SIZE TROPHIES:
Big Katamari: Create a Katamari over 500m
Big, Big Katamari: Create a Katamari over 10,000km
Big, Big, Big Katamari: Create a Katamari over 2,000,000km
All of these can be easily achieved by playing the “Wake up the King” level on eternal. However, before you attempt the “Big, Big, Big Katamari” Trophy, you must have completed every level on every mode! (The planets that you create give you a good majority of your size in the cosmos)
COLLECTION TROPHIES:
Superb Collector: Collect 80% of all the collection.
Fasionable: Collect over 30 varities of Presents.
Thinking of Cousins: Collect 30 of the cousins.
Collector: Collect all the Royal Presents
We Love Cousins: Collect all the Cousins
Walking Dictionary: Complete the Collection
The present/cousin trophies can easily be achieved by playing levels on enternal, and looking around. To tell how many presents/cousins are on each level, look in the bottom right hand corner of the level selection screen.
For the [Superb] Collector Trophies, play through all the levels once. Return to all the levels in Eternal Mode, and be as large as possible. There are some large tricky items that seem possible to get only if you play on Enternal. (Chandelier, placemats, japanese dictionaries)
ONE ROUND TROPHIES:
I call these one round trophies because they are acheived in one round, unlike other trophies needed by playing multiple rounds.
Love Rolling: Roll up 7650 “Things”
Master of Ruining: During one stage, clear the stage while breaking your Katamari over 50 times.
T-t-t-t-turn: Complete a stage using “Oji Turn” only 5 times.
D-d-d-d-d-dash: Complete a stage using “Oji Dash” only 6 times
H-h-h-h-h-h-hopping: Complete a stage using “Oji Hop” only 7 times
First Katamari: You have completed the first stage.
First Star of Rubbish: You have thrown away your first Katamari Star.
For love rolling, play through the “Wake the King” level. You should easily acheive it if you manage to roll into the cosmos. For Master of Ruining, and the 3 “Oji” trophies, play the kings dream, and crash 50 times, after doing 5 Oji turns (R3+L3), 6 Oji Dashes (forward/backwards quickly on both control sticks), and 7 Oji Hops (R2 or flick your controller up)
For the first katamari trophy, complete the tutorial. For the first star of rubbish trophy, complete any level twice then destroy your current Katamari.
MINI GAMES:
Punishment Regular Customer: Recieve Punishment 50 times.
Mini Gamer: Play all of the Mini-Games
Left The Atmosphere: Achieve a score of 50,000 on the Ending Mini Game
Punishment Master: Achieve a Score of 50,000 on the Punishment Mini Game
For the Punishment Trophies, lose 50 stages. For the Punishment Master, all I can suggest is play co-op, and dodge with a friend. Two players=Double the chances. Also avoid characters like “Ban-Ban” because of their larger sizes.
For Mini Gamer, complete all levels of the game and then go to to “Mini-Games” are on the Collections screen. Play all the minigames.
For Left The Atmosphere, play the Ending minigame, without missing the cloud. (Tip: Press X to flap you arms and stay in the air longer)
OBSERVANT TROPHIES:
Love Ranking: Check the rankings 5 times
Photographer: View a photo in the photoalbum
Superb Listener: Listen to five songs in the Music Menu
Film Fan: Watch 5 movies in Film mode, without skipping.
All can easily be done, aslong as you have PSN rigged up. For the photographer trophy, activate prince look and then press the selected button for camera, after you rolled up the camera present.
PLAYING TROPHIES:
Lonely: Complete 50 stages in a row in any mode apart from Coop or Battle.
Good Friends: Play 30 stages of Co-op or Battle
Creator: Create 200 Katamaris
Destroyer: Throw at least 50 katamaris away
Forever A Traveler: Complete all of Enternal
Congratulations: Complete all levels on Katamari Forever
Falcon: Clear all stages with Katamari Drive
Back Then: Clear all stages with Classic Katamari
If you are like me, you will play this game relentlessly for hours before talking to the outside world. Lonely trophy is a part of this. Then for good friends, go through battle mode 30 times, alone (with two controllers) or with a friend. If your not going for the platinum now, you should get this over time. Creator and Destroyer will happen as you are going for the remaining 4 trophies. For Congratulations, beat every level once, unlocking katamari Drive mode. Complete all levels with Katamari Drive available for the Falcon trophy. While doing the previous two trophies, you hopefully will have unlocked some levels with classic katamari mode and eternal katamari mode. Complete all the available levels so new ones appear,
(Note: No one knows exactly how to unlock eternals yet, but the best bet is getting a X points on a level or playing it X amount of times.)

good question. I guess that depends on how many hours you can stand to play katamari straight through. Not that it isn't great, it just wears on me after a few hours. I think I've played it about 20 hours now, and still have one or two katamari drives left to do.
Just a few questions… have you got the platinum? I only ask because I'm wondering if every level has an eternal mode, or just a bunch like in previous katamari games? Also, it appears to me that eternal mode unlocks from achieving a good score in drive mode (good to me is 80 or above, since the king/roboking barely insults you at that level). However, I'm not sure this is always the case, it also seems like some of them unlock from simply completing the drive mode, regardless of final score. Finally, to acheive Back Then: To unlock Classic mode, play through the corresponding level on Eternal Mode. (I know it becomes really obvious when you're playing, but I think its good to note this.)
Otherwise, good guide dude!

Thank you both very much. This is my first guide and that means a lot . I have yet to platinum this game, and I PLAN to this weekend, but some stubborn levels don't seem to work this way. I think my eyes may be hating on me but I have beaten every single available level. Till now all I have been doing is playing the levels available to me, and then something always seems to pop up. EDIT: I think you have to get a tleast a 70 on drive and forever modes to unlock classic/eternal.
Another answer to your question (sorta) is that some levels obviously dont have an eternal or classic katamari. For example, the heat stage couldnt have an eternal and the sprinkler stage couldnt have a classic (as you need the prince hop)
I would also like to point out a “trick” I found to knowing which levels have planets left.
Play Roll up the King Level on eternal. In the collections screen, go to the “Cosmos” section (I don't have the game in front of me, but I think it is on the last page) The planets will be in order by level, and if you know which planets match up to which level, you can easily find which levels are yet to finished.
October 7, 2009 at 8:43 pm #45163BigWoopMagazineMemberI think the trophies on this game are glitched! I swear I completed all the levels last night. When I completed the final eternal level and got to the main menu it said “Updating trophies” but no trophy popped up. I played the final classic level immediately afterwards and it did the exact same thing again. Any one else have this problem?
October 7, 2009 at 9:56 pm #45175BigWoopMagazineMemberHoly poop on a stick, theres way more eternal levels than I thought; Here's a list:

Sorry.
I tried to choose colors that were dark enough that you could read. I'll be honest and say I have seen much harder to read text on this site. I think the gold is nice, but all in all, i dislike the silver.
@BigWoopMagazine, I agree. I thought I completed every level on every mode, but it just kept on making more, or I had to figure out which ones I was missing.
I have finally claimed this platinum, and if anyone needs help finding a certain item or so, I can gladly provide details to the best of my ability.
