I tried it from the last possible place to start and it didn't work, so I'm not sure. Maybe the update did fix that, which would kind of be a bummer, although playing through the entire thing on superhuman would definitely tone my FPS skills.
June 15, 2009 at 9:45 pm #28230Seibei4211MemberOh, yeah, I did the whole game on Superhuman. I didn't think about just doing the last level. Superhuman's fun anyway. Killing Machine took me months…but after a while I was getting really tired, so I was only doing 100 kills minimum every day. It helps to have a friend and a headset so you don't get so bored.
June 15, 2009 at 10:12 pm #28231GHOST305MemberThanks for the help. I got the trophy for using all the beserks; now i need about 6,000 more kills…
June 15, 2009 at 11:50 pm #28236Ps3 FreakMemberLOL, i've been 6,000 kills away from platinum since the 1st month R2 came out… i cba playing it when cod is so much better
June 16, 2009 at 12:24 am #28239GHOST305MemberI havn't had much time to get back on since there have been so many new games coming out; but, when i do, i usually do what Seibei (go to about 100 kills and then get off). However, if i REALLY HAVE NOTHING TO DO, then ill play for a long time. I just keep telling myself to take it one kill at a time.
June 16, 2009 at 1:06 am #28243Seibei4211MemberThe worst part is that 10,000 kills wasn't even enough to get me to level 30. I'm still at, like, 26 or 27. Maybe it's cause I was doing Team Deathmatch most of the time. Maybe Skirmish gets more XP. I dunno. I thought 10k TD kills would kinda be enough.
June 17, 2009 at 6:32 pm #28315gamerbenMembernone of the trophies are hard, just time consuming
June 18, 2009 at 10:51 am #28367Seibei4211MemberIf it takes more than two months to get one trophy, that counts as hard in my book. If you're bad at online Competitive, too, then holy crap, takes forever. Sure you'd get it if you got 1 kill per match eventually, but there's got to be some point when time-consuming just turns into hard. Not to mention the repetition. I think repetition is hard to deal with. Yes, the hard part is keeping your sanity in tact for that long and to keep yourself from getting bored and quitting. That was really hard.
June 18, 2009 at 2:36 pm #28372BigWoopMagazineMemberI think you're confused. If it takes that long and is tedious, and repetitive, its not hard, its just flat out boring. Theres no real challenge here, because if it gets too boring, just get a friend to play on your account when you're not… which is lame so I'm simply not bothering with the platinum in this game. I will probably go back and get the OMGWTFBBQ trophy though, because thats hard, and its a challenge I'll enjoy.
June 18, 2009 at 10:52 pm #28401Oz-MetalheadMemberOMGWTFBBQ is easy. It's actually alot easier to finish on superhuman than it is on hard. And that is because nearly all the enemies drop bullseye mark 2's. They make it sooooo easy.
I've been putting off 10,000 kills for ages now because it bores the hell out of me. And now i am probably to late to platinum it as no one would be playing it. Oh well….
June 19, 2009 at 10:09 am #28436Seibei4211MemberI'm not confused. I'll compromise. It's time consuming, but it's not easy.
June 19, 2009 at 5:07 pm #28443BigWoopMagazineMemberoz you're not too late, I was on the other day and there were still a lot of people playing… I just couldn't get into the multiplayer for this game… its such massive chaos all the time that I feel confused and like its impossible to work together with my team… at the same time, if I try to go solo I just get overpowered. It creates a total lack of strategy, and I just can't find it fun. I even feel the same way in the co-op, but there is a strategy, which is play the role you choose. thats it. so its not just time consuming, but time wasting as well… unless you REALLY want that trophy. these are all reasons I can't wait for MAG, because the massive aspect is cool, and I think the organization system of squads and platoons is really going to make it fun to work together as a team, rather than just feeling lost in the chaos.
June 19, 2009 at 7:02 pm #28446NodanodMemberI have 2 asmit, while the online was once tipped 2be better thn cods (Which tbh it isn't) i am a bit dissapointed by the online gameplay, i just cba with kills etc. and i'll only get a platinum on a game i enjoy (so far LBP, Uncharted, Fallout 3, and Burnout)
June 19, 2009 at 7:16 pm #28450BigWoopMagazineMemberexactly.
