Which one do you guys think is better all around?
All around means ALL movies, comics, dolls (oops! i mean Action Figures lol), video games, and plz dont say DC just because of the freakin Dark Knight. Seriously.
i would say Marvel. I like the characters more, the Marvel movies like Iron Man, Spider-Man 1 and 2 (not 3), X-Men, Wolverine are all awesome.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance on PS3 was amazing, Wolverine Origins game is really good, and some others were good.

MOVIES- In the last decade, DC has given the highest grossing super-hero flick in “The Dark Knight”. They also gave us one of the best Batman flicks with “Batman Begins” However, they also gave us the craptacular “Superman Returns” and “Catwoman”. As for unknown characters/stories, they gave us the okay “Watchmen”, the okay “V for Vendetta”, the okay “Constantine” and pile of crap that is “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”. I may be missing something there but I think that's about all them. Almost every single one of Marvel's film have been #1 opening weekend and have gone on to gross over $100-million at the box office, excluding “Elektra” & “The Punisher” and “Blade” flicks. That's pretty impressive in my books alone. The really impressive thing is that almost every one of their flicks is good if not great. I have loved the X-franchise, I have loved the Spider-Man franchise (the third being the weakest, obviously), I love “Daredevil”, the “Fantastic Four” flicks were good for what they were and “Iron Man” and “Incredible Hulk” were the best super-hero movies I've ever seen. WINNER: MARVEL
COMICS- Break it down and think about it for a moment. Who is the DC universe can you relate to? Superman is an alien, Batman is a billionaire, Wonder Woman is a princess… you can't really relate to anyone, can you? Marvel, on the other hand, you can relate to. This goes all the way back to Stan Lee's analogy of it all. X-Men were the outcasts just like most kids growing up. Spider-Man was the nerd who was picked on. The Hulk is just someone who is not understood. The Fantastic Four is a family. Sure, you still have the characters you can't relate to such as Iron Man (a billionaire) or Thor (a God) but still, you're already counting more in characters than DC. And they're much more interesting than DC's characters. DC is just so one dimensional. DC's other comic branches though are amazing. Vertigo is better than Marvel's MAX, easily. Still though, going to have to say… WINNER: MARVEL
ACTION FIGURES: This would've been Marvel back when Toy Biz still had the contract to make their action figures but ever since Marvel gave the cotract to Hasbro, their toys have gone down the crapper. DC's DC Direct is a great looking toy line which also makes figures based on actual storylines going on in the DC Universe. That is cool. WINNER: DC
VIDEO GAMES: Here's a tough one. Back in the day, Marvel and DC games were equally good. They were always fun to play with friends and always had great stories. Then came along superhero movies and, well, for the most part, ruined superhero games. “Marvel Vs. Capcom” and “Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe” are both incredibly fun fighting games. The “X-Men Legends” and “Marvel Ultimate Alliance” games are a lot more fun than the “Justice League” game that was put out. The “Iron Man” and “Incredible Hulk” games from Sega sucked, not to mention all the Spider-Man games since “Spider-Man 2 (I still say the original on the PS1 by Neversoft was the best). “Superman Returns” and “Catwoman” were equally as bad as their movies. The “Batman Begins” game definitely tried to be good, I'll give it that. I think it's all going to come down to the end of this year. Right now, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is a kick-ass game. However, “Batman Arkham Asylum” looks like it has a lot of promise. Let those two duke it out for the title here because sure, Marvel puts out more games but their quality is diddly-squat for the most part. WINNER: TIE
There you have it. Overall, MARVEL is the winner. We'll see if DC can take the crown this year for games.
May 9, 2009 at 5:47 pm #25039kingawolMemberokay , now i'm no comic fan , but i thought most of the movies made with superheros sucked. i like Iron Man , but Spiderman ? goody two-shoes. and what s up with Sabretooth being Wolverine's brother in the movie? (or is that just my mind playing tricks on me?)Batman begins was good and i found dark knight alright , Hulk was ok , so was Daredevil (one of my fav' superheroes with Wolfie and Punisher…) but Fantastic 4 …. X Men , i guess its alright , but ….. the Quality of a movie is in no way defined by its box office results. it only really defines the quality of the Marketing team and how well-known the superhero is. i think that s what i really wanted to say.
btw theres a demo of Marvel v. Capcom 2 on the us psn. its ok….Just about every superhero video game was awful and in my opinion Wolverine is a second zone game , a mix of Devil may cry and GOW. enjoyable , good (esp if you like wolverine), but not kick-ass , c'mon….but Batman Arkham Asylum could be one of the GOTY , so it just might be the best ever superhero game.
ps. i thought Spawn and Hellboy were fun ,in a crap way.

I too say Marvel all the way is better.
Also the fact that Gambit is marvel. I have been a Gambit fan since I was young.
