Mandatory Trophy Support

It is great to read the news section, and see that Sony is making trophy support mandatory from 2009. That is gonna make game selection very difficult from now on!!

it's hard choosing games with trophies now it'll be harder choosing next year…atleast any games we choose has trophies.

yeah i first read this a couple days ago on kotaku.com

it's great that sony are finally making trophy support mandatory…

nothing bad can happen from it, so it's clearly good news.

Its great news they are finally doing this. I've already completed and sold 2 or 3 games before the Trophy patches came out, which is really annoying, as i would have liked Trophy support whilst playing them.

At least we can be happy that next year, every game will have them, so people arent going to miss out. Trohpies arent critical, but they do add a fun and challenging edge to games, and its good that Sony have made this announcement, it made me very happy.

what i'd love them to do now is add value to the Trohpies, maybe make it so that every 250 or so Trohpies you collect allows you to download or access some cool features for your PS3. Or make them redeemable for money off downloading PSN Games. Something like that would be brilliant.

I agree, there should be some reward for certain numbers of trophies. I have 214 at the moment.

Sephiroth it sounds like a great idea but with troyphies just about on all the new games it will be easy getting 250 troyphies.

Latest news is indeed that trophies will be of a value…in HOME. Trophies will be “exchangable” into the HOME currency.

well… umm… sony is already thinking about that as far as I've heard.

How about for ranks not trophies.
U could have 250 trophies but b rank 56778.
Im rank 8 with 369 trophies with 4 platinums

Yeah but if there were rewards for every 250, then that would be good.

i am really looking forward 2 this as i only have 4 games that are trophy compatible and rewards for getting every 250 sounds good maybe they could do it with every platinum trophy like u would need 10 feel free to add me i'm monkeymoobs i aint great but i'm level 5 with 137 trophies n 1 platinum
