i haven't used any of the guides yet, and i've got most of the trophies. it's a very easy game. maybe i should have stuck it on hard or very hard :S
some trophy locations though is what im using the guide for. i don't have the time to look in EVERY location, so for the last few trophies, i'll be using a bit of the guides.
yeah , who has time to walk around the wasteland when killzone 2 so close …. guide was good to find bobbleheads , schematics and behemoths… i think they should have made Explorer perk available from a low level , not only from level 20 (by that time you're almost finished…)
January 26, 2009 at 12:11 am #20670shadeblackParticipantim not saying there is anything wrong with using guides, but i prfer to play the game first, then use a guide later if i still need something when i've finished it. i got about 40 trophies without using a guide to begin with.
i just think they are not needed and that they take a lot of the fun out of playing the game. the time i spent getting the last few trophies while looking at a guide was NOT enjoyable.

yeah , no prob , i know what you mean…i got most of the trophies without guides , i think i just get a little touchy on the subject of fallout , my only plat… …playing with a guide is kinda like going back to school and doing homework…
January 27, 2009 at 3:17 pm #20702Nutrobal10MemberOK i started over again,
i was doing the GNR quest but i had hardly any health, no ammo, and RAD poisoning so literally 10 secs after the game loaded up i would die and i stupidlly overwrote all my data so i could not go back
i have just fineshed the father mission and by god it was long and i got sidetracked by that little boy so now i am doin the quest with all those fire ants which i haven't bothered to try recently because it is very hard they just do not die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HELP
January 28, 2009 at 12:17 am #20721Oz-MetalheadMemberUse your vats and target their heads. Explosives are good against them. Aslo sneaking and getting them shot in the head without them being aware helps…You could always put the game on 'very easy'
April 26, 2009 at 4:18 pm #23865Davz13MemberIm Not Evan Going To Try And Platinum This, 2 Time Consuming

I`m sorry but i completely disagree with you! I think fallout 3 is an amazing game, ok it does have its bugs and the odd glitch or two but don`t all games? also there is so much freedom in this game no constrictions like GTA4, all the multiple endings etc and the platinum isn`t hard just a bit time consuming but when playing this game you won`t care how time consuming they are because of how great the game is! And what do you mean by bad quality? the fact it isn`t all colourful and loads of trees? please remember the game is set after a nuclear war and isn`t very bright and cheerful for some reason….If anyone finds any of the trophies hard or confusing to obtain try out my trophy guide on this website, i tried to make it easy going so anyone could understand it. and yes the trophies are time consuming but at least you get a sense of achievment when you do eventually obtain them, unlike with some games where pausing the game is worth a trophy
April 28, 2009 at 11:35 pm #24057XeroTheGreatMemberWoah, slow down there my friend. I also completely disagree with your statement. Fallout 3 has got to be one of the best games I've played yet. Yes, I will admit that it may have minor performance issues, but these issues no way spoil the overall game. The graphics are good, the gameplay is good, the combat is good, infact the only thing i hate about it is when you walk miles being followed by a damm radscorpion, turn round and it scares the crap out of you lolz. But still, I suppose it's a bit like Marmite. “Ya either love it or ya hate it”
April 29, 2009 at 12:26 am #24069KILLER369Member1) fallout 3 is NOT crap.
2) if your struggling with it, you obviously skiped the begining and didn’t chose youre skills wisely.
3) if your having a hard time Bcause of difficulty issues, pause> gameplay> difficulty > 0—«
1004) if U find walking is boring, Map> (neerest area to or your destination)
5) if U think the first cupple of quests are hard wait till your fightin a sqaud of enclave wen the only things U got are a baseball bat, sexy sleepware & sum bramin meat. all the while a prik in a white coat unleashes project x on ur ass ie. DDDDD DEATHCLAW!
6) get up off ur lazy ass n do it urself or trade it in so another person can have the fortune of finally obtaing fallout
April 29, 2009 at 4:35 am #24083shadeblackParticipantwoah woah woah…. Calm the heck down guys! although i don't agree with smarto's accusations, I also believe that he is entitled to his opinion of the game.
Personally, I played it for about 60 hours or so i think, and it DID freeze a lot. maybe four times for me. I once lost 4 hours work on fallout 3 when it froze and I didn't save it. I had to use the closest autosave, which saved me about 2 hours worth of gameplay. so yes, it does feeze, and it can be very frustrating.
What I don't understand, however, is why the hell you bought the game for £45. You're clearly over exaggerating. No where in england will sell a ps3 game, even brand new for £45. you can pick up ps3 games now for the very usual price of £17.99. or if it's brand new on the first couple weeks of its release, roughly £29.99 – 39.99 (MAX).
Another thing that baffles me is why you skipped a few quests in the beginning to get a trophy you'd normally get just by playing the game. by doing that, you'd just set yourself up to story redundancies (as with most RPGs).
and bad quality? I think you've just got the wrong word there. I'm guessing you were trying to make a point with the freezing up… so I figure you meant to say consistency. Yeah the game is a little inconsistent, but since you left the story in a rather foolish attempt to get a trophy you would have gotten anyway, I'd say that's not a very accurate assumption of you.
I also found that the terrain is a bit bland… everything is indeed the same colour with a slight greenish-grey tint to it. but what do you expect? unicorns and rainbows? Well actually if you go to Eden, there ARE trees, and it's quite a nice place filled with a bit more colour.
I could keep on writing about all this… but it's 3:30AM and i can't be bothered to. lol.

lol dont want 2 start an argument but some games ARE actually £40-£50 in some shops such as GAME, GAMESTATION etc. bcoz COD4 (Collectors Edition) is still £45 & COD4 (Normal 1) is still £30 & this is them both reduced by £5 i think, & u will find some brand new games will be first priced at £40 or £45 in these shops sooo
April 29, 2009 at 9:23 pm #24124shadeblackParticipantwell… yeah if you go to shops….
but why do that when it's cheaper online?
play.com – cod4 = 29.99
and I've never paid for a brand new ps3 game above 39.99. and the usual now averages about £35.
my point was… how long as fallout 3 been out for now? there is no way you'd have to buy it for more than £20.

May 3, 2009 at 7:56 pm #24435smarto15Memberi didnt mean any of that in a way which made the game seem not good i was very angry at the time and i had the game before trophies so i accidently found vault 112 but it's all good cos i did the last mission now and yes i think you're correct in stating that i meant consistency but all in all a good game i think my ps3 is slowly dieing on me making the game freeze more than it normally would but yeah when this games completely out of the way onto cod waw trophies yaaay
