This may not be “news” to many people, but it was news to me so I figures I'd post this for anyone who didn't know.
I haven't played my Wii in quite some time so I lent it to my parents so they could try Wii fit. I went over to their house the other day and set it up for their internet only to find a game on the online shop called Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. I read the dexcription and was EXTREMELY excited to find that it is a real sequel with the same SNES graphics and everything!
The only drawback is that it's being released in episodes, so in order to play the FULL game you'll wind up paying about $40, which for us FFIV fans is totally worth it. The first episode cost $8 and takes about 4 hours to beat, which was still a much better value than Penny arcade adventures which was $15 for about 3 hours.
Anyways, the game itself is awesome and it now has “Band” attacks (your characters can band together and do dual/triple character attacks like the dual techs in Chrono Trigger). There are mixed reviews for this game over the web but it is really good and the story is really interesting. Check it out if you have the Wii, or hopefully it would come to PSN!
