Difficulty: 3/10 (Due to boredom )
Enjoyment: 3/10 (Only due to Stealth playthrough)
Same as Hitman Absolution in almost every way. I do admire taht this game has a similar playstyle to Deus Ex – No kills/no alarms is possible however that doesn't give this game a glowing recommendation from me, it just means I had a tad bit of fun. This already hit the bin once I got the plat, one 'n done.
Was pondering if Knife of Dunwall was worth it, however Daud is that much of a bad ass to be worth $9.99

I don't understand. If Dishonored's playstyle is so similar to Deus Ex (HR I'm assuming), then how does the enjoyment get a 3/10 if you love Deus Ex (sorry if I'm assuming, but from what I've read, you do).

No apology needed – I loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution, enough for 4 playthroughs actually . While Dishonored is similar in some ways, I ultimately found the game to be boring throughout. I didn't particularly use any of the powers except for Blink and Bend Time where as in Deus Ex I used practically anything I could get my hands on and more. I didn't feel motivated enough to continue progressing through the story since there isn't any real motivation to be had. Yes, there's a plot which sets in motion the events that play out throughout the title however none of it was compelling. I didn't care about the world, I didn't care who I killed, it goes on. Gameplay wasn't all too satisfying (except stealth) such as the sword combat and gunplay; I think it got to the point where I just start Blinking through people just to get done with the game!!
While I did thoroughly enjoy the stealth playthrough, the rest of the game doesn't hold up for me. Deus Ex did everything for me and more, where as Dishonored did one thing and that was it. I think it's more of the fact that it was boring, which is more of a crime than anything when playing a game.
Zombie Apocalypse 2 and Dead Nation are practically the same game, however Dead Nation actually does everything right, if that makes sense? Just because one person can do something someone else can doesn't mean their any good at what they do, which is the only real answer I can give to your question on Dishonored and Deus Ex without claiming Dishonored was just boring.
Perhaps that answers some of your questions?

Difficulty: 5/10 (Grind/boredom)
Enjoyment: 4/10 (Had fun however the bugs, glitches, freezing, and more hold this title back from anything more)
There's not really much to say about this game. I wished this game had a longer development process as well as better marketing. This was a (sort of) unique FPS in a market filled with war simulators, which I appreciate; It combined different themes and elements that I particularly enjoy: cyberpunk, humanism, trans-humanism, spiritualism, etc. however none of them were used properly. In some ways, this game felt as if Eidos Montreal snorted a ship-ton of cocaine then proceeded to create DLC for Deus Ex: Human Revolution with a much more action-packed approach and J.J. Abrams bloom and flare effects.
The problems with this game though are agonizing and heart-wrenching to witness; I popped this game in expecting a patch however there simply isn't one, which isn't any good. When I stormed through the single player offering, I didn't experience a single glitch, bug, or freezing however the co-op portion of this title is frustrating to the point of myself taking a month-long hiatus on finishing this game. The net code is piss poor, consistent freezing for unlocking upgrades for 10-20 seconds, as well as constant kicks due to server errors – I know it wasn't my connection since I played perfectly fine on Crysis 3 multiplayer portion during that time (then again, it was an EA game that occasionally booted me).
I personally wouldn't mind seeing a sequel be produced, since the universe in this title is quite rich and interesting, I think. It's practically Deus Ex's kick ass sister Starbreeze deserved a bigger budget as well as longer development process since this actually could've been something worthy of recommending and even perhaps topping Call of Duty. Only if EA had poured more into this (some what) fresh breath of air.
Baffled though this plat is 3.10% Ultra Rare?!

That's probably because no one bought the game

This was basically Mafia II all over again (except the awesome twist Mafia II had) where the story was great throughout and everything else was… meh. I didn't really have much motivation to explore Hong Kong, to be honest, since a part of me just said, “If I wanted to explore the and collect stuff in the city, I'd go to the downtown area and collect bottle caps.” The whole thing with exploration and collectibles in an open world, to me, is that I'd rather do those things in a game where I know I'll never be able to go that specific place; hence Far Cry 3, New Vegas, etc.
Anywho, good game.

Difficulty: 5/10
Enjoyment: 6-7/10
So, this was a game that I've been waiting to play for awhile due to all of the good praise it has received through some friends and whatnot; did I like it? To be honest, it was alright. There wasn't anything here that was groundbreaking or extremely fun/addictive to keep me coming back. The one thing that I didn't like at all with this game was those goddamn puzzles that personally broke up the pace for me. Puzzles in this game were not fun and felt boring throughout, and I've been wondering if Darksiders II will even be worth my time since I've heard that game has double of them!!

Let it be known to the gods that I have slain the beast that is this fcuking turd! Jack once asked me if there was ever a hard difficulty setting I've given up on. We both gave up on this broken game. Well NOW, I toughed it out and NOW, I haven't given up on anything! Yay!!!!!!!
June 28, 2013 at 1:29 am #73472I773D33MABL3MemberGod Damn it Nathan!! Until know I could convince myself that casket of wank was a lost cause! Thanks very fcuking much for proving it can be done!!
I just plat Ni No Kuni.
Difficulty wise I'd give it a 4/10. Most of the challenges are surmountable by simply levelling and grinding. And the XP grind is definitely one of the shorter ones I've had to go through in an RPG.
The only difficult battles are later in the game and a healthy supply of items can easily keep you afloat. The only one that caused me issues was the Rank S in the Solloseum. You can't use items so recharging your magic is a balls and the enemy familiars are bloody nightmares to deal with.
My total playtime was just shy of 93 hours.
Even the item grind at the end was a lot shorter than I had expected. For my final alchemy weapon I needed 6 rare ingredients and I got four of them in the space of two hours this evening. The method is simple enough and anyone wanting to try for this can message me and I'll fire up the details.
June 30, 2013 at 2:31 am #73483gr8jrfanMemberIs there any better description for Eat Lead other than “casket of wank”? I think not.
July 1, 2013 at 1:46 pm #73484KriggsMemberJack would consider himself a “Wordsmith”…..I believe casket of wank proves that fact.
