ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are coming to the PS3!

Here's some pretty wicked news for you; two of the PlayStation2's most precious little gems are on their way to the PS3 next April. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus will be released in a collection set (i.e. God of War Collection) with upgraded HD quality running at 30 frames per second. Not only that but they'll both include trophies and Shadow of the Colossus will have a optional presentation in 3D. Check it out:

In addition to that, it was also announced that The Last Guardian will arrive Holiday 2011. With these three titles, a new Metal Gear Solid game (kinda), Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2 and more, 2011 is easily turning out to be the PS3's best year yet!

Well this was just officially announced last night so I thought I'd post up the link. It's been unofficially revealed for a couple days now but nothing was yet confirmed.

Can not wait.. This could be better than the GoW collection

I bought ICO and never got round to playing it

Started Shadow of the Colossus, didn't like it and sold it

Double shame

I was going to sell my PS2 copies to purchase this Collection but I just found out that the version of ICO in the Collection will contain a different ending than my original PS2 copy. Apparently the Collection will have the ending that was only released in Europe. I had no idea there was different endings. Looks like I'll be owning two copies! Oh, well… both games are worth the double dip! 😀

I have never played Ico or Shadow Of The Collossus, are these games as good as everyone says and what makes them good?

Excluding the Metal Gear games, Team ICO's projects were the best games on the PS2. Beautiful to look at, large in scale and completely challenging and innovative to play. Pure classics.

This. I agree with you 100%

The only other games that could possibly compare was the GoW series.

I never got to play ICO and the only thing I didn't like about SotC was the ugly-as-hell framerate (even stopped play for a while)… so I'm kinda excited about this
