionable according to taste and preference. BUT, an RPG simply gives you more, in the sense of Volume.

I remember spending hours upon hours doing the 99 level random dungeon in Lufia trying to get all the blue chest treasures and beating the massive red jello. Then 5 hours go buy and the power goes out with nowhere to save! Aw devo.
I also spent close to 200 hours on Final fantasy 10 completly editing the sphere grid and maxing out all stats just so i could defeat Penance…..and i did lol

Anyone know where I can find the schematics for the Nuka-Grenade? I 'accidentally' killed the woman who gives it to you.

yeah those 'accidents' happened to me regularly….
January 23, 2009 at 12:04 am #20599kingawolMemberand wikicheats got a pretty good guide , and cool map , thats wahat helped me with the plat , everything you need s there…
January 23, 2009 at 3:19 am #20603shadeblackParticipanti haven't used any of the guides yet, and i've got most of the trophies. it's a very easy game. maybe i should have stuck it on hard or very hard :S
some trophy locations though is what im using the guide for. i don't have the time to look in EVERY location, so for the last few trophies, i'll be using a bit of the guides.
January 25, 2009 at 10:55 pm #20664VetesseMemberUsing a guide isn't that bad. walk trough whole the map and I still didn't find all the locations and I didn't wan't to walk it twice
the first time I played it it didn't have trophies so i had to play it allover again and to get all the trophies i have to play three times
January 25, 2009 at 11:04 pm #20665kingawolMemberwell , when you cant find stuff….lets face it , some places i would never have looked otherwise. (and it was real helpful getting nuka cola quantums for the quest) to be honest , ask your mates or a guide , whats the difference ?
