So its not just me who finds it boring… I have a couple of mates who like the online of R2 better than COD…
June 21, 2009 at 5:09 pm #28492ThickbrowMemberSure trophies are great and fun to unlock but at what point do you say “this is not worth it?”
The people that have Hanna Montana, that japanesse game, leisure suit larry ect still haven't hit 'rock bottom' yet.
I am proud to say I don't have a platnium on games like Wolverine where they want you to play through the whole game again on hard mode. It was so damn repetitive and long.
games like R2 or Warhawk or even Hawks require you to just play for an insane amount of hours to get the trophies. Again…not worth it.
Can you really be pround that you had to spend 300 hours playing a game to get a platnium?
I am pround of getting 100% in games like SuperStarDust HD (late boomer and shock & awe). That actually require skill.
UFC while it has good skill earned trophies, has a few that are going to just be annoying. Play as every player in exhibition? thats f'n LAME! Become the champion in every weight catagory in career mode? Thats f'n lame too. I like career mode…but to have to play through it 5 times…no thanks.

one of my friends has played a few matches 2 kills 17 deaths. i may find online easy but he obviously doesnt and is not going to get the trophy
playing through games more than once is not lame. it gives you a better understanting of the story (not UFC)
some games, like uncharted 2 you want to play more than once. ive played it through 7 times and im sure everyone with a plat has played it about 5 times

i have the wolverine plat. I thought the game was fun, so i wanted to play through it again. So should be ashamed that i played through the game twice?

Exactly. Now I bet that trophy is hard in your friend's eyes.
Yeah, I had to play Uncharted 1 a bunch of times because I got the 1,000 medal points, then the patch came out and I had to do it again… 7 plays in all, I think.
June 22, 2009 at 7:04 am #28548MiiiitchMemberWhy does it matter if people decide to play a game for ages to get a platinum they’re not hurting you so mind your own business.
I’ve played aquite a few games and some i have put the effort in to get the platinum in and some i can’t be bothered with, i notice quite alot of jealously on this site but it is pointless. Simply put if you don’t want to get a platinum then don’t, but don’t act like little bitch’s towards the people that do. Having said that i’m not gonna play games like hannah montana or play both sega collections(i’ve played one) just to get an easy platinum but if i decide to plat the games i like then it shouldn’t be an issue and anyone who thinks otherwise simply shows jealously.
June 22, 2009 at 9:20 am #28549pobert06Memberif you don't like getting the 10000 and you keep whining hard that trophy for this game is then don't play it.As simple as that!
I platinumed this game because i was having fun and the same time learning the mechanics and what to do and use in multiplayer. You just have to find ways how to achieve the platinum without getting bored like joining in a clan or with friends so you won' t ever get bored playing alone.Mix up your berserks and weapons so you know what you will use on that map to get plenty of kills.
What I am saying is don't stick to what you know you should be doing and then get easily bored when you can't achieve it.Add some excitement and fun to your gameplay which can also help you achieve what you needed to do instead of whining.
June 22, 2009 at 11:17 am #28550Seibei4211MemberI hope you guys aren't talking to me cause I have that Plat and am not complaining about the 10k kills. O.o
Edit: Seriously, who are you talking to anyway?
June 22, 2009 at 2:36 pm #28555BigWoopMagazineMemberMaybe me? Although I wasn't whining really, just making a statement was all. As for the trophies that make you play the game again on a harder mode, thats something you definitely shouldn't complain about. Theres many games I always did this for well before trophies existed (God of War 1 and 2!), because when everything in the game is well done, it becomes more fun when its more challenging. It should force you to learn all the little nuances in the gaming mechanics and perfect your techniques for utilizing them to your full advantage. GOW was really, really great for this… and actually I liked playing R2 on the harder modes, I thought the single player campaign was awesome! But I know I won't get the 10k trophy, and its because if I'm going to play online, I'll throw CoD back in… or perhaps Red Faction… although I haven't decided how I feel about RF's multiplayer yet.

June 22, 2009 at 8:21 pm #28580Ps3 FreakMemberIf i had to say what i think the best name for a trophy is i would say it has to be “OMGWTFBBQ”

Haha, thats exactly what i thought… in all honesty i doubt i'd be that fussed about getting the trophy… its only its name

most of them are easy OMGWTFBBQ is the hardest, the 10000 kills takes a long time by as you play more you get better. overall there pretty easy, it definatly a game where you can achiev plat. (idont hav it yet, need the two i mentioned)
OMGWTFBBQ is not the hardest.. when you start the game start on hard then beat it then when you unlock the hardest diffuclty after you beat the game on hard do the last mission on the hardest difficulty and then you will get that trophy.. but you dont need that trophy to get the plat
