Posters (or is that postees?) on video game forums are SOOO much nicer than those on comic book forums. Here, everybody is friendly and kind to each other. You go to a comic forum, no matter which one it is, and yes, there is some nice people but for the most part everyone is arrogant and ignorant and unless you have two billions posts (basically because you have no life and all you do is sit on your computer and repeatedily push the refresh button to see if anyone has posted a new thread for you to be a dink on), you are inferior. I find myself to be quite a bit happier on this site and on this forum and I thank all of you for giving such an atmosphere.

Now, since it's somewhat related to this topic, who here likes comic books? Just asking because I want to make sure nobody would be too annoyed if I go on to the “Off Topic” every now and then and bitch about the current comic book happenings. I'd just like to stick around this forum and not worry about having to go visit douchbag central on another Web site.

im a fan of some comic books.

I actually really like the comic that the singer from MCR wrote. And my friend makes comics, they are awesome cuz im a character lol.

I actually like the Green Lantern and Wolverine comics.

But yea MOST people on this forum are nice.

Singer of MCR… My Chemical Romance, right? So do you mean the comic “The Umbrella Academy”? Never really got into that book. I'm definitely a Marvel boy at heart. Love Wolverine and the X-Men, Daredevil, Darkhawk, Punisher… more than I can afford, let's just say that. If anyone wants to read a great comic series though, I highly recommmend reading “Y: The Last Man” from DC/Vertigo. Best comic series I've read in my life!

yea the singer of My Chemical Romance. I think it was called that, but i can never remember the name lol.

I thought it was pretty imaginative.

I think i like Marvel more than DC. People say DC is better because of Batman.

Half of the batman fans are only fans because of The Dark Knight, which is not even about THE Batman. It was good but a lot of old batman fans hated it cuz it fuiked up the batman story. which it did.

Totally. TDK was basically Scarface guest-starring Batman. The Batmobile was hardly in it and the Batcave wasn't there at all. Oh, and apparently going to get some nobody Mob guy in Japan is more important than staying in your home city and dealing with a maniac who's going around killing people by the name of the Joker? COME ON! That whole scene angered me! Batman Begins was WAY better!

i just hate the dark knight because of the two face thing.

In the original, two face did not fall into an oil spill, and then burnt his face.

it was lame. It was a good movie, just over rated.

Batman Begins was ok as well.

Since when was batman trained by Qui-Gon Jinn? (star wars joke…i hope you get it lol)

I like graphic novels… I know that isn't the same as a comic book, you can see where they're similar.

Not really a comic book fan but i like horror books especially Stephen King one (read through The Shining, Carrie, Firestarter and am currenlty reading Cell) sorry if im a bit off topic 🙂

Yea, kingofgames, Stephen King has one twisted mind lol but his books are pretty intereesting

oh and yea tridon, i hope you stay on these forums man. You are an interesting character lol

Hey, thanks a lot, man. No worries… I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. So you're a SLG fan, eh? I used to read “Nightmares & Fairytales” and my girlfriend and I love “Bear” and “Milk and Cheese”.

If you love SK, I highly recommend The Dark Tower and The Stand books that Marvel's been putting out. Might turn you on to comics. =)

I am indeed an SLG fan… but they're hard to get over england. no comic book shops around at all – you have to import them, or have a search on ebay. it generally ends up with a 25% mark up though. 🙁

I really like Bear, but I have none of them to hand. I haven't read milk and cheese, nor nightmares and fairytales.

P.S please excluse my current lack of grammar and capital letters as I am typing in the dark. very tired and am too lazy to move my little finger to the shift key that many times. lol.

i knew i could rely on shade!!!

i didnt care that much for Batman Begins. It was an interesting take on Batman for sure, but i just wish they would have kept some of the old Batman comic books part of the story. I didnt really get the scarecrow guy, but the movie has VERY good actors. I hate The voice of batman when he is in the suit… its supposed to be scary, and a disguise, but it just sounds like crap lol
