plus windows has more things that support it, apple does not
see, that just shows you dont own a MAC.. i have yet to find one program that does not run on MAC. Except for a RaR file converter thing, but there are a million alternatives to those..
Exactly. Apple is better than windows in every category.

ah.. a common mistake.
Download windows for Mac.. then you can play all the games you desire.. if anyone still plays PC games..
November 5, 2009 at 1:33 am #48992czesionyoMemberYou got me there. I think lots of ppl play MMO on PC but most of the gaming jumped to consoles .
And I did not konw that U can install Windows on Mac.
It's sounds like having XBOX on PS3 😛
November 5, 2009 at 1:38 am #48995parnakasMemberlol yes, you can have windows on MAC.. but i prefer Snow Leopard.. i dont even play PC games.. os it doesnt matter for me.
I do like Starcraft though..
November 5, 2009 at 2:12 pm #49040shadeblackParticipantif you want to play games on a PC, don't get a mac.
get an up-to-date PC with say…
4gb 1333mhz ram,
phenomII x4 cpu,
perhaps an ati 58xx series for dx11 support.
770-c45 mobo,
a decent PSU
+ windows 7.
why windows 7? it's better than xp and vista and supports direct x 11.
oh and yes, pc games are still around, and they will always be far superior to console games.

Yay StarCraft!!!
As far as the touch screens go, you need to be careful. Granted my experience with them is from 2 or 3 years ago in college, my friend had one… it worked really really well… until it stopped working. Once it did he got wierd spots on the screen that wouldn't display correctly and it just really went to shit. Unfortunately on most laptops, once the screen goes, the laptop is done. So… unless they fixed that issue… and even if they “did”, I'd get a good warranty.
Also, I find windows generally runs video games better, despite my hatred for both windows and mac OS. Download Linux for free, partition your hard drive to handle two OS's, and run Linux all the time, run windows only for games. That should keep you virus free, and able to run anything you want, anytime.
EDIT: WTF is snowleopard?
EDIT x2: Nevermind – googled it, came right up.

although vista is direct x 10 compatible, it has nothing to do with how well your computer will run a game.
cod1 im guessing is only direct x 8 or 9 anyway, so it's going to look pathetic in the first place.
besides, it's your graphics card, ram and cpu that makes a game on a pc worth playing.
if a screen breaks on a laptop, then most times it can be repaired simply by replacing the screen.
though, touch screens still cost a small fortune, so it's probably not worth the price. “uneconomical”.
linux does still have viruses…
i've used windows throughout my life mainly for games and development reasons. run a GOOD anti-virus and know what you're doing, you won't get a virus.
now don't get me wrong, I've used Linux and understand it's benefits over windows. however, it's no way near as practical as windows.
as i always say:
windows: practicality + gaming
mac: creativity
linux: development + funtionality.
November 5, 2009 at 9:55 pm #49076parnakasMemberBigWoop – my iPod Touch has lasted a long time, i traded it in a while ago, to upgrade to a 16GB.. Never really had any issues with the screen yet fortunately!
cant wait for my MacBook Pro..
With any operating system – you can get viruses. Just install a good anti-virus program, and your done. Does not really matter on the operating system.
