MemberLooks like EA is officially rebooting the franchise. It'll now be a modern-day shooter taking place in Afghanistan. Check it out:

MemberSeems to be an innapropriate setting considering the current war in Afghanistan, and the recent orders handed down for us to send more troops there in June or July. Oh well, I guess nothing is off limits for mainstream media anymore. I think its going to be a looooooooooooooooong time before I buy anymore FPS games though, unless something incredibly innovative comes out.

MemberBigWoop – agreed. The only FPS im buying is Bioshock 2. Other than that, no more FPS like this or COD for me, at least for a while.

MemberTotally agree. I'm sick of all those modern shooters about wars and things like that. Waht happened to all games like Duke 3D or Half Life or Doom wehre U had demons, aliens.BTW – did I said modern 😛

MemberOh yeah. I forgot Resistance – both parts rocked. Hope that Nathan will be back in fame and glory. He was one of the best char for FPS ever. I even shead a tear at the end of part 2 😀

MemberAs much as I love a good FPS, the Medal of Honor games were only midly fun so I may wait a long time till this ever get inside my PS3.

MemberI found the Medal of Honours appealing . I probably wont be getting many First Person Shooters in a while , unless of course something comes along that gets my attention . MW2 has more then enough action to satisfy my First Person Shooter needs , so i think im good for a while .

MemberMOH was started by Infinity Ward but i dunno why they left it, maybe cause of EA. Anyways, I predict to see MANY comparison videos of this and MW2.

Are you sure about that? Wikipedia says the first game was developed by Dreamworks Interactive, which is now EA Los Angeles

Yeah, Infinity Ward's first game was the original Call of Duty. It was indeed Dreamworks Interactive that developed the first two Medal of Honor games (and the two best, IMO). I remember Steven Spielberg making it a huge deal at the time because he was putting together a WW2 video game at the same time he was putting together a WW2 film (Saving Private Ryan).

I highly agree. MoH really deserves to be back in the spotlight because, at one time, it was the best FPS out there. The first two games on the PSX were great and so was Frontline on the PS2. From Rising Sun on, the series went downhill. Hell, there probably wouldn't even be a Call of Duty if it wasn't for MoH. It's only fitting to see MoH copy CoD now with its modern setting.
