Sorry, but in this matter you are crazy… There's absolutely no life on the Sun.
Sure extremophiles live in extreme environments, but nowhere near the Suns 6000c.

May 2, 2009 at 3:28 pm #24348parnakasMemberHi, ummm can we please leave religion out of this, as religion is a set of rules & teachings on how to live your life, not how fukin space was created.
i consider myself a religious guy so would you all kindly stop using religion stories in how space is created and whatnot.
dont force your opinions on others. it doesnt workMay 2, 2009 at 3:32 pm #24350kingawolMemberhmmm….Led Zeppelin is not considered a religion. (wont make another religion-based joke…)
May 2, 2009 at 3:40 pm #24352parnakasMemberkingawol…. thats acceptable because its led zeppelin.

(you mean Dark Side of the Moon is actually an address or something? , not just an album?)
May 2, 2009 at 5:05 pm #24356shadeblackParticipantparnakas, I've always said that there is no reason to assualt religion, but when you look at it logically, religion pushes belief onto others, not the other way around.
And Space has a huge part and important role in religion. if for example aliens were to come to this planet and tell us the origins of the universe, the religious beliefs are instantly nullified. that's just how it is.
Religion is indeed a set og guidelines on how to live your life well and healthy. But let's face it, if you're obeying the commands and beliefs of another person, are you really living your life?
I was raised Christian. By the age of seven or eight i figured it all out. Christianity especially, traps you into thinking if you leave the religion, you'll burn in hell. it reinforces this with the threat of The Rapture. Live your life as we say so, and you'll be blessed in the afterlife. If there isn't an afterlife, what have you accomplished by living your one and only life by the rules and commands of another?
This is my opinion, and I call it false hope. Its occult.
And now after saying all this, I'll probably get every religious person after my blood because I don't belive them. I've never liked the phrase, “You can't argue with religion”. ~I do. Especially when I often know more about the religion than the other person does…
Killer:
Actually, both me and l8scent discussed the pyramids.
The reason why we seem to be so agressive towards your opinions is because you continue to believe that your beliefs are fact. you continue to tell people they are wrong, then spout your belief onto them.
The extremophiles really clinched it as well… If im not mistaken, they live on Earth. extreme conditions on earth are much different to those of the sun.
The fact that your beliefs are so strong is indeed a good things, but perhaps you should think about the way you present them to others?
In debates an arguments like this, you can't get hot-headed. The point on threads like this is to indeed to argue. getting angry causes one to act, speak and write silly things, so staying cool is essential, whatever the opposition does.
bah… gotta get ready for work again!
May 2, 2009 at 8:17 pm #24357KILLER369Memberwell shade you calmed me down.
at least we both agree on one matter though. religion.
please don’t see this as a personal attack but in the bible, the part on genesis 1:17 i think. it states “WE shall create man in OUR image”. i think this is something to ponder over as there is only supposed to be one ‘lord’, so who are these other people mentioned?
i also believe that if there is one credible religion it would be the egyptian religion, as they have documented actual accounts of what early tribal humans would call gods.
its the same if modern man went 12,000 years back in time with all the tech we have today, we would be worshipped as gods to tribal man.
im not trying to force anything just saying my opinion.
as for the rest. there is life everywhere. but where theres life theres death.
May 2, 2009 at 8:24 pm #24360KILLER369Memberdid eny of U actually read that E.T letter to earth?
it probably isn’t real… but wat if it is?
not giving an answer is complete ignorance, however, its your decision.
May 3, 2009 at 12:25 am #24367shadeblackParticipantthat was going to be my next thing before, but like i said i had to go to work.
that link to the site is just silly. it's some guy having a laugh, with a shoddy website.
I thought it went…
“God created man is his own image”. ~Genesis 1:27
May 3, 2009 at 1:04 am #24369KILLER369Memberwell wat if it isnt?
the same should B shown if a message from god appeared, asking do we wish him to show up. even tho im an ‘atheist’ i would still answer yes.
its ignorance to discredit such a plausible thing asking you to do such a simple thing.
your probably right on the genasis part. but in my R.S class, there was an extract of a ‘quote’ from god. “we shall create man in our image, and he will be here to rulle the planet and all its inhabitants” or something similar. different wording same meaning. the point is that, who are these “we” and “our”?
do U understand wat im saying?
P.s wat do U work as? just interested.
im going to study science next year at college. pick a few things up as i go.
May 3, 2009 at 1:45 am #24366shadeblackParticipantI think you throw the word 'ignorance' around too much.
and I don't think it's at all plausable. if E.T life wanted themselves known, they'd show up. not play a silly game by sending a letter (in english at that!) to some guy with a shoddy website. it makes zero sense.
why do i discredit it? because there is no reason to believe it. people believe in religion. intelligent life wouldn't want you to believe in them, they'd give proof of their existence.
P.S my work sucks! I work at the local supermarket (Tesco). However, I'm going for an initial assesment for an I.T Apprenticeship on Wednesday, so hopefully I'll be able to quit Tesco.

Ok, your probably going to own me with some intense story like comment, but i want to try to discuss.
the first thing you said, i disagree. Religion is forced upon you as a small child, yes, but that is so you learn what is wrong and right early on (manners pretty much). By the age of 10, i think people are smart enough to make their own choices, and they can choose to believe what they want.
That thing you said here : “But let's face it, if you're obeying the commands and beliefs of another person, are you really living your life?”…. once again, as a small child i dont think we have any understanding of what the world is about. Once we get older, religion is then a choice. So, if you choose to believe someone else's commands and beliefs, that is your choice on how you want to live your life.
At an older age, i think we all know that hell is not a firey place with a little devil guy with horns, but its a place without happiness.
im not saying that what you are saying is wrong though, as a small child, religion IS forced upon you. Plz reply shade, i really like discussions with you!!
May 3, 2009 at 2:03 am #24377shadeblackParticipantIf you're really into alien stuff… I have to admit… Roswell is very interesting.
What do people often miss about it? Think about how such major inventions came straight after the roswell incident. Think Microwaves!
Roswell – 1947
the first microwave oven: 1947.
U.S. President Harry S. Truman signs the National Security Act of 1947 into law, creating the Central Intelligence Agency, Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the National Security Council. Just a couple weeks after.
The first Digital computer got a massive memory upgrade in 1947 just a few weeks after the ufo crash.
One month after, the United States Army Air Forces, along with some components of the United States Navy's air arm, becomes the United States Air Force. The National Security Act creates the Central Intelligence Agency, or “CIA”.
These could all just be coincidences, but the US clearly went nuts over something.
